If they move Radiance to NOLA, they’ll just call it a repositioning, cancel previous bookings and offer no compensation. Been there, got the Tshirt.

They would be mad to not give us a replacement. Pretty much every cruise from the end of October to mid April were almost booked out

We have a couple of grand suites leading up to Christmas ,Tassie and cairns. If  we loose them ,we are not going to be happy.

I just went through all their ships and deployment and nothing seems to have a potential to replace Radiance.

Though Serenade seems to have a hole in it’s bookings.

We had a grand suite for the transpacific. None left on Ovation. There are some JS and they are so much more expensive than what we got the GS for. Also interesting to see that the Quantum transpacific also got taken down yesterday and is still missing.

I am on From early March to end of April 2023 from Sydney to Honolulu.   I sure hope it is not redeployed!

I have not received any cancellations....and sure don't hope to.

This is on an Australian Facebook page today, Royal Caribbean Australia Cruise Forum. The post from Sue Chris Williams is interesting. It is all hypothetical until they make an announcement I guess but there are going to be a lot of disappointed people given how heavily Radiance was booked here

On Thursday in cruise weekly, Gavin Smith only mention Ovation and Quantum coming to Australia during the 2022/23 season. There was no mention of Radiance in the article, which I felt strange if it was coming down for the season.

Yep but I still think they have to replace it with another ship then because all cruises were heavily booked on Radiance. Also on the news the other night after the announcement that the cruise ban had been lifted they were talking to someone senior at the cruise terminal in Sydney and he was talking about Quantum and Spectrum sailing out of Brisbane and Sydney. At the time I thought he had just made a mistake and meant to say Ovation but there is some talk that Spectrum may replace Radiance. That is all it is at this stage though, talk.

I have a couple of guarantee bookings and was checking the availability of cabins and yes heavily booked.

Maybe they will swap for a bigger ship? But what?
Maybe our government has set a cap on the percentage and it’s over sold?

I just saw a comment from someone that there are whispers that it will be Spectrum but who knows

Radiance seems to have disappeared from the booking sites. That’s RC and agents that have live booking.

It is still showing in Hawaii for the trans pacific though.

Radiance was pretty heavily booked so I don’t think the itinerary would be canceled.

We are on the transpacific and it is still on the cruise planner at this stage. Maybe the capacity has been reached for what Australia will allow in, fingers crossed anyway. Maybe a ship change? I had a little bit of panic yesterday when I saw it had disappeared.

  7. So yesterday afternoon (our time) I said I would be sneakily on my phone at work this morning. I watched the video and I cried, had to run to the bathroom. Everyone was asking what had happened and why was I upset. I explained nothing had happened to me but told them about this. They have all been on their phones reading through the whole thing and there were tears from them as well. 😍

I doubt serenade will be coming to OZ.

Nobody believes Australia will be having a 21-22 season .

If we have limited cruises there’s plenty of ships in our region.

Given we now have a travel bubble with NZ and hopefully soon one with Singapore then you never know. If they bring the ships here empty the crews will have done 2 weeks quarantine on the way and if they only let Aussies/Kiwis/Singaporeans on then the trip from Sydney to Singapore might be one that goes and hopefully other cruises to NZ may well happen, or even cruises around Australia.

There's a few reasons that I highly doubt you'll be going on that cruise. When cruises restart down under, I anticipate that it will be for Australian residents only, similar to the Quantum cruises out of Singapore, and stop at Australian ports only. Also, if the cruise you are on goes ahead, it would likely be on Radiance rather than Serenade, as Radiance is currently still in Asia after last years Australian season (and is due to return 2022-23), while Serenade is currently still in the Americas

I am kind of a bit the other way. We are also booked on this cruise to Singapore. My hope is that even if the ship changes, given we will have a travel bubble with Singapore soonish then it may well be one cruise that actually goes with Aussies/Kiwis/Singaporeans and anyone else in that bubble.

  10. We were in a GS for the transpacific from Honolulu to Sydney on Quantum in October 2021. They have changed that ship to finish in Brisbane and sail from there for the season instead of Sydney. All of us on the transpacific were given no option to change to the cruise finishing in Brisbane. It was too late to try and get a GS on Ovation because these had been on sale for a while and all these rooms were long gone. None of us that had planned trips on Quantum out of Sydney were given a choice, just straight out cancelled and none of us are happy about it.

There’s something going on with Sydney and the 2021-2022 season.
I’ve been told by people that their cruises have been canceled.

It seems the longer cruises are being broken up into shorter cruises??

Everything is getting turned upside down?

We were on the original transpacific on Quantum on 14 October in a GS. Our TA is working to keep us on that trip which is now to Brisbane. They have taken NZ out altogether and after Polynesia they go straight across to Brisbane. I just got an email cancelling all the cruise planner stuff I had purchased and the cruise is now off the planner. Can't get a GS on Ovation because they booked out ages ago for the trip to Sydney and I didn't really want to do this on Serenade. Both Ovation and Serenade only have 1 stop in NZ. The itineraries are rubbish so might have to give it a miss I think. The many thousands of us that have booked to go out of Sydney have all basically lost their cruises so Quantum can go to Brisbane and replace Radiance. It's just wrong what they are doing.

  12. We were on the transpacific from Honolulu next October on Quantum. Our TA messaged me yesterday giving me the options and was going to find out if we could be changed over to a shortened cruise that ends in Brisbane. Checked my cruise planner this morning and we are still on the trip that is now 15 days instead of 18. They have taken NZ out and added a stop in Brisbane but it still apparently ends in Sydney. Not sure if they kniw yet what is happening. There are some pretty upset people in Sydney at the moment.

I had my quantum April 2022 cancelled.  This is due to them moving quantum from Sydney to Brisbane.  It’s outrageous they won’t let us take the Brisbane to Honolulu cruise at the same price as we booked the Sydney to Honolulu cruise.  It’s the same month. Same time of year. And it’s their doing.  I sent Michael Bayley a message via messenger.  I don’t expect any satisfaction.

We were doing the transpacific from Honolulu in October next year so the same has happened to us. Can't change to Ovation because there are no rooms left in the category we booked. My TA is trying to get us moved across to the Quantum to Brisbane transpacific.

Hopefully they'd offer a switch to Quantum in a comparable cabin grade for same price plus some OBC.

Or you would depart from Sydney instead (assuming that's where she goes of course).

    Wish you good luck.

Yes, shortened to 15 nights allowing for a day lost at the date line.  NZ is a bit out of the way if you're sailing from French Polynesia to Brisbane, but it would be disappointing to miss those ports.   I guess they'll offer folks booked on Q TP a switch to Radiance, assuming she's going to Sydney.

Hope this doesn't happen, we booked this transpacific specifically for Quantum, not Radiance, so I will be cancelling if this happens.

If quantum does change to Brisbane I think it would be doing radiance itinerary to the islands.

I don’t know what ship would replace it in Sydney? The only ships I can think of is Radiance and Serenade.

We rolled over a couple of cruises from this season to Ovation luckily,it just suited us.

Next season is starting to be heavily booked, I don’t know what you can do?

May be call who you booked with but they will probably just tell you nonsense.

Like I said ,be flexible. Who knows.

So that would mean the transpacific is off from Honolulu to Sydney in October next year?
