Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. JIMBO, did you encounter any construction in the parking garage you parked at and/or were the elevators working? Also, are the handicap spots in covered garage or out in the open?
  2. So I see that Carnival has their own parking garage D/E at the Port of Miami terminal. From what I have read from other forums including Cruise Critic, previous Carnival cruisers have described a nightmare due to on-going construction in that ALL elevators were in-operable and part of garage is blocked off. For summer of 2023, 1, Is this true, 2, does the main terminal drive have clear signs stating Carnival parking and 3, is there numerous handicap parking spots? If the construction nightmare IS true, where else are Carnival cruisers parking? Thanks ahead of time for your response!
  3. NOTE: I politely ask that you Please reply only if you have USED the CARNIVAL parking garage within the last cpl months. So I see that Carnival has their own parking garage D/E at the Port of Miami terminal. 4. Just have a generic question on day of embarkation. Not that companies/ships matter, but using Carnival Celebration. Does parking at port of Miami fill up quick? What about handicap parking, is there quite a lot or just a few and does it fill up quick?
  5. Has anyone here ever just parked their car at MIA and then took a ride-share to Port of Miami ? I don't want to deal with the hassle of the port with SO MANY passengers at one time and TRYING to find a spot like everyone else! The costs would be significantly less than what the port charges minus the ride-share.
  6. Quick INFO: Going on Celebration 7-nighter. in 2023 (Port of Miami) We are considering parking off-site to save approx. $80-100 instead of parking AT Port of Miami. I heard it's a nightmare to navigate that area morning of the cruise. Can anyone recommend a good off-site parking vendor that has ACTUAL shuttle service or has anybody used an off-site parking vendor and had a nightmarish experience with either damage to vehicle, poor shuttle service and/or just frustration with the vendor? God forbid, but has anyone had vendor lose their keys/keyfob? 2nd thought was to park at MIA and just take a rideshare. ANY thoughts and/or experience on that? Thanks ahead for any suggestions, stories!
