  1. Oh that sounds alright. Thanks for your input!
  2. Hi We booked a Sunset Veranda - deck 10 on Celebrity Equinox. I noticed in pics, the hang over from the outdoor eating area off of the buffet appears to hang over the top decks creating shade on the balcony. Would we still get the shade from the over hang on deck 10? Our cabin is 1407. We still have an opportunity to drop down to deck 9 if we need to. I would like to sit out on our balcony without the over hang above our heads. Thanks for any help you can offer.
  3. Everyone's different. But for us, we established tight friendships over the years and these were with our table mates. We became tight over the cruise. It was great! We've never had a bad experience.
  4. Thanks to all who replied. I think we'll just stick with our our cruise lines. This is what we really like over land based all inclusive. We enjoy meeting other people and sitting at a table of 6 or 8 where we get the opportunity to know them and our same waiter throughout the cruise.
  5. Thanks for you reply. Then are you dining alone or do they seat you with others? It would just be my husband and I.
  6. We are wanting to sail the Mediterranean/Greek Islands in 2025. We're used to dining on other ships with our fixed dining times. This means same table, same table mates and same waiters throughout the cruise. We really enjoy this because there is no waiting to be seated, you just walk right into the dining room and go to your table. We get to meet and develop friendships with our table mates and a relationship with out waiter. I understand that NCL does not do this but instead does just the anytime dining. What is it like on NCL? Are you waiting to be seated 10 min, 20 min or 30? or do you need to make reservations each night?
  7. I totally agree with Georgia_Peache. It's so port sensitive, that we can't take the risk of sleepless nights. However it would have been nice to be on a new ship. What's the deal anyway?! Why can't they just make them the way they use to? As word travels fast, I'm wondering if this is going to effect how many choose these ships moving forward?
  8. Thanks to all who replied. It really seems like it's hit and miss. We were planning on Mediterranean cruise. To fly all that way plus money for a cruise, I think we'll stick with the older ships where we know we'll have a good night sleep.
  9. Hello We were thinking of booking a cruise on the new Ascent until I read some people saying that they were hearing noises from their cabin at night, like someone banging on a pipe. These complaints were coming from both ships. A friend of mine got off of the Beyond last month and she said the same thing. So I'm wondering if it's just certain cabins or certain areas on the ship that are experiencing this noise or are all cabins hearing it? Your feedback, especially anyone who's been on the Ascent is greatly appreciated.
  10. Ohhh what a great idea!! Thanks, I'll pick some up!
  11. I don't mean to change the topic, but I heard that we're not allowed to bring a travelling steamer on board, so without spending money to get the wrinkles out of our clothes, does anyone one have any tricks? Especially on formal night or really any evening, I don't want to walk around looking like we've slept in our clothes. Thanks for any help you can offer
  12. I totally agree with you!!
  13. Thanks so much for your input. It's fun when everyone participates, but honestly it's a lot easier leaving it at home, less baggage to lug through the airport. I really appreciate your feedback, have a great evening!
