  1. I know that everyone on here has an opinion about Formal/Dressy nights. What are your thoughts on the ladies showing cleavage?

I am a lady in my 20s that is well endowed. Unless I buy a dress that my mother would wear, it can be difficult to find a cocktail dress without the ladies being on display.

  2. If the kids like animals, check out Daniel Johnson's in Roatan. They offer pick up from the port, a tour of the monkey's and sloths, and then you get to go snorkeling. We did it in April and loved it and are scheduled again next week!  Only $55 per person too!

  3. We were there in April and our experience with the snorkeling was amazing! We were a group of 4 in ours late 20s. 2 of us had been snorkeling before and the other 2 had not. We first arrived at the sanctuary and played with the animals. After that it was a short walk to the dock where we snorkeled. Our boat was captained by Daniel, but we had about 10 people on board. Our group of 4 had one guide, Thomas, that was awesome! He explained the process of how to snorkel and made sure that we knew how to not kick up the sand. The other guide went a bit slower due to the physical limitations and age of the others on our boat.

The area we went to was very shallow, but the scenery was amazing! I attached some photos (We took videos so I had to screenshot. Ignore quality!). We saw a ton of fish, a few lobsters, a ray, and so much more. After the snorkeling, our driver took us to West Bay. We had Eunice, which is Daniel's aunt. She drove us across the island to a resort that Daniel recommended for us. We had some lunch and enjoyed the beach a bit. Eunice waited and we never once felt rushed. We were all exhausted by this point and asked to head back early.

We never once felt unsafe and it was one of the highlights of our trip. My husband and I are booked with them again for Feb.

  4. I was reading another thread and someone said that both them and their spouse received offers for a Premier or Ultra Cruise and they were able to book under both. I booked in June for a Premier cruise and used my husband's offer since he had the better offer. Our cabin will have 3 people in it, my husband, my mother in law, and myself. We don't sail until Feb, but I was wondering, could I contact Carnival and use my offer for myself so that I receive my casino cash and perks? My mother in law was fine with not getting invited to anything since I'd be the "guest", but if she can be the guest she can enjoy some of the perks as well that would be nice.

Has anyone ever done this, and if so who did you contact?

    Thanks!

  5. Think of your card as a slip you would get at a normal Casino. If you put in $100 and play $50 of it and want to move to a new machine. You just hit "cash out" and it will put the $50 on your card. When you move to a new machine, you put your card in and now you have your $50. If you run out of cash, you can use your card and "Add Funds" This is going to charge your Sail and Sign Card. So if you add $300, you will now have that $300 to move from machine to machine.

As for how it is charged, We gambled quite a bit in April on the Breeze and we had multiple "$100" charges each day from what we had gambled. At the end of the cruise we had money on our cards still from winning and we went to the cage and cashed out. You can then either hold on to the cash, or use it to pay on your Sail and Sign.

Hopefully that makes sense! It's actually very easy to use. You don't have to worry about paper slips with cash on them as everything stays on your Sail and Sign card.

  6. We used Whale Watch Cabo a few years ago. They were AMAZING! Our guide was a marine biologist and knew so much about the whales. They also went further out than any other boats giving you a better view of the whales. They were very respectful of their space and not intrusive. They were a bit more expensive than others, but they did provide everyone with a link to all of the photos for free.

Next time we are in Cabo we will be booking with them.

  7. I know that Stephen Schwartz will be the cruise director on the breeze on September 9th. Has anyone seen him do the quest show?

He did it in April on the Breeze. It didn't start until midnight and it was a packed show! I may or may not have done a few things to help my team win.;p

  8. Near the beach will mean Miami Beach -- lots of hotels there, but expect prices in early Feb to be sky high!

Downtown hotels are popular and will offer lots of local dining and nightlife options within walking distance. Hotels in the Mary Brickell area are very popular (Hampton Inn and others); other popular downtown hotels include the Intercontinental, Doubletree, and various Marriott brands.

What's you budget? Who's travelling with you?

