We paid with cash and yes US dollars.
-
Honestly I didn't see anyone playing aggressively no worries I don't think one ball went overboard!
-
Yes we rented also there too as well as snorkel beach.Like I said 40 to 45 dollars is the going rate.
-
We went 4 years ago just got back today its exactally the same I didn't see any changes.
-
All the beaches had them available going rate was 45 dollars for 2 chairs and an umbrella

Hi just back from the Escape. The ping pong table was in an enclosed area and no open windows. All is well the marine life can rest easy!
-
Hi what nites do they have the beach party? Thanks
-
Ok thanks!
-
Do you think it's better just to pay the fare and take the regular ferry instead of the complementary ncl one? I'd like to get there as early as possible to get a full day at the beach.
-
Hi when you took the first ferry out what time did you arrive in St George's
-
Good to know I thought I just saw the price which is a bit more than a few years ago. I'll have to go back and check. Thanks for the info.

Hi first time on Escape and first time on a ship this large. We are on deck 12 midship balcony port side. Which is the least crowded to disembark the ship while in port? I always find that a hassle but if I have a heads up that would be great! Thank you! Did I mention I love these forums ? Always find the best advice and sometimes entertaining! Lol

Going to Bermuda in 2 weeks and plan on buying the 3 day pass. I just have found it easier in the past to have it instead of dealing with the tokens. I do think if you broke it down it's probably a bit more. Depending on what your planning on doing. For us we are taking my daughter and her friend who are in their 20's and this way there's no worries they can go anywhere on the island by ferry and bus and not be confused with having exact change or tokens. For my husband and I we just like to have that part paid up front for. One less thing to deal with.

Agree with all. If your sailing NCL definitely get the Thermal Spa weekly pass! Its well worth the extra money. And the pool and sauna, heated loungers etc... in there are so warm especially since your weather outside will most likely be chilly and windy. You will love it. ( but it is adults only FYI)
Leaving in less than two weeks to Bermuda on the Escape and of course got the Thermal Spa pass for the week. Third time there and it is beautiful! For me it's the first time my husband and I will be sailing a mega ship. So it's gonna be a new experience for me too. Happy planning for your cruise!

Hi is the casino really that smoky? We are planning on going to the casino in the evenings and I'm a non smoker.
-
Yes looking forward to it as well. We loved the spa on the Gem going actually everyday! But first time ever going on a ship this large. The spa will be our quiet place.
-
Hi booked the spa already last month . Just wondering about co Ed as it wasn't on Gem. Hopefully it is?
-
Anyone been on both Gem and Eacape and did the spa?
-
Sailing June 3 I will report back and hopefully its a good report! Always hated chasing balls anyhow! lol
-
Oh no! Im so looking foward to playing. I thought the picture showed a closed in porch type room? Hope they fix that before I sail! Especially since I'm not the best player.H
I recently came back from sailing on Norwegian Escape. Ping Pong table is located on Dec 17 FWD starboard side. The location is not ideal as it has open windows making it prone to Ping pong ball getting fly away into the ocean while you are playing (Needless to say constant wind make it hard to even play). These plastic balls getting dumped into the ocean are a danger to marine life.I recently reached out to Norwegian Environmental Helpline, the reply I received is they are working on to close the windows in that area.
Someone who has been recently on the ship or is planning to be on it in next few weeks confirm if this is true?
Would appreciate your support to help keep our ocean clean.

Hi meant to thank all of you on this forum for posting responses. I am so grateful to have great advice before going away and it's always spot on!
Happy cruising to all of you🚢
-
Perfect thank you! I will take your advice. Looks like fun!

No snow room on Gem but I think I read somewhere that sauna/steam rooms are co Ed.
They weren't on the Gem and I wished they were since my husband and I wanted to sit in there together.

Hi been on the Gem a few times and always get the spa pass for the week. Is the spa pretty much the same but just bigger?
I wish I had realistic expectations when we went on Escape, I would have enjoyed it more. Embrace the differences. Don't expect a mega-ship like Harmony, expect more of a larger Carnival ship, if that makes sense. (Escape is practically same design, just a little bigger, as Carnival Dream class). If you enjoy dining and bars, they nail this. And yes, again, thermal suite was worth every penny and more, I would get a pass for that again without question - and I'm not a "spa" person at all.

Hi ! First I want to say thank you for all the great info and pictures! But one silly question if you can find out for me…. Where is Red Bubbles served on tap? I know it’s silly but love that drink! lol
