Well Tribe today we leave for our 14-day cruise on the Carnival Spirit. We go to Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau, Icy Point Strait, Sitka, Valdez and Seward. We haven't been to the last three so we are looking forward to those. We enjoy the others also. Hope you all have a great two weeks.

Have a great cruise. We toured Alaska on our first cruise several years ago with DH parents. It was a last minute booking for us. We found out they had booked a cruise. DH’s mother had dementia and his dad was very frail from brain cancer. We got a great price and joined them, it was a wonderful trip. The scenery is fabulous.
It is beautiful. We have been on the 7day cruise a couple of times and are really looking forward to 14 days. Old places and new places to visit.

Since it is our closest port, no flying, we plan on going a few more times.

I don't post here much but wanted to tell someone other than my DH that we have 20days until our 14-day cruise to Alaska on the Carnival Spirit.
Everyone have a great day. Also, all have great future cruises.

Wildra, you crack me up! Meskal, I’m sure this is the dumbest question ever asked on cc but do you think a cruise to AK would still be good if I stayed on the ship?
Yes. The views are fantastic from the ship. On our cruises we have seen plenty of wildlife from the ship. We enjoy the ship so staying on is no big deal. Again the views are great just go and enjoy the cruise your way.

Yes, you really need to do this cruise. We have been three times and just love it. We have a 14-day cruise this April and we are really looking forward to it. Of course, it is a quick two-to-three-hour drive to Seattle to get on the ship. Depends on traffic how long it takes to get there.
I have enjoyed all of your trip reports and am looking forward to more.

Did they actually say the roof is broken? I have a 14 day Alaska cruise on the Spirit next month and closed roof would be oh so much better in Alaska!
We are on this cruise also and I really hope the roof will be able to be closed. Otherwise, it could get a little cool in that area.

Currently on the Carnival Dream, last day of the cruise and boy has it been wild. Winds and waves started up this morning, but at approximately 1pm we went into a big storm. Ship was listing to the port side. On the starboard side, where my cabin is on 11th floor the water was coming into my cabin and out into the hall. Everyone including crew were sent to their rooms for about 2hrs.
all back to almost normal. Ocean plaza, the entire aft pool area, and all outdoor areas are still off limits. I’ve seen 2 broken glass doors.
Ince released from our rooms I went and sat by guest services, because we all know what was coming and the line was huge. Seriously, these people acting like they should get money because there was a storm. It was ridiculous.
The Thelasso pool was wild. I chose not to get in. Recorded this a few hours before we hit the really bad storm.
Incredibly the internet stayed working the entire time

On our last cruise I ordered it to have in the cabin. I never went to the bar to get it but they do have it on the ship.

I'm sorry this cruise is over. I have enjoyed every bit of it, pictures and commentary. Sad that you won't be doing any more lives but have read and enjoyed every one of yours. Will continue to follow the tribe and hopefully enjoy your writings from there. Travel on Sid.

Love your pictures Sid, We were in San Juan one year ago and loved it. We didn't see half of what you have done so far there. We couldn't take the humidity. So really enjoy seeing it through your pictures.

It is snowing here this morning. We live above the very small town of Hoodsport. Hoodsport is on Hood Canal which is at sea level and tends to get very little snow. Otherwise a good day in the cold.

We were on the ship also and went down to Guest Services first thing in the morning and they said if you had and early flight to meet in the Casino and we would be some of the first off the ship. We made it to the airport by 12pm and made our flight home.

I have read and loved all of your reviews. I will say this is one of the best. I am also a stalker on the tribe site. Glad you enjoyed this cruise.
