Thanks everyone for your kinds words. I will try to make this fun for everyone. :D
Linda,
I originally signed up on your M&M as I miscalculated and thought your cruise started after Thanksgiving. Marie would have killed me if we had booked that cruise.
Also living on the west coast it just makes it easier to get home doing the westbound.

Which ever direction I'm sure we will all have a great time..... I do have a request if possible can you let me know how you find the cabins re storage. Closet an drawers, I've always found the space adaquate but I've read pistes saying lack of drawers and the need to bring hanging organizers to hold clothing. Hope you find lots if adventures awaiting you. Linda

I've gotten better but bring some of the mentioned items, can't stand messes and find the pop up hamper is great, once it's full I put things into zip lock bags an put into stored luggage. Don't carry tape but have bright colored straps that were purchased in London after a piece of luggage was broken by airline. Little things aren't my problem......it's clothes and shoes, getting better but I love playing dress up....lol. Linda

A few cruises ago we were preparing for formal night and as my husband was trying to get dressed he asked where his tux pants were???? I replied hanging with the jacket......uh NO, it seems as I picked up tux after last cruise at dry cleaners I just assumed all was in plastic bag.
We were lucky, after calling to ships tux rental they had him come down to rental area an they measured him an had a pair delivered to our cabin. Thanks RCCL ! And when we came home I ck'd with dry cleaner an they had been holding the tux pants waiting for the person they belonged to ......taught me to always ck when I pick up clothes and not to worry about what we might forget because there seems to be a way to overcome it...Linda

Was in Port Questzal in December.
It has one of the nicest ports areas for cruise ships. Lots of shops, vendor stalls, cafes, and wifi. Very clean and easy, just walk off the ship.
We took a DIY trip to Antiqua. You will be dropped off at a tourist information area. Nice bathrooms, again vendor stalls and here you hire a local guide for walking tour of Antiqua. The four of us paid $10.00USD a piece. Toured Santo Domingo hotel which is embedded in the ruins of a old monastary. Went to local coffee bar and bought great coffee beans, had a lunch at a lcoal cafe overlooking the main square, had time to shop and back to the torist site for our ride back to the ship. We told our quide these were the things we wanted to do. Miquel was a young man aobut 35, spoke very good English and really was so informative aobut his town and his country. We learned alot aobut the beautiful colonial town of Antiqua.
The one hour ride, takes you close to three volcanoes, through sugar cane plantations, and you get to see some of the smaller towns.
It was perfectly safe, others on our cruise even did private tours and they had a good time. I would stay with the ship tour just because if there is any traffic delay on the one and only highway, it could be a problem if your private tour is late.
Enjoy this port of call.
Apprieciate the info. Going over thanksgiving holidays...looking forward to it...Linda

Its the whole attitude you develope as you begin the boarding process, every time its just as thrilling as the first cruise was...Linda

Seeing my DH in a tuxedo on formal nights.... even though we're both over 55, to me he's the sexiest man on the ship!!!:);)
I agree, we are approaching 60 years but still think of each other as we did 38 years ago getting married. I look at him dressed for those formal nights & feel so lucky to have such a sexy, wonderful & amazing man...Hope all you young women feel half as good with your special man...Later Linda

Its amazing all the things you find on this thread that you never knew you couldn't leave without....my list keeps getting longer...Linda

our first cruise was for our 30th anniversary and each one since has been just as memorable.
We couldn't afford to travel much in our early years together so we truly apprieciate our cruises.
Love all our private moments, glasses of wine & the smell of my DH's cigar, the excitement of sunsets,( even though we live in the Tampa area and can watch beautiful sunsets any night ) for some reason they all seem exceptional.
Love casual breakfast on our balcony before we head out for a full day of fun and adventure.
I guess I could go on forever, there are just so many reasons cruising is special and worth looking forward to.....Late Linda

Had to think about this,
1. Documents ( won't get far without them )
2. lysol spray
3. camera's
4. lots of money
5. MOST IMORTANT..my DH

Love all the ideas and will use a lot of them, particually like the phone card idea.
We always take a collapsable laundry hamper, takes no space in luggage, weighs nothing and keeps things neater. Once hamper is full we dump them into the XXlarge ziplock bags & put that bag immediately in our luggage which makes last night much simpler.

I will keep all this info in mind on future cruises we also like sitting on the balcony away from all the chaos that's sometime around the ship
