  1. Good morning,

I’m just wondering what the * refer to in your list. Thanks!

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Ah sorry, my shorthand (as I said I was headed to work and just trying to get the basics LOL). Those were the ones that o thought were the best bets when using reviews and referring to the layout of the deck (I wanted to be reasonably close to elevators but not at major doors. I thought we were better to take our chances with people on the top deck above 17 than kids in the pool on 16 (since there were almost not comments on the upper deck being an issue).

  2. Hi! I am in a rush and didn’t get to read all the responses, but I did research this ship to death in terms of Haven rooms (on floor 17) and will be glad to share with you. This analysis is based on all the reviews I could find!

    We choose 17018 I believe...

    17010 sound proof

    17012

    *17014x2 quiet x2

*17015x2 noise above in den? Get other side!!?

    17017x3. Early foot steps?

    17020

*17021 x2 Easy access to concierge

    17022 quiet

    17023

17024 x1 but across from crew access door!xx

    17025

    17027x2 over head noise?

17028 1 and ?noise from posh

    17029

    17031

  3. We will visit late Jan 2019 and wondered -

    1. Is there decent snorkeling?

    2. The price of the kayak rentals (I can’t find anything on this for this island or Harveat Caye)?

    3. Is the water temp reasonable in Jan? I’ve seen figures that suggest it is only abt 79 which is only 1 degree over what usually is shown as safe for swimming (Red Cross, etc). Hate to wear a wet suit!

  4. I enjoyed your review - we just completed a cruise in a Haven 2 br villa and have already booked another. It had been years since we had cruised (various reasons - grad school, early widowhood, 90 yo mother with cancer). But with a little more time, and despite long work hours, we have a bit more time for travel (in a variety of places and ways, not just cruising).

That said, I am honestly stunned by the pure narcissism and shameless snobiness that I have seen in some of the responses to your review. We traveled in the Haven because we wanted 2 bedrooms, we could afford it, and we liked the benefits - however, we never convinced ourselves that we were there because we were somehow superior to everyone else. And the idea of the decor of cruise ships as garish... it absolutely is. The decor of most ships have always been just this side of hideous. But losing lunch over the carpets of the “lesser” cruise lines?? Egads people, do you hear yourselves?

My parents were educational administrators, my father ending his career as a college President. We cruised when I was quite young, before cruising had even entered to consciousness of 99.9% of the population. And, we had a more comfortable income that the vast majority of people we knew. But I was taught that I was no better than anyone and that attitude was modeled for me daily by both of my parents. I am today once again so very thankful for that upbringing and those parents.

  5. I've been looking for something too. We're booked on an 11-day cruise in November and would love to see something to plan around. So far I haven't found much.

Just glad to know that I'm not the only super early planner! In college and grad school I would start a paper as early as I could nail the professor down to what was required - then at the end I coasted. I still do that. Glad to know that I have company :-)

  6. havanadaydreaming - That would be great if you would. It may sound insane, but I'm a get it done early kind of girl - that way, it's a down hill slide for me (rather stress before than during kind of thing).

We try to use sea days also, but on this cruise there are many more specialty dinners and shows than sea days on this cruise (and one sea day is the night before disembarkment and we try to hang loose that evening whenever possible). We also LOVE the photo nights (best portraits ever we have had made there) so I don't want that to be a day I have to entirely redo myself LOL

Thanks so much and enjoy the cruise!!!!

  7. Try doing a search in the threads for Epic Dailies. That should give you and idea. I'm not sure where the Epic is now, but it should give you an idea.

Perfect, Thanks... I will check that. There is so much random info on the net I assumed this randomness should be included! I tell my husband and sister that I am “the adult” on these cruises.... how the (%&$%* did that happen?!

  8. Hi 2 Breeze,

If you have booked the cruise you should have received a guest confirmation via email. The second page details what times you will be in each port. Hope that's what you're looking for.

    Have a great trip.

    Gym2

Hi gym :) It is more the daily schedule (formal or not nights, which show is in the theater on which days, etc) that I need. I wouldn’t think there would be a lot of changes from the current schedule and some idea now would help since I am the one trying to organize “my bunch”

  9. Can someone lead me to a schedule for the cruise below (we sell in Jan. 2019, but I try to plan ahead!). Thanks! :D

10 day western Caribbean cruise from Orlando r/t.

    Orlando & Beaches (Port Canaveral)

    Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas

    Ocho Rios, Jamaica

    George Town, Grand Cayman

    Harvest Caye, Belize

    Costa Maya, Mexico

    Cozumel, Mexico

    Orlando & Beaches (Port Canaveral)

  10. Does anyone know where to get a list of the amenities that Haven cabins have.

We want to see a detailed list if there is such a thing for the Getaway we are booked on.

    For example

I was looking for binoculars and couldn't find that NCL provides them.

    thanks

we were in a two bedroom two bath Haven on the Jewel - no binoculars (our butler, such as he was, acted as if only 2 3-bedrooms had those (??), but there were an amazing number of outlets and the bar area was filled daily w/ coffee, espresso. and tea - they brought candy and other munchies and stocked the frig with juices we requested. Bottle of champagne and fresh beautiful flowers (constantly refreshed). Overall we loved it!
