Can anyone tell me if they have had a recent experience with a dolphin swim excursion at either Blue Lagoon or Balmoral Island in Nassau and if so, how was it?  In addition, is it better to purchase before the cruise or is it better to wait until you are on the ship and a possible discount is offer on shore excursions??  We are sailing on Carnival so any info about prepurchasing an excursion or waiting until on the ship for a possible discount would be greatly appreciated.

  2. I went on Carnival, clicked plan a trip and entered my VIFP number. The exclusive offer I received displayed with other general offers.  I selected our cabins and went to complete bookings.  It was at that time it asked for my email and it would not allow me to book or place a hold since our Email registered with Carnival was tied to a cable provider whom we had  switched with last year and the email was inactive.  As a result, I could not log in to change or even place a temporary hold because the email tied to my account and offer was no longer in use.  It was 10:30 at night and Carnival was closed. After talking to someone at Carnival the next am I was told that the offer was a 48 hour offer which expired the night I saw it even though it said good for bookings before 3/31. I was so bummed.  I continued to check even morning and nothing until Monday am when low and behold the same exclusive offer reappeared.  We booked with our PVP.  She told me that the same offer and code had reappeared for another 48 hours.  My advice is to make sure you can log into Carnival and your profile info is updated in case things have changed since the last time you cruised.  Start looking for offers every day.  Not sure why they come and go but they seem to populate more during the week.   Hope this helps somebody.  Thanks everyone!

  3. Sent my request for an OBC for owning 100 shares of Carnival stock in today.  I was reading an article and it said Carnival recently has been denying OBC stock requests for cruises that have been booked with a VIFP offer, senior discount, etc.

     

    Has anyone recently been denied an OBC for having a cruise booked with these offers?  Hate to get my hopes up when chances are slim it might not come through.  Thanks!

    We are set to sail the end of May, so I would greatly appreciate a report when you return home. Also, can you let me know how disembarkation at Nassau and other port goes?  Not sure if you have to stay in room until zone is called or if you line up to get off the ship when in port?  Thanks so much and hope you have a great cruise!!

I have read and tried to watch several videos but hoping someone can clarify exactly how the shuttle works at the Charleston port.  We will be sailing.on the Carnival Sunshine.  While we do leave our suitcases with porters, we will still have our rolling carry on suitcases with us.  Are suitcases allowed on the shuttle that you take to the ship or do you have to walk if you have luggage?  In addition, in previous cruises, we keep all of our luggage with us and carry it off when we disembark so we can go right to our car since we have a 10 hour drive.  Will we be able to board the shuttle coming off the cruise with all our luggage or is this not allowed?  Thank you so much in advance for sharing your experiences.

Our family has cruised with Carnival 6 years in a row prior to pandemic.  We are thinking of cruising again in May.  On Thursday, I had an exclusive VIFP offer associated with my number only.  I was going to make a booking when I realized the email associated with my Carnival account was no longer active (we had switched cable providers last year).  It was after 10 pm so I had to wait until the next day to call Carnival.  They were able to correct and update my email.  I went in to make our booking and while there are other offers, my exclusive offer does not appear.  I had a screen shot of it and it said as long as I booked before 3/31/22?  I called Carnival and the individual said she is no longer seeing it and maybe I used it??  I told her that was impossible because I was unable sign in or even place a hold on the booking because I could not log in.  I think we missed the boat before we even got on, with this offer..... Anyone else ever had this happen and is it fixable? 😞

  7. Just throwing this out there. Booked our cruise back in Jan. before virus was in the news.  Due to 4 conflicting university and work schedules  the timeframe of the current Carnival FCC does not work for is.  Rather than Carnival issuing partial refunds to credit cards if applicable with balance on a FCC,   why would they not offer a certicate for the exact cruise itinerary that you have booked to be used on a different time?  what i really would like is a certificate for an exact or similar 7 day cruise that i have booked to be used at a future time in 2020 to december 2021 that would work for us without having to pay additional dollars than what we have already paid.  carnival would not have to lose money in cash refunds and could keep carnival customers in bookings rather than full cancellations
