We fit your demographic and enjoy our grown kids. We like quiet more than loud. BUT we love VV! 10 cruises so far.

Alaska was possible in the future.

I was on a call with top management and investors. They said it was not in the plans at this point.

There arent any cruises listed to book out of Portsmouth as of now on the UK site. Fingers crossed.

This is where VV docked in April TA crossing.

Servers are great in our experience but maybe the concept needs to be tweeked.
Our first dinner at GunBae, we grilled our own too. The drinking game was not received very well by our table. Im not sure why, but the diners didn't have much interest in it.
Second time we ate there, it was grilled for us. At that dinner two guests ordered the upgraded meat. When it was cooked, the server asked if we wanted to share the meat and promptly started sharing. It made for a very awkward experience. I dont think any of us got what we ordered.
We have been on the ships 8 more times, but haven't felt compelled to book GunBae again. In general I can appreciate what VV is trying to accomplish, but I think the concept can be greatly improved.

I have no idea if VV is planing to make a change. Personally, I have always felt GunBae misses the mark. I have heard its a favorite for some, but after my first two visits, I have skipped it. I would love to see an upscale Modern-Asian inspired themed restaurant as a replacement.

Two points of interest : Disembarkation time is later than most cruise lines and once you board, all the cabins are ready for occupancy. Normally, you are in your cabin in 15 minutes.

Flights to SJU are high right now but watch for deals. Though I dont care for Frontier, there are better prices from their cities even after paying their crazy fees. Few or none of the cruise ships leave from the Old San Juan piers. The cruise ships dock in Old San Juan are for stops to visit OSJ. So, I anticipate we board where the cruise ships depart.

Great job!
Elsewhere I have seen Scotland, Iceland and Netherlands listed as ports under contract by VV. Im really looking forward to seeing an official announcement!

I was on a live Q&A with management and investors. During the discussion they said Alaska was an interesting possibility but LA based was not. It was not coming soon. It may have been the same discussion.

Our last Princess was an Alaska in 2022. The food was not very good and buffet was really a pre-portioned serving line. And unfortunately, the ship was also old. In November of 2022 we went on our first VV and have never looked back....

I would take a voyage of similar length mainly worried about losing the sailor loot I have accumulated already of $850!
VV has matched the loot on the rebooked trips in the past.

Correct. Check cruisemapper:
Santa Cruz de Tenerife: (supposed to be 4/27)
Gran Canaria (4/28)
Funchal: (4/29)

Lisbon (5/1)

No Brilliant Lady anywhere! If you search by ship name, there is also nothing for Brilliant Lady after the April sailings in the Caribbean (from San Juan)....
Humm..... Not good. Thanks.

Right! How do they explain the fact that the ship is not scheduled to be in any of the ports on the TA or Lisbon.
Am I understanding correctly that the April '24 TA is not showing scheduled on the port dock reservations in Lisbon or the other stops prior?

I really like the PR itineraries. We are excited and have a january and March trips booked.

We did the April (2023) crossing from Miami to Spain. It was very good. I traded and used some Zoom. Zoom calls were average. I had an occasional dropout and would go to audio. Premium was very stable for crossing and into Med. They must have improved it from October (2022).
If video is required for Teams, it could be an issue for multiple hours per day. If audio or text is required (only), I think you should be fine.

You can ask for keycard when you board, if you prefer.
Try to book reservations before you board. Immediately after boarding, ask for the "Dinner Reservation person". They will rebook you if you want to change times, or days, or if you couldn't get your favorite restaurant .

$1600 per sailor is what I read elsewhere, so I think you came out well.
I hope you have a wonderful trip to make up for your inconvenience.

Sorry to hear of your difficulties, but I guess you are okay with how worked out?
So, to be clear, you were able to rebook a future cruise (though the price was higher) at no additional cost and received back your original FVC and MNVV?
Did VV provide any other Bonus Credits to use on a future cruise?

I have 3 San Juan departures booked starting in December and including the TA. I really dont want these cancelled, but hopefully we will know tomorrow.
It will be interesting to see how they make this right for customers.
