Wow, NCL insisted that my 19 and 20 year olds couldn’t be in their own cabin even though it connected to ours. I called and asked 3 times.

How long ago?  I would have MUCH preferred she put an adult in each cabin.  It's made it very difficult to book excursions prior reservations because the kids aren't checked in technically.  I specifically asked for an adult in each cabin BEFORE booking and she said separate was no problem.  Now says too difficult to change it.  Apparently I'm unreasonable:/

  2. Yeah, I thought so too.  It's not the way I will ever book again and I wouldn't have chosen it if I had booked myself.  It's kept us from being able to bid on better cabins because both cabins are required to be together.  I had to create an account for my 16 year old just to get access to their cabin info.  I was told my NCL they will complete the kids' check in at port.  God-willing, that process will be uneventful!  Lol

  3. We are going on the Epic 3/2. It's our first cruise and, apparently,  a big ship!  The kids are really excited about the kids' clubs and other activities.   What is the easiest way to communicate with them if they are ready to leave the club or want to move on to another activity? Or is it best to just set a time to meet up?  I have 4 kids, so definitely don't want them separating and exploring alone or I will spend the entire cruise searching for them.  Lol

  4. I think I will wait a few more days to book a Cozumel excursion, just in case.  I swear, this has been the most stressful vacation I've ever planned.  Kicking myself dearly for not taking trip insurance, but figured since it was within 45 days when booking, it wouldn't be necessary.  My mom was just diagnosed with breast cancer 2 weeks ago and is set to start radiation in 2 weeks (while we are on the cruise.)  Now the ship is limp and there is talk of the ship being dirty and sickness going around.  I feel we rushed into booking (travel agent said this was our only real option for our dates) and I'm just not super excited about it.  Here's hoping all the bumps are the devil's way of trying to prevent us from experiencing the best vacation ever!  I definitely learned to never book again without getting the insurance!!

  5. It appears from the 'Epic Interrupted' thread that Epic was still having issues even today.  We cruise out next Saturday on the Epic and I am trying to decide if I should book an excursion for our Cozumel port.  Do you think she is going to make it to Mexico?  Our only other port stop is GSC and I hadn't planned to book an excursion because she doesn't always make it there.  This is our 1st cruise ever, so I'm not sure how important it is to pre-book excursions.  Should I just wait until onboard?

Also, our son has difficulty walking.  Any Cozumel excursions that would not require much walking?  I'm thinking the size of the cruise ship is already going to be a challenge. Thanks!!  Trying to get excited, but definitely nervous!!
