  1. Well Tribe today we leave for our 14-day cruise on the Carnival Spirit.  We go to Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau, Icy Point Strait, Sitka, Valdez and Seward.  We haven't been to the last three so we are looking forward to those.  We enjoy the others also.  Hope you all have a great two weeks.

Have a great cruise. We toured Alaska on our first cruise several years ago with DH parents. It was a last minute booking for us. We found out they had booked a cruise. DH’s mother had dementia and his dad was very frail from brain cancer. We got a great price and joined them, it was a wonderful trip. The scenery is fabulous.

It is beautiful.  We have been on the 7day cruise a couple of times and are really looking forward to 14 days.  Old places and new places to visit.

Sounds fabulous. I have a feeling my first Alaska cruise will not be my last🤞

Since it is our closest port, no flying, we plan on going a few more times.

  3. I don't post here much but wanted to tell someone other than my DH that we have 20days until our 14-day cruise to Alaska on the Carnival Spirit.

Everyone have a great day. Also, all have great future cruises.

Wildra, you crack me up! Meskal, I’m sure this is the dumbest question ever asked on cc but do you think a cruise to AK would still be good if I stayed on the ship?

Yes.  The views are fantastic from the ship.  On our cruises we have seen plenty of wildlife from the ship.  We enjoy the ship so staying on is no big deal.  Again the views are great just go and enjoy the cruise your way.

  5. Yes, you really need to do this cruise.  We have been three times and just love it.  We have a 14-day cruise this April and we are really looking forward to it.  Of course, it is a quick two-to-three-hour drive to Seattle to get on the ship. Depends on traffic how long it takes to get there.

I have enjoyed all of your trip reports and am looking forward to more.

Currently on the Carnival Dream, last day of the cruise and boy has it been wild.  Winds and waves started up this morning, but at approximately 1pm we went into a big storm.  Ship was listing to the port side. On the starboard side, where my cabin is on 11th floor the water was coming into my cabin and out into the hall.  Everyone including crew were sent to their rooms for about 2hrs.

all back to almost normal.  Ocean plaza, the entire aft pool area, and all outdoor areas are still off limits. I’ve seen 2 broken glass doors.

Ince released from our rooms I went and sat by guest services, because we all know what was coming and the line was huge.  Seriously, these people acting like they should get money because there was a storm. It was ridiculous.

The Thelasso pool was wild. I chose not to get in. Recorded this a few hours before we hit the really bad storm.

Incredibly the internet stayed working the entire time

    Where was the ship?
