  1. During these voyages, the seaview sails first through Norway for a week and then through the Baltic for a week. That's no different than the virtuosa would, deviated and deviated between Norway and the Baltic states.
  2. Thats a different story then what you said first, and that was incorrect; 'So it seems like Seaview will only sail the Baltics instead of Norway.' Take a look at the arrival list on the port of flam website and the official statement of MSC cruises and you can see that the plans are: 'The MSC Seaview is scheduled to operate sailing itineraries of 7 nights and longer to the Norwegian fjords and the Baltic capitals, according to their current schedule.' If ports are open by june 20th, nothing changes, except the ship. Thats the correct information
  3. If you look on the website port of flam (norway) and check the ship arrivals, you can see that seaview is on there. So the information of @Ulsteinvik is incorrect. The seaview is a great ship, i think that you are lucky that they did not put you on a much older ship. The Splendida is not on the arrival list of flam anymore, she will sail in eastern europe this summer.
  4. MSC Virtuosa was previously scheduled to serve itineraries in Northern Europe out of Germany, she will be replaced by MSC Seaview. Booked guests and travel agents will be contacted directly. Seaview itineraries starts from Kiel in June 2021. Not a bad switch in my opinion! If we take a look to the last switch from Seashore to Fantasia, that was awful! The seaview is a great vessel and maybe guests get some OBC. I will take it...😁

  6. The msc virtuosa will soon be leaving her homeport to sail on to antwerp. What she is going to do there is completely unclear to me... Couldn't she have sailed directly to her new homeport in keel? That is where the virtuosa is planned for this summer season. Or would this ship be used for the english market? Because the uk is nearby. Or will the ship wait patiently in antwerp to see what norway will decide in a month's time regarding cruises in that country? Because norways restrictions on cruising ends in may. To be honest, I don't really see
  7. And MSC is still sailing... for now the cruises in Europe has nothing to do with infections on the mainland, as long the safe bubble restrictions will be followed strictly. And they succed by that. It looks like cruising in Europe is on the most safe holidays if you want a zero low chance of infections. It will take some time but it looks good for cruising in Europe, in a new way but good.
  8. For the US its clear now that there is nothing by summer. For the EU there is a much better perspective.
  9. Thats right! @CruisingFox27 "The whristbands will be rolled out along the line’s nine remaining ships in its 11-ship building program over the next 10 years. MSC will also retrofit its 12 existing ships with the technology soon." I good chance that, due the pandemic, it had a steady roll out on the existing ships.
  10. We all know that Europe is lagging behind in terms of vaccination. but that has nothing to do with cruising. After all, it is not for nothing that ships from different shipping companies already sail in Europe and America is not while this is simply possible. Because in Europe they look forward to see what can be done in the last steps of this pandemic. I foresee that more and more ships will make a start in Europe towards the summer, but that will initially only be for European guests as it is now. We are now seeing it happening this way in the UK to. This summer I don't see gues
  11. The MSC for Me app is only available for guests traveling on MSC Meraviglia, MSC Seaside, MSC Seaview, MSC Bellissima, MSC Grandiosa and the MSC Magnifica. Coming soon for MSC Virtuosa and MSC Seashore by this year and no further plans to expand the app to the other vessels as we speak. If needed, contact tracing will be done by the 'MSC whristbands'
  12. It looks clear that the Virtuosa will start now at Kiel at first this summer. Lets see Germany, Norway, Denmark and Russia allow cruiseships by that time. If we look to the newspage from Port of Kiel, they are pretty sure that they will operate and handling cruiseships by late spring this year. And honestley i think that by summer we are in a whole other and much better state in the pandemic for cruisepassengers by that time. What do you all think?
  13. It seems that Europe will relax a little faster on cruise measures than in the US, where the policy seems to be a lot stricter. At the end of February/the beginning of March, more information will emerge from the Union about how to act in the exit strategy we find ourselves in and how cruise lines should act on this. It seems MSC cruises are taking the lead in this and the Grandiosa sailings seem to be the big test, The Union looking over their shoulders. For the time being, I am looking forward positively to this summer, when many shipping companies will be operational again on
  14. This is just a copy/paste, it looks like they may have booked progress with the greek ministry maybe. We have to stay tuned if this dates will make it to retstart. At least it is a start... Who knows how far they are to make agreements with the governments of countries where they want to sail. In the meantime, news follows up that MSC is also negotiating with Mexico by invitation. We will see what rolls out. For sure they don't run 100% capacity and the 'save bubble' will stay present if they restart this summer. If needed, they will build off this bubble, like they mentioned on th
  15. MSC Cruises setup sailing Europe, ships start cruising in a phased manner by the summer season 2021. A look at the first sailing of each MSC Cruiseship who starts and get back into service (only Europe sailings and only Schengen guests can apply). The first ship, MSC Grandiosa, already did a kickoff of this restart. Other ships by MSC cruises are planned for Asia, the UK or the USA later on, expected to reveal after the healthplan of MSC cruises will be accepted by port of call countrys. MSC Fantasia Capacity at 100%: 3,300 Date: April 29, 2021 Homeport: Genoa
