Because it hasn't left.
Seems about right...

I cant seem to find any reviews on this cabin. Has anyone had this one? It is a HC all the way forward. Odd shaped cabin so the beds cannot be separated. Was wondering if the room stays cool enough. I cannot tolerate a hot room at night. If you have had this one would love to hear from you.
We did a B2B in 6103 - you have an awesome cabin. Loved ours but wished we had one of those end rooms. No problems with cabin temp.

Late April :(
-
Just cause you read it on CC doesn't make it true...
I'm holding in my hands (makes it tough to type!) 2 Carnival Cruise Vacation Guides - one good through April 2015, and one good through April 2017. Got 'em both at my TA. No charge. Perhaps before we go making definitive statements answering peoples questions, we should make sure we know what we're talking about...

Yep. It's a B2B. It is 2 of the journey cruises. An 11 day first, ad then a 10 day to return. We got an outstanding price during the last 24 hour sale they had. Parking and gratuities will have a higher cost than the cruise fare for one person.
Never know there were deck plans listed on CC. Thanks
Also try Shipmate and Shipmate app
Have you found our roll calls?

If you go to the block just above these posts and click on 'Find your Carnival roll call' you can always click through to it.

I'd avoid it if you can - we were above the disco once and NEVER AGAIN!
One of the first things we check when looking at cabins.

I hope someone will correct me if I am wrong.
Oh, I wouldn't worry about that...
Even if you're right :p

Try the Holiday Inn French Quarter - NOT a chain experience at all.
And join our roll calls.

You should contact John Heald on his ** page or his blog immediately and demand a free cruise!

How far south the Dawn will sail after we leave the river? Just wondering how warm to dress...
-
I'm booked on the Dawn Cruise to Nowhere out of New Orleans in November. Although I've been on a few other cruises, 2 with NCL, I've never been on a CTN. What should I expect?
Thanks

IAfter check in can I out them in our cabin or do I have to keep them with me during lunch?
You could, but for a discussion like that you may want to handle it at home...
:p

Mufalettas from Central Grocery is a "must".
If you want a good muffelatta, you want to go to Frank's - where the locals go. Much better food, and no line of tourons out the door and down the block. It's just a door or two down from Central. Nice balcony for dining overlooking the "park".
-
If you are a returning guest you put in your NCL Latitudes number and the promo should be applied
Not quite sure how this would have any effect on a Carnival cruise...
-
They are little nerds and like to read.
That's a good thing

When you get your SS card it will show your dining assignment on it - seating time and table #. You may be pleasantly suprised. Or not. Be sure to get there early if you need to talk to the M'D cause the line can get long, and by the end of the line it may be too late.

great.. um what is that other place????
i was thinking it might start with a Z?

Sounds like.. ?

We got a whale of a offer from Carnival this week, and could not pass it up. So we are now booked on a 11 night Nola to San Juan Journey Cruise!
We hit High Season for our time in Nola so the hotels were slim pickings and $$$$! We are staying at the Crown Plaza French Quarter before, and have all ready booked a kids tour of Nola the day before the trip departs.
My questions are:
Transport from the French Quarter to the Ships Port - Taxi - how long does it take and cost?
About 5 - 10 minutes and about $20
Places to eat dinner / lunch (not too spicy) on the Saturday?
Maspero's on Decatur/Peters near Crescent City (another option) and across from the old Jax brewery
How long are the lines at Cafe du Monde for breakfast????
They range from insane to forget about it
Try after 10a
Best tour on the Saturday night? My DH will be doing this one by him self.

Ship Questions
Menu for 11 nights?
Yes.
Room Service menu, is it the standard one, or is a fee charged now?
Standard with a couple new items for $$. You're thinking of NCL
Fun Times and Camp Carnival for 9-11 year olds - does anyone have any for this itn?
Yes. I'm sure someone does.
Yes. I'm a smarta$$. :p
If we dont have FTTF what time to arrive at the port by?
I always get there around 1030a. If you get there early you'll be in the first group to board after the Anointed Ones (Plat & D) and FTTF. Otherwise get there after 130p and you should be able to walk right on
What special classes, etc on Journey cruises do they offer?
Dunno - they don't actually start the Journeys until October. Saw something vague and general about it on the website last night. BTW, they have opened shorex bookings for our cruise
Can you still bring 1 bottle per person of wine? And then a case of soda? (we got the $2.99 deal on the water bottles, thanks for that tip!)
Yes. 2 if you're doing the B2B - don't remember if you are.
Edit: never mind about the B2B. I just learned to read yesterday.
Anything about the Dream that we should know about?
Probably. My first time on her too.
See above remark re: SA
Thanks everyone!

Given OP's cruise history & experience - this can't be a serious questions, come on - tell the truth :D:D
It is - this will be a new experience for me. I'd love to hear from others who've done this more about what it's like. I have a picture in my mind, but I'd like to know if it's accurate...
Hope it is...

CTB is probably a typo, OP is talking about CTN which is a cruise to nowhere.
CTB was a typo. I usually double check everything before I hit roasbt. :p
For the OP, CTN's are usually a big party. A lot of people trying to get a weeks worth of cruising into 2 or 3 days. Lot's of drinking, casino is crazy and late night partying. Not very much like a "regular" cruise.Oh nos, that sounds awful! Whatevah shall I do? :D :p :D
Any other feedback? This can't be right...
Off the Dawn on 9/4!
