  1. Your medallion is your boarding pass. After you go through security, you will go to a representative and scan your medallion. It will show your travel group and you will show everyone’s passport. Then onto the ship you will go. Easy peasy! I would assume if getting medallion at port, you would go through this procedure and then go to counter to get medallion.

  2. EZ Check is for the end of the cruise. On your second week you can check with the guest service( I would go the first day you are on board to check about it) and see if they are doing ez check and get paperwork.  This is when you sign up to have your luggage checked all the way to your final destination. If your airlines participates ( most of the major airlines do participate) you fill out the paperwork, you will get your luggage tags and boarding passes for your flight. You will need flight information, confirmation number. You will receive these the afternoon/evening before disembarkation.  You put your luggage out the night before disembarking and don’t see it till your final destination. It cost $25.00 per person and then whatever your airlines charge for baggage. There is no overweight fee. Best way to end the cruise. No hassle with luggage. What ship are you sailing on?.

  3. On the app go under personal information &documents and it will show what you are missing. Will be an orange !  mark. Have you ordered your medallion ? You should be able to get the transfer when you get on the ship. Why won’t your TA do that for you ?  Where are you flying back to?  If you are flying into an airport in the US, do you know about EZCheck?

  4. I always go to guest services our second day on the ship and ask about EZCheck. They don’t seem to send out the information anymore. I get the paperwork and return that day. It is usually due back Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning ( for cruising sat -sat.). They have never charged for overweight bags and we have been using this service for quite awhile. Best way to end cruise!,

  5. We disembarked the Sky Princess on Saturday, January 28;2023. We had refundable OBC and knew that we would receive a check for it. Last year it took 10 weeks to get the check. So I was not expecting it till April or MAY. We received our check yesterday!!  Just 16 days after disembarkation ! Just make sure you check all your mail.

  6. We just used EZ check in December, after cruising on Regal from Fort Lauderdale. We flew JetBlue. We used it again the other week after cruising on the Sky. Again, make sure you have your confirmation number and all flight information. Your flight does have to depart after 11:30 am. If you are flying on Southwest your flight can’t depart after 6:00 pm.  Other airlines does not matter when you depart as long s after 11:30am. Best way to end your cruise. It does cost $25.00 per person plus bag fare. Best money spent though!!

More misinformation from poorly trained Princess reps! 🙄

If $25 or less you must request a cash refund at Guest Services on the ship; if over $25 no request is necessary & have received a check on average about 4 weeks after the end of the cruise.

Thanks for information. Figured it was misinformation!!!!

  8. We disembarked on January 22, 2022 from Sky Princess and had refundable OBC. We have not received it yet. I called Princess today and the lady told me I had to request the OBC??!!! Is this really what you have to do??  I have my statement and it says the refund has been sent to Corporate Finance.  We were on B2B cruises so it is not a small amount.

Thank you very much for this information. We won’t have a hire car after flying in internationally, so is there somewhere to wait outside please ?

Also, can you confirm Lab Doctor results are acceptable to Princess?

    Many thanks.

Princess accepts the paperwork you will receive from Lab Doctor. we used them in January.  Also, shops and places to eat around the shopping center. Good area to walk, if you are staying at any of the hotels around there.

Has anyone recently gone to Lab Doctor on SE 17th Street in Fort Lauderdale for a Rapid Antigen test prior to embarkation.  They do not take reservations and accept walk-ins only.  We are wondering if there are lines of people outside or if it is reasonably quick to get the test and be on our way?

Yes we used them in January. There was a line, but we were only in line about 15 minutes. while in line you fill out your paperwork. The test was quick and you wait outside for results. They  bring your paperwork out to you. We waited for 15 minutes, had paperwork and we were done.  This was done at noon, on a Thursday. Later we saw no line outside. Very nice and professional. Antigen test is $49.00 per person.

You used it in January of 2022?

We inquired and were told it hasn't restarted yet. (Also January of 2022 - Fort Lauderdale)

Yes we used it on our cruise in January 2022. We disembarked on January 22, 2022 from Sky Princess. I had to check with guest services about it, as they had always left the paperwork in our cabin pre covid.  Got the paperwork from them( guest services) and had to be returned by Wednesday ( 19th) at noon.

Thanks for all your input!  I have decided to not risk it.  Our flight doesn't leave until 9PM!   That will be a long wait at the airport, but at least there will be no stress getting off the ship.

Check on ezcheck when you get on the ship. If they have it and your airlines participates, it is the best way to finish the cruise.  Have your flight info and confirmation number with you and get the paperwork from guest services. They will get your luggage the last night and you will not see it until you get to final destination. Yes, it cost $ but so worth it! You will also get boarding passes. We have done this every cruise and did it this past January on the Sky Princess.

  13. You will have the BEST Captain of all the a Princess ships!!    Captain Tuvo or Captain Bye Bye as you will learn to know him by.  We have had him two times as the captain of the ship and he is absolutely wonderful and funny!!  He will be walking around and loves to talk to the passengers. Enjoy your cruise and hope you will enjoy Sky Princess. We have sailed on her twice and booked to sail on her next January.

Good to know that this is still possible. Coming up in April is our first cruise as Elite, and we're both coffee drinkers. What's the best way to do the swap, and how long does it take to happen?

When you get to your cabin, call room service and tell them that you want to hand in your bar setup for coffee cards. They will pickup the bar setup and your coffee cards should be applied to your medallion in a couple hours. That is how it worked for us in January.

  15. Also Labdoctor on 17th street does rapid antigen test. Walk ins only. Give you paperwork that you will need for princess. $49.00 per person. Lab doctor is 5 minutes from Port Everglades. We used Labdoctor for ur cruise in January.

    Do tell, what is EZCheck?

Your luggage is checked into the airlines for you. You fill out the paper work (as stated above). Princess verifies with the airlines and if they clear it, you will receive your boarding passes and your bag tags will denote ez check. They will be taken to the airport for you and you get them at your final destination. No hassle withe bags on disembark day. This is for FLL. The fee was $25.00 for the luggage delivery and $30.00 for airline baggage fee. You do not pay anything for luggage that is over weight. So nice not to have to pull your luggage around.
