They will not put 4 in a room with out beds for 4. I am a little surprised that RCI does.
I think its just like a hotel with two double/queen beds. 2 beds = 4 person occupancy. The sofa bed is a double size.

That's not bad for what you get. I'm spending $800+ for a day trip to the Exumas and it's not private.
Yea we read mixed reviews on the speed boat to get out there and we dont have any desire to swim with pigs.

You may very well be pulled out of line to inspect the cooler. I would carry in the wine in the cooler, then divide it out individually once you go through check in. I like to cause the least amount of attention as possible when checking in and so far as long as there were no more than two bottles of wine in both my and my husband's backpacks, we were waved straight through. One time, though, my husband had odd shaped wine bottles in his backpack and sure enough he was pulled over for an inspection. Not the end of the world, of course, but those bottles were given the once over to make sure they contained the correct amount of wine in them.
Thanks. We may play it by ear. We have seven adults but also three small kids. So we will need backpacks and hands free for kid junk.

"Thanks. We were trying to figure out how best to pack and carry on the wine. We have 4 staterooms in our party and were hoping we could put all 8 bottles packaged together (considering a rolling soft sided cooler)."
Last summer we carried on 6 bottles (3 cabins). I carried four bottles together and all they did was ask how many cabins we had.
Great! Thank you! We are all hoping to board together so worst case we can literally hand out the wine for each stateroom to carry 2 through, but it seems easier to just pack it all together.

Island time charters seemed to be a bit cheaper for four hours but they had smaller boats. For our group with kids we wanted something bigger.
:D

Can I asked what your excursion with Born Free entails and what the cost is?
We have a half day package booked which is four hours. They said they will basically do whatever we want. We are hoping for an hour of snorkeling, an hour of fishing and an hour on a private beach. I think they can also try a cove to swim with turtles. The rate is about $850 for the four hours.

For our upcoming enchantment cruise, the beach beds were not an option until recently about 60 days from sailing. I had even called prior to that and RCCL said they didn’t see it as an option for our ship.

We are doing a 3 night on Enchantment and dont have any "sea days". Our first stop is Nassua from Noon-Midnight.
Trying to figure out Adventure Ocean hours. The way I read it is that they would be open 9am-Noon while we are still at sea and then all the way from noon-midnight while in port? Does that mean no after hour fees for that night?
-
That is odd. Keep checking. Also, have them push it up the line to someone who might know more.
It looks like the beach bed option finally showed up in our cruise planner! $157 for 4 adults. Now I have to decide if its worth it! I think for the tender tickets, drink service, etc it might be.

I think as long as you pace yourself, the 9 night could be great! Lots of time to get settled in your room, get familiar with the ship and the crew, etc. For a shorter cruise/vacation, we would push our kids (stroller naps, staying up late, lots of treats etc) but I think with a longer one you may have to establish a few more boundaries.

We are currently booked with Born Free, another one I read about was Chubasco. Island Time is another one but I'm not sure they do deep sea.
We weren't really looking for deep sea, but more with something that would be comfortable for a group of 10 privately.

Thanks! It sounds like you were at the port by 10 am and on board before 11/11:30? That sounds great! We are hoping to get to the port around 10 as well for check in, even though our passes say 10:30-11:30. I too am hoping to get the kids some food before going to explore but this was a good reminder they will probably be too excited to sit and eat!

I think we are booked in 8070 on Enchantment and it is just a balcony room, not a JS. Not sure if that makes any difference about the pole, but just FYI, the info above may not be the same for Enchantment.

Where exactly in the WJ? Are there other locations as well? What about smoothies or other blended fun drinks for kids?
-
Read the fine print, I thought some of those dolphin excursions only gave you access to the beach after the dolphin swim. Not a full day pass to the pool and slides?

Not sure if this counts but I was there in Jan. and I did have to use one. I've been fortunate to have gotten to the island 8 times now. And all the other times I've had to pay to rent one. But this year I didn't. They were FREE so I got to save the $10 I think :) Here is a video I made in Jan. The water was the roughest I've been in. It was rainy and the current was crazy strong. You can tell by the sea grass in my video. But if you want to see some really cool video's YouTube Coco Cay! Happy Sailing!!!!
Great video! Thanks! How far off shore where you? Just to confirm this is just off the beach right? Not through an excursion?

We walked to British Colonial Hilton which had a beautiful beach and pool. I think its like $75 but that includes a food and drink voucher for $40. Nice outdoor dining, chairs and you can see the ship from there. Go to Resort for a day dot com. You can also read the reviews on it also thru Trip advisor
What kind of food was offered?
-
Hilton is very nice and I think the main advantage is that it's an easy walk over to the hotel from the pier. There's some watersports, but I think the place is more about the beach, pool, and relaxing. And this was fine for my kids, who were 3 and 6 at the time - a wee bit younger than yours, I would say.
.
Do you know if the kayak/snorkel/paddle boards are free of charge with the day pass? I have heard at the Hilton the swimming area is not very large so I wouldn't want to spend money to rent these things but playing on them for free might be fun.

Fall transatlantic in 2013. 14-night Barcelona to Galveston in a D2 balcony for $620 per person. Came to $44 per night per person. And that was the last good deal for me on Royal!
That’s amazing!
For a regular round trip cruise, what’s considered a great price per person per night?

I posted here a link to a recent cruise compass for this sailing.

Will they charge extra fees upon arrival?
We are looking into pricing as well. For us, when we book a room for 4 adults, there is an extra $80 surcharge. The room rate is $315, but after taxes/fees/surcharge, its over $550 which is pretty expensive.

We are looking for similar suggestions. We have found Rose Island is pretty much out of the question unless we do a private charter. There are a couple of RCCL excursions that are just for the afternoon obviously but seem SO expensive if you are only off the ship for a few hours.
Booked 8 months out on LOS - My Family Time Dining already full?

We are on the waitlist as well. Our TA said it’s usually never an issue to get and if it’s not before sailing to talk to the host on ship.
