  1. My wife and I both smoke, drink and gamble,we were on Navigator this year and we were both enjoy playing slots in the casino .One night we were both very drunk,we had been sharing her drinks package,we were on WOLF RUN,my wife's fav machine in the smoking section,my wife lit her pipe and some woman complained about the smell,so she put it out and had a cigar instead,3 hours later and 10 rum and cokes we cashed our $1.50 out and went back to our cabin.

We had a inside virtual balcony,I opened a bottle of brandy what i smuggled on board and had a nightcap,I lit a cig,had a smoke and flicked it overboard only to bounce off the screen and land on the bed and burn a hole hole in the sheets. We were fined $250 ,luckily we had prepaid our grats,so it came out of that.Oh we complained about soot on our balcony for 3 days and they gave us 25% off our next cruise and a free meal in chops:)

Hilarious! So what was in the wife's pipe???

  2. You could try an eyebrow gel in a light brown color. It looks like mascara and goes on like mascara, with a brush. But I've found that even the lightest color is too dark.

Wouldn't hurt to stop in a Macys or Nordstrom and check the Lancôme counter and ask to try one. If you like how it works, you can find cheaper versions in the drug store makeup aisle. There's really not much difference between the expensive version and the cheap version.

Personally I use the clear eyebrow gel for my wild and curly eyebrows, but that's a different story. ;)

  3. We are leaving the house today for a pre-flight hotel near LAX. Tomorrow we fly to NYC where we will spend a couple of days being tourists before boarding the Carnival Vista for an 11-day repositioning cruise. I had decided that I was going to pack LIGHT for the first time, keeping it around 20 pounds. Hah! I'm still over 30, but that's probably lighter than the last cruise we took. :)

I consider 30 lbs to still be light, lol. Hope you're having a nice time!

  4. Good morning....I am going on a weekend cruise with a group of friends

that I have met through Cruise Critic:)....we are sailing from Pt Canaveral on Friday. We have a group of about 15 and it only takes me 2 hours to

drive to the port for this one:)

And I know we don't discuss politics on here, but just a reminder....everyone

needs to vote tomorrow......(unless you have voted early already).

Lois, hope you had a nice cruise! Fun to go with a group. WA State is mail-in ballots only so voting was easy. I had to go on a business trip from Seattle to Charlotte Nov. 6-8, getting home on election day. Oy.

    Hope you're doing well!

  5. I wish I had some clear straps on today! I'm wearing the top in the attachment to work today with my black bra - my straps are clearly visible. I'm just hoping everybody thinks they're part of the top or that they just blend in.

Sorry, the attachment just takes you to all the tops. Anyway, it has a lacy mesh bodice that goes from shoulder to shoulder.

  6. LOVED Erin's gold shimmery dress! Loved the neckline on her, really highlighted her strong arms and shoulders. And the color went very well with her hair.

Really liked J's green halter dress and liked C's gold lame' dress but not the neckline.

The dancing was amazing! I think now that Marilu is gone, Terra may be next, although it seems Jana doesn't get the votes. It'll be interesting. For once, there is no clear favorite. More fun this way.

  7. Here is my choice. Think I'm going with the navy pullover. It goes with everything I'm taking and I'm trying to pack a little lighter this trip.

Looks great! I didn't think Navy blue would go with turquoise but it does!

I know what you mean about navy being your black. I wear a lot of navy or black myself.

Enjoy and good luck with the light packing. Always a struggle for me, lol.

  8. Sea Days - Transatlantics rock (probably TPs too!). Only problem is we've always done EB and thy end with port-port-port-port.... and we are exhausted when we cruise ends. WB risks fall weather issues but would be more relaxing ending with sea days. Our So. Caribbean was nice because after several ports the last whole day was a sea day.

Hey, we'll be moving to Sequim in 2018!

  9. I liked Erin's shimmery black fitted dress - she wore her hair long so she could wear the bunny ears, lol.

C's black dress was really pretty and her hair was fun for Halloween. No way should she ever wear it like that in real life though .

J's dress was just another sundress that she likes to wear; looked fine.

The dancing was fun; I like the Halloween shows. Too bad about Sharma being injured though. But James is a trooper and Jenna did well as Sharma's replacement.

Ok, Ryan gone; let's hope Marilu is next!

  10. The facial wipes are amazing for traveling - I use them when we go camping (glamping) in the RV to clean my face in the mornings.

I just discovered a new amazing makeup remover (I only wear eye makeup): Estee Lauder Take It Away Lotion. They gave me a sample in a tiny little jar and it worked so well that I bought the big blue bottle of the lotion.

I'm going on a 3-day, 2-night business trip next week so will fill up that little tiny jar they gave me and take with.

  11. Just watched last night's show. Didn't care for Erin's dress, her hair was ok. Loved J's black top, saw that strange gold skirt when it showed the judges standing up. Didn't care for J's eye makeup either (again). C's dress was ok.

I too preferred the Past dance. And ok with Maureen going home. Surprised that Ryan is still around.

Laurie seems to have gotten a little worse as the weeks go by, instead of improving. Still love her though. James, Calvin and Jana are among the best.

  12. Good morning:).......back to work today....I would be happy to answer

any questions but I am not writing a review.

Ship is a nice size (smaller)......we don't really like the "MEGA SHIPS"....

I went on this cruise with my sister......not used to sailing with anyone

else but we got along pretty well during the week. (you probably know

    I usually sail solo).

The weather was sunny the first day in Portland but went downhill after

    that:eek:

We sailed on Royal Caribbean's Serenade of The Seas.

Lois, glad you had a nice time on my favorite ship! Sorry the weather didn't cooperate for you but hope you got to see everything you wanted to. Welcome back and take care!

  13. And don't forget that you also have to walk through a metal detector every single time you get on the ship. If it beeps, you have to check your pockets and do it again until it doesn't beep..

Unfortunately, those of us with artificial joints (i.e. both knees) automatically cause the beep. Then you have to assume the position and get wanded - every...single...time.

Hence, why I no longer fly or cruise :D.

  14. Happy that all the Floridians on here made it safely through the hurricane. I feel sorry for all the Matthews out there as their name is now attached to a horrible deadly storm. I empathize - ever heard of Super Storm Sandy? Uh-huh.

Lois, take care and here's hoping your PF is gone now and your meds are working well. I know it was shocking at first but now it's your new life, something to get used to. Stay strong! :o
