  1. We booked ours a year out and were able to book excursions. If you're not seeing any available, it's probably a glitch on their website. Their website sucks and glitched out on us all the time.

  2. Don't waste your vouchers on juice, coffee, tea, or water. The buffets are fully stocked with that stuff and they have no problem with you filling up and taking it back to your room. We used less vouchers than we thought as we were off ship on excursions and such half the time, and when we were on the ship, we drank coffee in the morning and flavored water in the hot afternoon.

  3. With your scooter, you'll have to take the elevator on the ship, which everyone else will be using too, so that could take awhile. Then going through customs, you have to go down escalators, so you'd have to use the 1 elevator that they have, as does everyone with a stroller. We used the elevator and the line was awful. Be prepared!

  4. KatRangoon - if you don’t mind me asking, what kind of room did you have?

We were in the SuperFamily Balconies. From my understanding they are the same size as regular balconies. The portable cribs were too big to go at the foot of the bed, so they had to be next to the side of the bed between the couch and the TV/desk. We couldn't sit on the couch easily with the bed made up, just barely enough room to inch past the crib to get to the bed.

  5. When we went, they said they went off birthdate, so no aging up. However, if they have a low number of kids of an age group registered for the cruise, they make plans to combine groups. My 12 yr old and 17 yr old were combined into 1 group because of numbers.

  6. The crib was a Chico, and those are bigger than normal pack n plays. It was so big in fact, it took up almost all the available floor space and we couldn't keep it up for naps and such and had to just have her sleep on the bed.

  7. I guess the question is regarding the AFT or FRONT Super Family & Super Family Plus cabins on Meraviglia.

The floorplan is different to the setup you described which is more common on Seaside.

The Super Family Plus has 2 bedrooms with balconies , 1 small inside bedroom , 3 baths.

The Super Family Plus Balcony , Super Family Plus Ocean View , Super Family Balcony staterooms

are described with photos, artist renderings and floorplans on the website of MSC USA.

Ahh, yes, I see now reading the last couple comments. I saw someone earlier in the thread ask about Seaview (I was on Seaside in the rooms and knew they were the same), and did not see the mention of the other ship as I was skimming through the bickering. The Superfamilies with bedrooms on the other ship sounds really nice and would have been helpful with our 2 year old for naps, but I highly recommend the Seaside/view Super Families as well, as the connecting rooms were fantastic for our large family!

  8. Tracking with the wristbands wasn't working when we went on the June 2nd cruise, they said they weren't sure if they were going to continue the program. Our 12 and 17 yr olds had wristbands (that we purchased for $5), and they were great as room keys and for them to get drinks, but otherwise they weren't used for anything. Seaside advertises a lot of stuff (especially for kids) that isn't actually there. :(

  9. How big is your 2.5 year old? The reason I ask, ours will be 2 when we cruise and is already 31lbs (and fairly tall for her age). She is still in a crib at home and I am nervous she'll be too big for the pack and play!!

Sent from my SM-G930T using Forums mobile app

She's about 30lbs and fits into 3T clothes. It was long enough for her, longer than USA pack n plays (which she doesn't fit in anymore), which was part of the problem, it's so much bigger than the ones we're used to, I wasn't expecting it to take up so much space!

  10. If you ask your room attendant, they will provide a pack n play from Chicco (we recently cruised with our 2.5 yr old). It's huge and took up most of our floor space. In fact, it was such a hassle, we ended up just having her sleep with us so we wouldn't have to deal with it in the way all week.

Oh, and normal pack n play sheets won't fit it, we brought ours and they were too small. Also, the only place to put it is next to the couch and it takes up the whole area in front of the couch all the way to the bed. So we had trouble sitting on the couch or even getting over to the bed once it was set up. AND, with us so close, our little one had no interest in napping, she just wanted us since she could touch us wherever we were in the room.

  11. On our 7 day cruise, my son and I used about 1.7 of our 3g allowance. We used it for facebook browsing and article reading, emails, gchat messaging to eachother when we were separated on the ship, stuff like that. We didn't watch videos or video chat. Hope that helps. :)

  12. Seaside June 2nd-9th, didn't have very many kids. So few in fact, the 11-14 and 15-17 kids clubs were combined the whole week and my kids said it was still sparse. The kids water play area had kids in it, but only a few at a time. There are also very few activities planned for kids on Seaside, so if you're looking for your kids, you might pick another line. If you're looking to be away from kids, Seaside might be a good choice.
