I originally booked the same type of room as you and went to buy the Classic drink packages and realized that for about the same amount of $ spent, I could move up to Aqua and get the drink packages,Blu, and spa included.  I thought it was a good move. Blu was well worth the upgrade!

I thought the same thing! I thought it had to be some type of error on the website so I called but for some reason the aqua class dropped in price a lot so I ended up saving money and switching to the better room. I got the all-inclusive package too so we got the basic Wi-Fi classic drink package plus Blu now w/A1. We didn't get any spa services included beside the Persian garden but I think there might be some discounts, not sure. I keep hoping they won't call me and say oops sorry we were wrong. 😂

I called celebrity and the representative said that the speakers tend to be closer to the movie screen so if you choose the rooms that are further back like 1120 through 1130 and around there, he said that's about the best place you can be on that deck for noise in regard to the movies. He said they typically play movies from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. or so nightly.

  3. Ok, thanks, @r2h2. Were you still able to hear the waves while sitting out on your balcony? I don't mind some noise, I'm sure we'll hear noise anyway if others are out on their balconies.

Did you like 1122 overall and did you feel it was worth it? We're thinking of moving up to 1122 so it's not pretty much right at the end of the ship.

Did play movies in the evenings? I just like sitting on the balcony in the evenings to hear the ocean and read. Just concerned that movie noise would be an issue if they do it nightly.

  4. I've heard positive and negative things so far with noise issues from the movie theater that sits on deck 12 regarding noise that disturbs people while on their balconies in the Aqua Class staterooms on deck 11.

We just switched to room 1128 because it was a better price than our previous room for a 2024 sailing on Mille. Now I'm concerned seeing some of the reviews of the Sunset 11 deck.

Can anyone give me recent experiences? Is the movie area so loud you can't hear your travel partner talk while out on the balcony? Did I mess up? There were only a few rooms left for Aqua Class so I picked the one I thought was okay and the Celebrity rep didn't say it was a noisy location or anything.

    Thanks!

Koichi (Koichi Wasa) from Toursbylocals. com.
Just note that you should be able to walk swiftly and manage many steps for the tours. 🙂

I am looking at the different tours that Koichi W. offers on the toursbylocals. Do you mind sharing what your tour(s) were called? There are so many to choose from and we've never been to Kyoto/Osaka.

Thanks again for such a great report! We're going in August 2024 and am using your trip as a guide. 🙂

That is one of the disappointing things about Celebrity - menu does not reflect local cuisinces / cultures.   Our current plan is to have all our lunches ashore so we can enjoy as much Japanese food as possible.  Unfortunately, as much as we would love to bring bento's back on the shiip to enjoy, we know they will not let us bring food aboard.

This will be our first cruise were I do not anticipate us eating at Sushi on 5.

I agree, a bit disappointing. But I think we'll do the same and get as many snacks and lunches we can while ashore.

And thanks for the quick reply, @Miaminice! 🙂

  7. No problem.

Yes, someone that cannot swim would be fine. I didn't do any zip lining but from what I remember there are two zip line areas and you can do the one with water or the one without that's just in the trees. The cave exploration would be fine if you can't swim since that is just a lot of walking to get to and the underground lake is just beautiful to see up close and they have benches where you can sit and watch your group swim instead if you cannot or don't want to get into the water.

  8. Yes, we ended up doing this excursion and I'd have to say it is THE BEST excursion I've ever done. When we got there we found out that you can actually do as many activities as you'd like and as time allows, plus you get your own personal tour guide that you can use to go with a group of other Celebrity excursion guests that take you all the way to each activity so you can squeeze them all in one visit if you'd like. You don't need to use the tour guide if you don't want, but it is recommended since the place is about 10,000 acres and you could spend a lot of time trying to find what you want to do on your own.

We did the cave exploration (which is quite a long hike up some hills), underground lake, and waterfall, plus beach break. I think the underwater lake was the best since there was an area where you can jump from about 20 feet (guessing here) into the crystal clear water. The water was a bit cold but it was so stunning to be able to swim in such a natural wonder that we didn't notice.

If you had to choose one activity at Punta Cana I would suggest this one, hands down. I even told my husband that I'd like to go back just on a direct flight to the Dominican Republic and spend a full day or two at the park (Scape Adventure Park).

  9. Has anyone here gone on the Adventure Park with Beach Escape excursion from Celebrity at the Punta Cana port?

I'm going on the Celebrity Equinox in November and this is the only excursion that really caught my eye since you can choose two activities from a cave exploration, zip lining, waterfall tour, and underground lake swimming along with a beach break at the end.

I've never been on Celebrity and want to make sure it is worth nearly $200 a person for this excursion.

    Thanks

  10. No the Classic package doesn’t cover all no -alcoholic drinks. Sparkling water, Premium water, vitamin water, energy drinks and cans of soda (classic cover fountain soda).

Take a look at what is covered in the Premium Non-alcohol package as they may be a option. If you think that would work better for you when you are in the ship head to Guest Relations and explain you don’t drink alcohol and ask if they will change your package to tge PremiumNon-alcohol. Do this BEFORE you use the package. Some have had success in getting the package changed but others haven’t.

Thanks! I didn't think about that.

  11. I did a search but I'm not finding quite what I'm looking for regarding the classic beverage package.

We are going on the Equinox in Nov. 2018 and got the classic package as a free perk.

I've never been on Celebrity before. I know on Carnival they had a daily special on a mixed drink which was cheaper than normal. Does Celebrity have anything like that and if so, would they be included in the package as long as they don't exceed $9?

One of my favorite drinks is a virgin pina colada with strawberry puree. I'm assuming you can request one of these at any time right? Or is there a set menu you have to order off of for it to be covered?

I saw someone's picture of the SLUSH bar on Equinox. As long as I order the slushes as non-alcoholic they are covered w/ this classic plan, right?

Actually, I read somewhere that the classic package covers all drinks, frozen or mixed that are non-alcoholic. Is that true? I don't drink and neither does my husband so that would be awesome.

    Thanks!
