We also use Wrinkle Release but we don't use it as often now since I finally found a great way of packing.

Obviously every person has a different take on tipping. Seems there is a great deal of speculation of who is included in the tipping pool and I'm pretty sure nobody outside of the cruise industry really knows. So I say tip the way that you individually feel you should.

Yes, I've written in stuff like cinnamon rolls and got them.
Thanks, great to know there is a possibilty:)
-
Has anyone ever written in anything themselves for breakfast? On Princess I sometimes would write in Fried eggs or smoked salmon and cream cheese....sometimes I got it, sometimes not

You can use any number of devices but only one at a time. To switch devices, you may need to visit logoff.com to end the first device session before it normally times out.
Thank you!
-
When they say one device, does that mean one device at a time, or are you only allowed to use the same one device?

In the Caribbean, we usually take just our cruise card and drivers license. We leave our passports in the safe. I don't think a photo copy of your passport is acceptable ID. We do make copies of our passport just in case it gets lost.

Wow, 5 years! I have only ever heard the word Pervasive used in negative scenarios, and it seemed like such an odd choice.
You're right about their choice of word. Pervasive is used usually meaning an unwelcomed influence, they really should use a different term, such as 'ship wide' or something.

You keep saying this, but it is not true. Gratuities are optional, or as Royal Caribbean says on their website, 'Gratuities are at the discretion of each guest.' They cannot call it gratuities and then stop allowing passengers to remove them.
If this was a service charge, that everyone pays, I think we would have much less arguing about tips.
I like that idea of calling it a service charge. As one who tipped at the end on my first cruise, before it went 'auto'....we still tip at the end as many others do.

I used VZW Wi-Fi Calling in Cozumel last week and encountered no fees whatsoever. Even if you were using Wi-Fi calling in your home, it doesn't use your minutes in anyway and simply works off the Wi-Fi, so honestly I don't think it matters where the router is as long as it can connect to the service.
I'm so glad I read this post and I have to give you a big THANK YOU! I googled VZW wifi and I found the page on Verizon's site. I not only will use it on the ship, but more importantly, I can use it at my cabin in PA, which has a weak cell signal, Again THANKS!:)

Don't understand why they cut them out, it couldn't have cost them much, mostly watered down punch cocktails. Meanwhile everything else on the ship costs us more.

I totally agree with ZoeyVictoria, and if they give you any crap, hit them with your noodle:D:D:D
In their noodle:D

Line cutters and chair hogs aren't real causes of catastrophic and potentially fatal fires on board.
Nobody said they were. The majority that are against smoking on a cruise ship are more concerned about how smoke or smokers annoy them. When a non smoker passes through a smoking section, they either cover their nose or wave their hands around.....they don't pick up a fire extinguisher:D

Uber Rich is defined differently by people depending on their preception of wealth.
To me you are "Uber Rich" if you could afford to buy your own cruise ship without making the slighest dent in your bank accountant.
This is true and I also notice my rich friends never admit they are rich...they are just 'well off'....maybe because they aren't rich enough to buy a cruise ship? :D .
-
What is 'uber rich' ? I looked it up and it said the elite, upper class, billionaires and multi millionaires. Many celebrities go on cruise ships. We have no way of knowing what fellow passengers net worth is. I'm sure some who are 'uber rich' want the excitement that happens on cruise ships, just like we do, only with better accommodations :D

Thinking Charlie Brown listening to the school PA. Whatever, I guess noise pollution is not an issue for you. Unless you live near a highway, then we can build 1,000 of miles of tall walls, unless they are on the US- Mexico border, then no, not so good.
Well, going on a cruise ship with thousands of people....I'd say noise is not an issue for me :D
-
The issue is I don't want to hear another announcement about something I don't care about at the bequest of someone I'm not even cruising with.
One more announcement is not the worse thing that could happen while on a cruise. And it just might prevent someone from doing something that is restricted.
-
The OP observed something on another ship and stated it was a hazard, and also stated that an announcement should be made. It's not a bad idea to remind passengers of rules when they are being broken. What's the issue here?

Wow, thank you for the kind words! :)
Enjoy your upcoming cruise on the Gem!
You're very welcome and thank you!
-
That had to be the best review my wife and I ever read. So glad you and your wife enjoyed your cruise on the Gem especially under the circumstances you experienced. I must add that you seem to be an extraordinary, good natured , gracious, well spoken and generous young man and I would be privileged if I ever was lucky enough to have you on the same cruise. Your Pop must be proud to have you as a son.

You're not dreaming, but that was two cards ago.
The unlimited card was supposed to be one card per person, but some people were abusing it. They were buying the one card, then letting everyone in the family get soda with that one card. Blew it for everyone.
That unlimited card was replaced by a punch card that got you 20 glasses of soda. No more abuse of the system, but the soda amounted to only a half-can; fountain soda was given if it was something in the spout. If you ordered something that was from a can you could get the leftover from a previous purchase. It could be flat by then.
And that brings us to the current card. You pay $25 and can purchase $50 worth of cans of soda. If you don't spend it all, there is a return of the balance of the purchase price that you have not spent. But it's an upfront load. The first $25 worth of soda is full price; the remaining $25 worth of soda is free.
Thanks Ruth...It's a shame people cheat. I brought my 3 kids on that cruise and told them, they better like lemonade and surprised them in their Easter baskets on the ship with their own soda cards(they were thrilled) I plan on going on a cruise this coming September with just my wife on the Nieuw Amsterdam , so I guess I will get the $50 card...when that runs out, I guess I have no other choice but to drink beer ;)
-
Am I dreaming or did I buy my kids a soda card back in 2004 on the Zaandam and it was for unlimited sodas?

The SeaView Cafe is only found on all Radiance class ships with the exception of Radiance who had it removed during her drydock in May.
I was wondering if it will be removed on the Serenade after the drydock....If so, I'm so glad I get to experience it before the possibility of it's removal.
