  1. It depends on what part of the country you are from. Most people who take this cruise seem to be from the NE. I'm from the South and froze my you know what off half of the days - and could no way tolerate the water in Nassau!

This is a cruise for those who like spending time on the ship - not necessarily in port. It is a beautiful ship with great service. However, if you like seeing the sights, you need another itinerary.

  2. 3 weeks prior to our April 11 - April 18 cruise we upgraded to Aft cabin. We were in room 8220 take my word, stay away from any of these Aft cabins. We expereinced 7 nights of the floors heavily vibrating, the walls, the doors and the pictures on the walls rumbling, my girls called it a earthquake that never stopped when at sea. It was a total nightmare and believe me i'm not exagerating. There were four of us in this room and my girls are heavy sleepers and they weren't able to sleep through this. The ship is beautiful, the food and entertainment is great, but I will never book an Aft cabin again. We spoke to cruisers that had Aft cabins on deck 10 and they had the same complaints.

Have you had afts on other cruise ships and if so was this one that much worse?

  3. Here is a photo of an aft balcany from the Orchestra. 8193

Thank you. We are thinking of booking in March of 10 as well. It's so hard to decide because the reviews of this line are all over the place!

Did your balcony open to the ones on either side?

  4. I didn't read the entire thread, just the first and last pages, but if this hasn't been posted already, here is what Carnival issued for the Fun Sunday recently. We made it and it was PERFECT! Use 12 ramikens.

1 pound dark chocolate (I used chocolate chips)

    1 pound butter

    10 eggs

    10 ounces sugar

    6 ounces flour

Melt the chocolate and butter. Mix the eggs with the sugar and whisk for a few minutes; add the flour. Combine the egg mixture with the melted chocolate and mix. Then pour into individual greased molds. Bake directly in the oven at 400 degrees for 14 minutes.

Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar and garnish with fresh fruit. Serve warm with ice cream.

Note: Please make sure the eggs are at room temperature and the chocolate is warm enough while making the mixture.

P.S. We tried cupcake tins the first time and while the end result was good, not nearly like it was in the actual ramiken. In the ramiken, it was no different than what you get on the ship!
