Has this registration problem been resolved?

I am trying to sign up for a cruise in Jan 2016 on Silhouette. We are listed as booked on the Celebrity web site. The Connections sign up is saying "Cruise critic registration is not allowed for bookings in a status other than booked."

Is this the problem everyone is having, or is this an issue with having booked through a TA? Not sure who to contact with this issue.

Thank you both for your replies. I was not aware there is a free shuttle bus to town. That may be our best option. I had already contacted Metropolitan and gotten very high price quotes for their tours. The Machalilla park tour that others have taken in the past was quoted as being $378 per person. Their city tour was quoted as $146 per person. At those rates we are better off taking one of the ship's tours.

How readily available are taxi's? We would like to go to Montecristi to see the hat makers.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a private guide, or thoughts on what to do for our one day off the cruise ship in Manta. I have not found much info on prior posts.

Thanks for the great review and the wonderful pictures. We will be doing a Panama Canal cruise on Infinity in March. Your posts are making me very anxious to board the ship and get going. Thanks for the great posts. I was wondering where Tracy and Reg were sitting on the ship to watch the canal passage. It looks like a prime spot! Were the chairs there or did they move them to the spot from somewhere on deck? Keep the posts coming we are waiting to see the rest of the cruise.
