is their any way around requiring all 3 of us to purchase premium plus package?

    maybe a phone call?

    thanks in advance friends…

Last time we were on bottled water included on Premium Plus was Aqua Panna and San Pellegrino, plus Vitamin Water (or something like it) and Biosteel Sports Drinks.

Ok that’s good to know. I can’t stand those plastic bottles of water. they taste “milky”

    • Haha 1
  3. I’m set to sail on the escape this coming weekend and I have a few questions about the drink package.

I’m considering spending the extra money for the premium plus package and with this package I know that water bootlegs is included.

What bottles of water do they serve and please don’t tell me it’s the ones in the plastic container that taste gross.

Also, is there a price limit of drink that the premium plus includes?

basically if I wanted Hennessy XO how much extra would I have to pay?

On a sold out spring break cruise next week, what’s the chances of a Haven cabin canceling. I know no one can actually answer this but just entertaining wishful thoughts.

Anything is possible, but I doubt someone would cancel this close, unless it was same day because of a missed flight (which happens quite a bit)

if this happens, obviously, you wouldn’t be able to book it online you would have to rely on the bid system, so push that last minute bid up high and you may get lucky.

I'm on the escape this coming Saturday so if that’s the cruise your on, hope to see you in the Haven with us 😉

So we drank 14 bottles of Aqua Panna. Bottle of Veuve every night with dinner.

Every high end spirit I could get. No Blue on the Escape that I could find. Not in the Haven this time though.

Funny Hennessy XO was $50 per. A double with tip would have been $120.00. CRAZY!

Macallan, Whistle Pig, Blantons were all flowing at some bars.

    Best rum drinks ever!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got our moneys worth for sure. Could we have done without? YES! Regrets? NO!

OH with room service charges now we made 2 trips a day to Starbucks. I don't visit them at home, but on the ship for FREE!

So was the XO included too? Going next week on escape and I’m a cognac drinker.

If you upgrade to Free at Sea Plus, everyone in your stateroom must also upgrade.

If it's any consolation, you will also get additional specialty dining credits (2) and additional 50-dollars off per excursion. This means that both of you, not just one person, gets 50 dollars off per excursion per port.

The Plus beverage package also includes items such as bottled water (not available with the regular beverage package) and Starbucks Coffee drinks. Not sure if your wife is a coffee or tea drinker, but the bottled water will surely come in handy when walking about under a hot sun or lounging by the pool 🙂

What if there is a 3rd adult in the room, are they required to buy it as well?

  7. New to Oceania so forgive me if what I’m reading is wrong.

are you saying that inside horizons (in a small section) there is an indoor smoking area?

is that area cordoned off or does all of horizons more or less smell like smoke?

how is the ventilation in that area?

and is cigar smoking allowed in that area as well?

horizons is an observation lounge from what I see correct?

Do these bids sound good to anyone? Our cruise leaves in 33 days so we're getting close to our holiday cruise, 12/23-12/30, in a family balcony on the Prima, and I'm wondering if there's any chance of getting an upgrade. There are three of us and it shows that EVERY category is currently sold out for three people. I've actually bid QUITE a bit on a Haven or suite upgrade. The minimums were outrageous, but I did it because the rack price offered was even more outrageous (about $16,000 for the three of us) and I know we'd have a wonderful time in a Haven or a suite. I know all of these will be doubled, and I based my bids on what I want the most. I've bid $1,850 on a Haven Aft-Facing Owner's Suite with Master Bedroom & Large Balcony (H4) (minimum was $1,700), $1,850 on a Haven Owner's Suite with Large Balcony (Minimum was $1,500), $1,850 on a Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa With Large Balcony (Minimum was $1,180), $1,760 on a Haven Aft-Facing Penthouse with Master Bedroom and Large Balcony (Minimum was $1,280), $1,400 on a Haven Penthouse with Balcony (Minimum was $1,120).  For non-Haven, I bid $1,255 on a Family Suite with Master Bedroom and Balcony (Minimum was $800), $1,120 on a Forward Facing Suite with Master Bedroom and Large Balcony (Minimum was $815), $1,255 on a Family Suite with Large Balcony (Minimum was $775), and $1,000 on an Aft-Facing Suite with Large Balcony (Minimum was $900). I did NOT bid on a Club Balcony Suite.

I would love to experience Haven, but a Suite would be super nice, too. We are currently happy with our family balcony on deck 10, so I don't want to end up in a bad location, so these all sound magnificent and we would be happy with any of them. We paid about $6,000 for our cruise to start, so we'd still be under $10,000 total for our cruise, which would still be a wonderful deal. None of these room types, other than the Haven, were showing up as available when I booked 89 days out, so I don't know what the original prices would have been on the suites, but I'm guessing quite high since it's a holiday cruise and, as I mentioned, even the Haven cheapest Penthouse suite was $16,000 for three of us!

Thanks for that intel. I had some bids out on this cruise that were similar. I just bud quite higher. 😜

Here is what has happened to us in the past with FCC''s when we had bookings of 3 ppl.

    1. The FCC's were issued to each of the passengers based upon the cost breakdown at time of booking.  In our case, passenger's 1 and 2 received equal FCC's and passanger 3 had a small FCC since we booked a haven where the 3rd person was only billed $500 (or something like that).

    2. When we booked a new cruise we were able to apply multiple FCC's to pay.  You may need to do this in several online steps or an agent should be able to help you.  As long as the FCC is in the name of one of the new passengers.

    3.  In our case we did re-book a lower cost cruise and we used a portion of an FCC, the left-over was issued as a new FCC (which we then applied to yet another cruise)

    Hope that helps

    Very helpful! Thank you!

  10. I canceled a cruise for 4 people due to Covid.

    1. Only the first 2 people on the booking get an equal portion of the FCC correct?

    2. when I book a new cruise can I only use 1 of the 2 passenger certificates or do I need to use both?

    3. If the certificate is more than the new cruise booking, do they issue a new certificate or add OBC to the booking?

    Thank You!

So i did not, i was planning on leaving tomorrow morning. But the minute i got the email i searched to book another cruise leaving Saturday out of Miami....I booked the Symphony of the seas leaving Saturday the 1st. I usually only sail NCL but did not want to sail the Sun or the Sky..., First time on a megaship and we shall see....When life gives you lemons, make lemonade...

I was stating in the haven too and did the exact same thing you did. Searched all options. Symphony was best. 8 days southern Caribbean.

I’ve been on her before. I feel you don’t need a suite on oasis class, it’s a ship to explore. Got the dining package and drink package so a good time will be had by all!
