Thanks and after that experience, would you cruise again at this time?
Or, as long as you are not considered vulberable, could you have put up with not being well, but just gone about the ship normally without any mask wearing.
tbh, it makes me a little wary, neither of us have underlying health issues. But don’t feel the current situation is handled very well.In my view, should be a fit to fly test required as a minimum.
have to say throughout our cruise we found the information being shared a bit lacking something which is always a weak point for p and o.
we have a 7 nighter booked for feb, which we are going with dw parents, and I’m worried for them especially as Iona in winter indoors could be very crowded.

Just got off Ventura yesterday, and on the day of departure we both felt grotty and have since tested positive for covid.
with the prevalence on board I do feel p and o should be reducing occupancy. We sailed at 95% full and there were ppl having to isolate in inside cabins which can’t be a fun experience!
I never heard an exact figure but the rumours I heard were that the no of cases were well into several hundred
-
On board at the moment and have to say it has put a dampener on the cruise. Don’t come on holiday to have to wear a mask.
The weather for the canaries has been pretty rubbish too, 2 Ports with rain and all excursions cancelled!!!
-
Just had an email for our feb cruise with an extra £100.
including our shareholder benefit gives us £340 for our weeks cruise 🍺🍷🍹

We visited kerkenhoff, on an organised tour with P and O in April from Rotterdam
it was a half day excursion, and for most people that’s probably enough time, but it is about an hour each way on the coach
it’s a really impressive sight, and if you’re into gardens or gardening I’d recommend it

I’m going to be honest we’d booked deck d aft corner mini suite. I was fearing this was going to be us.
To the op, I’d be kicking up hell, writing to the ceo and anyone who’d listen as other than another cabin on deck c there isn’t an equivalent they can give.
I don’t get why they didn’t use another standard cabin deck, as surely ppl could be more easily moved to something equivalent
-
Can anyone tell if on Ventura the rear most cabins on d deck are still in the isolation zone?
I booked a particular cabin on d deck on select fare of which there is no equivalent on day 1 of release and am worried that we will in effect be downgraded if moved.
4 weeks till sailing and no confirmation of cabin as of yet

Sailing on the Britannia today, we both tested negative last night and the paperwork from randox came through in minutes.
knowing p and o expecting disorganised chaos at the terminal with the change to boarding today.
will keep you posted

The libraries do need to reopen, now they have argued in effect that restrictions are lifted.
though to be honest I manage fine with my kindle paper white in the sun.
-
We sail on the 29th April, for a short cruise and to be honest this massively puts us off short cruises in future.
to make matters even more confusing I rang p and o this afternoon to be told the test has to be supervised antigen not an certified online test!
so who knows what I need in just over 2 weeks time as I don’t??
-
If p and o are going for the 25-45 age group then to be honest, Ventura and Azura aren’t going to cut it.
My wife and I fall in this category, and our friends/ colleagues/ siblings don’t want to cruise, also a lot of them would really be put off by the dated decor and the postage stamp tv’s.

I’d agree with bouncing wheel, having just got home it was lovely to have so much room on Britannia, but having said that the atmosphere in the venues was a bit lacking due to the low no’s. I heard 1500 passengers last week. No issues with dining though and the venues, though we skipped the theatre not wanting to wear a face mask for the show.
We were in an aft suite and I have to admit the traipse in warm weather with face mask to the epicurean and back was a bit of a palaver.
We had a lovely week though and made the most of our suite, and the amazing weather.
It was great to be away enjoying a cruise again, but after 7 days and not getting off in Liverpool we were ready for home.

We’re on board at the moment and have been very lucky with the weather. Very warm from Sunday to yesterday, though still pleasant yesterday despite the odd shower.
She feels very different to our last experience on her with only 1500 on board at present, at times the atmosphere is lacking a bit in the evenings.
Do miss the lack of a proper prom deck on her, but we knew that when we booked.
Just spending today in Liverpool chilling on the balcony.

Glad to hear the app is working well for you, I’d be interested to hear how you are finding the wait for the mdr and what time you are finding the queues are less. Have a lovely trip

Hoping the link below to the road closures is useful. Looks like it’s worse in the morning so might be worth arriving later on

Wishing given the weather we’d booked the southern cruising option! Usually early September is a bit warmer than the forecast for next week!
-
Hi, does anyone know the number of passengers on Britannia at the moment, curious as we are on board next week and wondering how packed the interior and lido spaces will be
thanks in advance
-
Hoping as we are onboard on sept this gets relaxed, and allowed to do our own thing on excursions but somehow I doubt it will. Nice little cash cow for them at the moment
-
Have to admit I’m a little peeved that having booked a suite for what we thought was priority boarding there’s no priority testing, just potentially a very long queue.

Based on 2600 cabins, seems to be not that many on board. If at 60% wonder how the app would cope!!
2024
in Cunard Line
Posted
Looking for a 24, New England and Canada cruise that includes a ta, sail into New York And a flight home it looks like Cunard is my only choice.
Disappointed that there’s no news on when the 2024 itenaries will be released
