Thank you Glenndale for a copy of Saga Cruises 2022. Much appreciated

Thanks for the correction, lucky most of my cruises this year and next year included a drinks package. I have not done a Saga cruise before so I will be interested to see how it compares with other cruise companies.

The two new ships Spirit of Discovery and Spirit of Adventure are both going to be all inclusive. We are booked on the Spirit of Adventure ... Canary Island Christmas cruise sailing 20 December 2020

I have a cruise on the Explorer of the Seas in May, which included the drinks package. RC are currently promoting up to 20% off the price of their package which today costs £45.82 (with the discount)

Thanks for explaining. I have several future cruises booked 2019 & 2020, I have not booked the parking for those cruises yet. So I will wait and see what happens in three weeks. Must admit I feel quite anxious as our boarding time is 2:30.

Unfortunately I have already booked with CPS for our cruise in a few weeks time. I am concerned to read that you had to queue in a "holding" place. Why was this? I normally cruise with Celebrity or RC and normally book parking with ABP, and have never had a problem.

As a matter of interest the 2020 Jan 3rd cruise on Ventura is still showing on their website, that the ports you will visit include on the 19 January the Panama Canal Half Transit. Once again P&O show incompetence with their communication.

According to cruise mapper looks as though still heading to Funchal

I would not normally book so far ahead for a cruise but because wewanted to sail to Canada we booked on the 20 September on the Aurora. Cruise Number R017 in a Deluxe Balcony sailing on the 18 September2020. I have no idea whether we received the past guest discount of10%. As the cost for the two of us was over £8500 a 5% “error”would make quite a difference.

It would be beneficial for P&O to allow you to book the package before you travel. That way they will have your money earlier, thus earning more interest, it's unlikely you would be able to pre-pay with your OBC (Similar to pre booked excursions) Other cruise companies such as Celebrity and RC allow you to pre-book items using your OBC.

WOW! vizzog that's what I call a comprehensive and excellent reply. I am off to the Caribbean over Christmas and New Year sailing on the Arcadia. So thanks for your views on the islands

I would like to thank you all for sharing your experiences and expressing your views. I look forward to experiencing the 28 day cruise and will revisit this thread with my thoughts in the new year.

I have previously done a Christmas cruise on Celebrity flying to Miami for a 14 day Caribbean cruise. I have booked the Christmas and New Year cruise on the P&O Arcadia sailing from Southampton to the Caribbean.
I would be interested if anyone has done a similar cruise lasting 28 days. In particular with the large number of days at sea will I be bored, amount of clothes to take and how to avoid over indulging on food or drink?
Spirit of Adventure delayed again?

Following the communication I received yesterday
I rang Saga to take advantage of discounts and to re-book another cruise.
At lunchtime yesterday I rang and spoke to a pleasant lady Jade I advised her I wanted to switch the booking to another cruise, sailing in June 2022. I gave her the details of the cruise and cabin number, which I checked was still available
Having failed to put me through to a “cruise specialist”, which was understandable, she advised me that I would receive a call back between 5 and 6pm to book the cruise. She also advised me I was number 10 on the call back list.
At 6:15 last night I received a call from Paul who said it was a courtesy call and they would contact me in “due-course” to discuss my options. I advised him that I was led to believe that I would be able to book the cruise today. He advised that I should not have rang originally because people are being contacted in turn. Even though the letter signed by Chris Simmonds advised people to ring to rebook. I found Paul was particularly unhelpful and would not let me speak. Although I appreciate these are difficult times.
In view of the poor customer service I will opt for the refund when they do decide to ring
