  1. Has anyone done the blackwood tour going to Gaelic museum and william bell museum? I’m feeling its only an hour at gaelic museum so may be rushed. I’m torn as i was thinking of going on just a tour to gaelic museum but i don’t want to miss the william bell museum. Is it worth it?

Princess is brining themselves inline with other cruise lines with regards to the non-refundable deposit on the lowest fares.  At least with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity, they will credit the non-refundable deposit as a future cruise credit and it can be applied a different cruise (may or may not come with a penalty for going this route).

If you're not absolutely sure you want to go on a particular cruise, don't book a fare with a non-refundable deposit.

Don't understand why people are obsessed with picking their cabins.  You have feet, walk (or take your scooter) to where you need to go on the ship; the distances aren't that long; you'll walk more in port.  If the cabin assigned to you is surrounded by a public space, bring ear plugs.  If you don't want to feel the rocking of the ocean, don't take a cruise.  Just be happy that you're privileged enough to be a passenger of the ship and not the crew of the ship.

The Drop and Go Fares show up a couple of weeks after the final payment date for a cruise.  They sometimes offer quite a substantial discount, especially for trans-Atlantics.  Alaska Drop and Go fares for June 2023 are quite low.

A delayed response, but i was on a holland america cruise where i was under the galley and it was noisy all night. Ear plugs didn’t work. Never again will i ever take a guarantee, cheaper or not. It actually makes sense that a guarantee is cheaper to me.

  3. The title of this thread is pretty clear Are NCL selling cruises to ports they have no intention of going to. So the question isn’t whether what they are doing is in a contract but if they are missing ports deliberately. I don’t have the answer to that but seems focus of thread has shifted. I think its reasonable to want changes to be made before final payment if possible.

Despite what you read here, NCL is not unique in changing itineraries.  Visit some other CC forums.  You'll find similar complaints.  And, yes, read the cruise contracts for other cruise lines and you'll find  the same disclaimers on changing ports.

I read the princess forum and royal caribbean forum and i’ve never seen complaints like this. So yes i think ncl is worse then the others.

  5. I thought the date i’m going is expensive but it seems its expensive all around. I’m travelling solo and am staying in 4 bed dorm at hi hostel one night. People will disagree but its only one night and hi hostel has good reputation. I’m canadian and i’m not paying 900.00 for 2 nights in boston so best alternative. Just a note someone mentioned the art gallery in another forum and they have the biggest selection of monet paintings outside france!

  6. Thanks i may just stay at comfort inn and suites as it has the best reviews and no complaints about the shuttle. My flight comes in at 10:30 so want to make sure it doesn't take too long. Looks like uber will cost 7-10 to revere beach station and i'm ok with that. I'm assuming uber would take suitcases when taking passengers from airport hotels.
