  1. I didn't keep our passages, and this is going by memory from our April TA on Voyager, but a typical sea day:

2-3 games, often with/against crew (Baggo, ladder golf, putting, etc)

    Various cards/tournaments (bridge, casino activities)

    Craft activities

Country Fair on one of the days

    Enrichment talks (I believe 2x a day)

I think they did some interactive Q&A with the entertainers

    Trivia

    Mensa quizzes

Ongoing scavenger hunt (this was kind of disappointing)

Usually some pre/post dinner lounge entertainment

    Yoga/fitness activities

PM shows starting at 20:30 iirc

Of course, most of those were also done on port days, just less of them.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff.

    One thing I will note,

We had a great time but if I did a TA cruise again I would go west bound, not east bound. Jumping the hour so often in close succession was wearing thin on me. I think westward, gaining an hour would be a far easier imho.

  2. Agree with ^^

I love all the specialty venues, but not going to lie, compass rose is probably my favourite all around.

Prime 7 is great and I do enjoy it but Mrs. Slidebite says I do better steaks at home. It's certainly not the chefs skill, but I think its the quality of beef.

The best beef I've ever had in a restaurant anywhere was in Chartreuse on Voyager a couple months ago. The tenderloin with seared foie gras and truffle was amazing.

  3. Oh I need to see this. Someone please post a link.

It looks like someone from Engineering/maintenance is even there.

Do we know where this happened?

Why the fight? Anything in the deleted video give any indication of the cause?

Going out on a limb here, probably something insanely stupid but well lubricated with alcohol.

  4. We were on Voyager a week after you guys. I think we fared far better on the weather front.

The agenda was OK, country fair as described (a little blustery, probably the 2nd worst day of the trip weather wise other than leaving Bermuda) but all in all, never bored but we're not big activity people. I could see how the country fair might not be everyone's cup of tea, but some of the activities were enjoyable. They need a better system for awarding prizes though, some ppl had literal hand fulls of tickets and no place to put them down in order (especially with the wind) which made the limited time to claim a prize a more stressful experience than it should have been.

  5. The one time I wish our cabin was on the port side was in Hamilton. The bars across the street keep going until the wee hours and you will still get the music in the cabin, especially if it is a Fri/Sat night.

Earplugs helped, so remember to bring them if you're a light sleeper lol

  6. It's going to depend on the port and where the excursion is. We've done ports with excursions that have almost non-existant bus rides, and others pretty much 2 hours each way. It's going to depend.

For example, if your port is Marseilles but you want to go to Avignon, you're going to have a fairly long bus ride, can't do much about that other than chose a different excursion. But, there will almost certainly be a choice of excursions closer than that... question is if they interest you.

Only advice I can give is read the excursion descriptions carefully and if it doesn't give a bus ride distance/length, google maps the distance between your port and the excursion destination. It may very well be longer than that as that's usually direct and buses like to do a couple stops, but it should give you an idea.

If your budget allows, you could always opt for a more personalized experience at many ports.

Voyager is scheduled for drydock December, 2025.

Nice to hear. The Regent rep could have totally been talking out of his behind when I spoke to him. She's in good shape, but a good update would be welcome.

Must say cabin is beautiful and the bathroom is much larger than lesser resort type ships. My wife was particularly impressed by the cabin. We are in Suite 750 mid ships. Minor vibrations but nothing significant. We have a bath and a shower and walk in wardrobe with plenty of storage. Room service breakfast with a view of Santorini is hard to beat!

You are right across from I was a couple weeks ago. That is a good spot and absolutely would book again.

We’re also on Voyager, our fourth Regent cruise but first on Voyager. Our shower pressure is a little weak but that’s the only negative thought I have about the ship or staff. I haven’t decided whether the shower is annoying enough for me to talk to the butler about it.

Our shower in our veranda cabin was fantastic. Really good pressure pressure and great hot water. Might be worth investigating a bit, although I suspect the room steward runs it each time they do the room so you'd *think* they'd notice if something was off, but perhaps not?

  9. I was just on 2 weeks ago. Cruise director was Andy Heath, his wife Tammy assisted as social hostess. I forget the name of the assistant, I believe Richard..? Didn't actually see him all that much. Nice guy though, significantly younger than Andy and his wife. He played piano as well.

  10. We had this happen a few weeks ago on Voyager in CR. It was literally zero problem. Accommodation was immediate. In fact, we could have gotten into Prime 7 but we would have needed to wait a couple days.

So, should be zero issue with CR barring something extraordinary, specialty restaurant may be possible depending on timelines.

  11. Got off Voyager just a couple weeks ago. She's in great shape with exceptionally attentive crew.

There is some vibration low and aft for sure (Horizon lounge?). But I've never stayed in an aft cabin so I cannot comment on that. I've stayed mid deck 7-8 and never had any issues at all or even been bothered by "vibration" when in the aft.

Would it bother me if my cabin were there? I don't know, but I am a very light sleeper so maybe?

I would not hesitate to book again on Voyager.

  12. I found the Compass Rose menu on our Voyager TA cruise to be generally quite good. There was almost always a change on the new daily menu that I liked. If not defaulted to an always available favourite for supper.

Now, when it was tex mex day at the pool grill, that was a day we had lunch in CR lol
