Posted January 20 on a thread about the Disney Dream
So noro was definitely on board. I've never heard of Disney noro on the news as much as you do Royal, Carnival, NCL. But with the number of folks in Medical plus the doctors reaction, it was in full force. I wonder what the number is. BTW, there was no charge for the medical service we received due to the diagnosis.
But Disney has only 4 ships. Carnival has about 25, RCCL 24 and NCL 14 (all just a guess) The law of averages.

We aren't loyal to Carnival, we cruise other lines also, but in Carnival's favor:
1 the pace on the ships seems to suit us better than the other lines we've been on
2 we haven't had a bad cruise on Carnival
3 Carnival tends to have the lowest available cost
Yeah, what he said!

But did you read the $1 million start up on this progranm. Do not think it is cost effective. I would wear it because I wear a medical alert braclet already but would every one wear one everyday of the week?
Not million but BILLION with a B. And closer to 2Billion. Because of this every new project at all 4 parks have been put on hold!

After this statement you then present your list of how others should live.

"Not enough lounge chairs" on the Eurodam reminds me of a recent review of an "extra charge MDR", not less.
If I see statements of this kind - what can I say?
Theoretically it's possible. Practically it's as probable as an earthquake or tsunami.
Holiday cruise?...
I only can say that statements like this put a dark shadow on the rest of the review.:(
What is this post trying to say, very confusing.

We are cruising Holland America for the first time this Feb. What are these tiles you speak of?

So, I feel confused as to why any of you have memories of a "Cruise Director". I did go to the evening shows on every cruise (that's actually the only reason I go on cruises besides free cooking).
But I don't recall any of the introducers memorable enough to give them a title of "cruise director". I feel like I am really missing out on a part of the cruise experience. Nobody I've ever talked to on-board has ever mentioned a cruise director.
???
This was how I felt until we ran into Richard Spacey. He was the first cruise director that we ever took notice of. He's the BEST

Now a days there are a pretty good selection of clothing optional charters on some very nice ships. We are no longer relagated to the 'B' fleet ships. You should try one, IT is optional!
-
Do you cruise with other cruise lines besides Carnival?
YES
-
Carnival now has Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. To my surprise it cost less than Bud Lite (which IS swill)!
-
I don't think so
Yes they do. I've seen replacement prop blades bolted down on the bow's deck on several ships.

First of all, you're upset with Steiner Leisure, not Carnival. They're an outside company who runs the spa (and about 75% of the cruise ship spa industry). You could have left at any time... You're not out any money and you didn't have pay to enter their drawing. Did you think they were giving away $500 out of the goodness of their heart? They're a business who where making new customers aware of what they offered. They were GIVING AWAY $50 credits every 10 minutes, which you won and were under no obligation to use, and yet you're upset that you weren't given something free and it's a scam???? It's called a promotion. There's a little known secret obout these cruise ships.... They're a business trying to make money. If you didn't like what you were seeing after 10 minutes, walk away. Nobody owes you anything and there certainly wasn't a "scam". I'm sure many of the winners were happy to apply a 25% discount off their $200 treatment. If you're not interested, walk away and enjoy your vacation.....
Thats a little harsh dont you think. And I never heard of Steiner Whats-his-face, I pay Carvinal.

I am happy with my cheap watch. I knew it was a knock off and a cheap knock off at that. But it looks good on my wrist when I'm dressed up.

I bought one on the Paradise last month, and got what I paid for. For $19.99 it's a good looking dress watch, but not a good watch, only looks that way.
Penn Station to Cruise Port Terminal

Take a cab, they are lined up waiting right outside Penn Sta.
If you elect to drive down, parking is on the roof of the pier, then take the elevator down to the ship. It will cost you but it could not be easier!
