  1. I was having the same problem with my Samsung table.

These are the instructions on the GET CONNECTED NOW business card given to me on the Harmony of the Seas

3 Easy steps to get connected

    1. On your personal device, connect to the Wi-Fi network named "royal-wifi".

    2. Open your preferred browser: type login.com  (No W's)

Navigate to any page, and the Royal Caribbean online home page will appear.

    3. You will be prompted with the options to get started.

Remember, to log off properly, type: logoff.com  (No W's)

  2. Emotional support animals face restrictions in Southwest airlines, Royal Caribbean cruises, reports say

    http://www.foxnews.com/travel/2018/08/15/emotional-support-animals-face-restrictions-in-southwest-airlines-royal-caribbean-cruises-reports-say.html

"We are updating the policy to differentiate emotional support animals from service animals that are trained and certified to perform a function for a person with a disability," Royal Caribbean said in a statement, according to the blog.

The cruise ship company also said it's "important to us that all our guests enjoy their vacation, which is why we put into practice this new policy," adding that the policy for service animals traveling with guests who have a disability would remain the same.

Reservations of travelers with ESAs noted on bookings prior to July 30 would be allowed to sail, the report said.

Other cruise lines Norwegian and Carnival also do not allow emotional support animals onboard, but does permit trained service animals, MarketWatch reported.

  3. We've been parking at Park n Cruise for many years now. Easy to book on line. They are reasonably priced, efficient, and secure. The service is friendly, efficient and cost is reasonable. We recommend them to all our friends. We wouldn't think of parking anywhere else at Port Canaveral. It's always a good experience when we park there. They also offer a "Stay 4 times & 5th is free" card.

    Their website link is http://www.parkcruise.com.

  4. Unpected surprise on Freedom debarkation morning. Received a letter from RCI informing us we will receive a discount on a future cruise of 10% of the price paid for our 8/23 cruise ( not additional expenses). There is a number to call to get the certificate. Letter says details will be in the certificate. Discount is per person and good for 2 years. I know no other details but hope it is generally combinable with standard RCI balcony or other discounts.

The 8/23 cruise was supposed to be eastern caribbean and was changed the evening prior to sailing to a western. We had a total of 4 ports rather than the planned three and had beautiful weather and calm seas.

    Thanks RCI.

What was the phone number they supplied? We did not receive that letter.

  5.

The automatic gratuity is $12.95 USD, or $15.95 USD for suite guests, applied to each guest's SeaPass® account on a daily basis. Here's how it is shared between your onboard service team:

    •Dining & Culinary Services: $7.75 USD

•Stateroom Attendant: $3.85 USD OR Suite Attendant: $6.10 USD

•Other Housekeeping Services: $1.35 USD OR Housekeeping and Suite Services: $2.10 USD

The Dining & Culinary services does not break it down for the Waiter, Assistant Waiter & Head Waiter receive. Any body know the breakdown?

  6. This gratuity (service charge) is shared by dining & culinary services personnel, stateroom attendants and other housekeeping and guest services personnel.

Does anyone know the $12.95/person/day breakdown ($/position) of how this is distributed?

    Stateroom Attendant:

    MDR Waiter:

    MDR Assistant Waiter:

    Head Waiter:

    All others:

  7. Questions about gratuities

    1. I assume the total prepaid and automatic gratuities

collected is evenly distributed among the various crew

members according to position and number of staterooms

and diners assigned to them (Stateroom Attendant/Housekeeping

    and Wait/Dining staff).

    2. If someone chooses to decline the automatic gratuities,

how would this affect the crew members involved with that

person’s account? Would that be deducted from the crew

    members’ distribution?

    3. If the crew members are paid in cash, how would anyone

know how much cash was given?

  8. true..I have seen that list on the cabin stewards' carts as well.

The way I understand it, any cash ON TOP OF the prepaid/auto charges money they can keep( same with any extra you assign on top of the bar tab's automatic 15 or 18%)

but if you remove that daily surcharge ANY cash they get must be pooled. so in the long run they could end up being shortchanged by your actions.

you have to understand that that daily fee actually also helps out people YOU NEVER SEE. it also covers every meal you eat, not just ones where you are served.

Do you know this to be a fact?

  9. This is not just about not getting toiletries; it is about slowly losing perks.

We have been cruising Royal Caribbean exclusively since June 2007 (except for 2 cruises on Celebrity), and are Diamond Plus, having accumulated 250 points.

Unhappily we have become accustomed to losing perks some of which we really miss and some not so much. We miss the welcome aboard gifts of ball caps and zippered totes, etc; the nightly chocolates on the pillow; pens, stationary & post cards in the desk drawer; champagne breakfasts; free drinks and hors d’oeuvres on Coco Cay (Wacky Seagull Jr.); free movies on TV; Fox news; a special line at the guest services desk among other things. And now, without advance notice, body lotion, hair conditioner, shampoo, shower gel, or a shower cap……supposedly only for Suite or Diamond plus with over 340 points. Even cheap motels supply these items (whether you use them or not).

We just got off a 10 night cruise on the Vision of The Seas and there were no shampoo dispensers in the showers either.

I think that Royal should be “Loyal” to us.

  10. Does anyone know if there are locals at the dock with vans that provide island tours?

We are an the Vision of The seas cruise June 9-19.
