  1. If any of you ever get out to Oregon you can go to the town of Tillamook on the coast.  They have their factory there and you can get cheese and ice cream right off of production.  It is the best.  They have an ice cream parlor on the upper floor and on the main floor is a store where you can buy the cheese and ice cream.  They use to have the full production of the cheese open to watch but not any more.  It was really interesting.  Great ice cream and cheese, we can, of course, get it all here.  Every one have a great day.

  2. Sid, I found your reviews a while back and read all of them, when I saw they talked you into doing this thread I had to find it.  I read almost everyday, I only miss when we are out of town on business.  Like all of you my husband and I miss cruising.  We only had one cancelled but it was a 28 day in the South Pacific.  Have a great time in Miami.  Look forward to your food p0rn.

Holy moly, Batman!... We somehow increased our numbers to 112 as of this morning... I guess that due to there being no cruises happening now, people are trying to occupy their time however they can... Welcome to the newcomers!...

Now that I finally have the plumbing issue sorted out for real, now I have to try and find the motivation to figure out what my next step is in life... Of course, I still have to continue with my full time job while doing this.

I'm getting a handle on the storage stuff now, and I have boxes stacked up to nearly the ceiling in a couple of places. I'm hoping to just throw away everything else that's left over there, other than an old bicycle. I have no idea how I'm going to squeeze that into my already shrinking apartment. It needs some work, and I paid almost a thousand dollars for it twenty years ago, so I definitely can't just throw it out.

I'm working my way back to my old schedule, now that we're back to work full time. That whole "shut down vacation" seems like but a dream now, in retrospect...

Hopefully, I can muster enough content to keep 112 people entertained going forward. I'm off to take my morning walk now...

I have been reading from the start, never noticed the follow button.  Oh well.  I have also read all of Sid's cruise reports.  Don't post often but really like reading about your cruises.  Never boring.

  4. We were on the Island through the Panama Canal and loved the ship.  Didn't care that the promenade deck didn't go all the way around, just went through one side of the ship to the other.  Not crowed at all.  Then we did a partial Panama Canal trip (19 days) on the Coral, really didn't notice any difference in crowds on the Island over the Coral.  We will be doing a 28 day on the Island next year.  The Island is a great ship.

  5. We sailed on the Grand in November and there was no chair in our cabin except for the desk chair.  We had and obstructed view on Emerald deck.  Didn't ask the steward, thought it may have been out for repair.  Guess not.  The small table was still there. I also have a bad back and sitting/laying on the bed is not good.  We did spend a lot of time up on deck but it did not lead to us spending more money.

New to CC not to cruising.

  6. We were on the Grand in November (Mexican Rivera) had the two bottles of water.  The card that was attached to the water said the tumbler would be delivered later.  Later never came.  Missed the tumbler don't have to worry about spilling.
