If you are booked on a resident or senior discount fare, limited time fare such as Xciting deals, or in an inside cabin then GoBig, Better, Best cannot be combined with your booking. Also certain sailings are excluded - most notably Transatlantics, Transpacifics, repositioning cruises and full ship charters.  In most cases agency promotional group fares ARE able to have GoBig, Better, Best added.  If you are currently booked at GoBig or Better your agent can add GoBetter or GoBest anytime up until roughly 2 weeks or so prior to departure.

I think that must be the case for me.  I’ve got a great rate so I’m not complaining and we’ll gladly add a non-alcoholic drink package.  I figure I can enjoy an occasional drink in Michaels Club.  You guys have been so helpful and nice to this newbie!  June 2019 can’t get here quick enough!

  2. I'm stumped.   When I asked my TA about it, he said I'd have to rebook and it would be over $2000 more.  Should I just call Celebrity and try it on my own?  Would they let me since I booked through TA?

  3. We’re first time Celebrity cruisers and have a Sky Suite, if we don’t have an alcoholic beverage package do we pay for drinks in Michaels?  I’ve seen people post that they enjoy drinks there but don’t know if they have drinks as a perk.

In our case we were able to add Go Best after booking but before final payment. I was doing a dummy booking to check prices and Go Best came up with a good price so I called our travel agent and added it. Our original booking had classic drink package and paid gratuities. I was going to upgrade to premium and buy an internet package anyway so the Go Best wasn't that much more.

So did you add it or cancel original booking and rebook new one with it.  I ask because we can’t rebook.  I made a rookie mistake and booked with the non-refundable deposit so I don’t think I have that option.

  5. I cannot imagine a reason you would want to eat in the MDR. Luminae has its own small menu but also gives you the option of ordering anything from the MDR menu. So why mix with the masses :).

Thanks, Hank! I think that answers it. If I can get MDR menu too. We had heard the menu was a little limited and we're sailing after the revolutionizing 😊 so maybe they'll switch things up a little.

    Thx again!

  6. The Celebrity line has three main restaurants. You will be assigned to one of them. The Main Dining Room (MDR) is for everyone not traveling in Aqua class or a suite. They have two fixed traditional seatings (early & Late) and 'select' dining, which means you select the time you want to go, as in a landside restaurant. Aqua class cabins are assigned to Blu and it is open seating and time. Go when you want during the times it is open. Suite passengers have their own restaurant, Luminae, which is also open time dining. If you find you don't want to eat in your restaurant, you can eat at the buffet. These areas are all included in your fare, no extra charge. There are other free venues, the Aqua Spa Cafe for healthier offerings, the grill, pizza, etc. There will also be some specialty restaurants that cost extra. All of this will be listed in your daily planner. EM

We’re booked in a sky suite on Celebrity Equinox and have an assigned 6:00 pm dining time. I keep reading that suite guests are assigned to a separate restaurant but we have an assigned time. So, can we eat in MDR if we choose to, or just Luminae?

  7. Hey all,

My other half and I are traveling with our twin 12 year old sons on the Carnival Dream Memorial day weekend and I am stuck on which cabin to get.

I can get a cove balcony which is on deck 2 and close to the restaurant and theater and the boys carnival kids club. Or i can get a balcony cabin up on deck 8 which is closer to the pools and the lido buffet restaurant.

I was told that I would not like a deck 8 balcony because you are always looking down on people walking around on the lanai on deck 6 and could not really see the ocean. Any balcony cabin above deck 6 has no privacy is what i was told.

I want to see the ocean but also want it be convient cabin for both the boys and myself too!!! Anybody have an opinion on this.

Please let me know i as I have to book today.

    Thanks

    Stefen

Hey, we’re on the same cruise. I chose an upper deck 11. The cove was a little blocked to me and I’ve never been that low. I wasn’t sure I’d like that. Just as an FYI, I’m from Franklin 😊