I would not choose an airport area hotel - generally isolated, with not many local dining options nearby - unless I had a VERY early flight out of MIA the next morning.

    Your call! :)

Thank you. Budget would ideally be $250 or less but there is some flexibility. It will be my husband and I (both early 30s) and my mother in law. It is the first time any of us have been to Miami. Thank you for the ideas!

  9. We will be getting back from a cruise on Superbowl Sunday. We are huge football fans and do not want to fly during the big game so we are looking to stay somewhere in the Miami area (preferably near/between the Airport and Cruise Port. This is all of our first times in Miami and we are are not familiar with the area.

Any suggestions for a hotel and a place to watch the big game? If it's near the beach EVEN BETTER! :)

  10. I was on the Breeze in April. Depending on your bet level and what you consider a big win...

They had a ton of the same style of game. You have to get 6 orbs, wolves, suns, etc. to trigger the free game. Max bet for this game is $3.60. My husband did pretty well on this game but the first night won $1200 on this one. The other big payouts were coming from the game that you have to line up the cash and get a wheel spin. There were always people waiting to play and many betting low were winning $100 or so. Max bet was $6 but my husband and another lady were the only I saw betting max. With that game my husband had big wins, but like any gambler, It's not a win until you walk away with the money. ;)

  11. My husband racked up close to 15,000 points on our last cruise which qualified him for a Premiere. We booked one in January and I had a few questions...

    1. We will have 3 people in the cabin, husband, mother in law, and myself. Who will get the goodies for the Premiere?

    2. Cruising out of Miami and want to know is the Priority embarkation worth getting there early? Do we go before or after FTTF?

    3. On the last cruise my husband had to make the casino host aware of his points before they started comping him dinner, bottles of wine, etc. Do we need to notify someone or should we expect this? I don't to sound greedy! :'):')

  12. not really, i have done 25 premiers, elite and ultras

we can literally stand there or even be outside the casino area across the hall playing cards, and we order drinks for others who are playing cards with us that dont have DOU card... we simply have them tell waiter waitress what they want.. the bar staff do not care.. as long as you have a card to cover the drink

part of their job is not to watach who drinks the drink and they in fact, dont care who does, as i mentioned... they know you are ordering for others, and its not an issue

maybe things have loosened up a bit

I was on the Breeze in April with my husband and the casino staff would bring us both drinks although he was the only one with the DOU card. They were the ones to offer too! So you are very right about them not caring.

  13. My husband had about 15,000 points on our cruise in April. On that cruise we did receive comp dinner at Cucina (I don't eat meat so steakhouse was not as appealing), we had a nice comped bottle of wine at dinner, plus some sweets sent to our room. I don't recall any sort of bounce back, but he did just get Premier and Getaway offers. We chose an 8 day Premier in Jan on the Horizon. He is getting $500 Casino Cash plus reduced rate for room.

One question for those that have been on a Premier, my husband and I are cruising along with my MIL in the same room. I've seen mixed answers about who gets his perks. Does he get to take a guest with him? Can he take 2?

I gamble but not as heavily and this is my MIL's first cruise. I'm sure there will be lots of time spent in the casino. ;)

  14. Roatan- Go to Daniel Johnson's Sloth and Money Hangout if you enjoy animals. We paid $55 per person for playing with animals, snorkeling the reef, and a personal Island Tour. Daniel's aunt Eunice was our personal chauffeur and was amazing!!!!

Belize- Caye Caulker! We used coral breeze tours and went snorkeling and spent time on Caye Caulker. Their crew was great!

  15. Mt husband played a $5 slot on the Breeze that started max getting on it's own. It was taking $25 a hand and he was trying to hit cash out for it to stop and it wouldn't. I ran and got the manager and he witnessed it himself and gave my husband his money back plus $50 in free play. I felt that was awesome as most casinos would say "sorry ".

  16. There were reviews, but they were not very complimentary about the boats. They were more like a nice looking rowboat with a small motor, and the time aboard was rather short.

I think renting a SeaDoo or Waverunner would be more fun.

Good to know! We will stick to Caye Caulker. Thanks!
