The weather was perfect for sail away and we enjoyed the scenery of Miami on the way out.
-
We had a meet & greet for our roll call at the back pool on the lido deck and had a great turnout. Someone had a great idea of a shot glass exchange with everyone bringing a shot glass from their home state/city.

Ok, it's been a while since I have done a review so bear with me. lol Did this one with wife, daughter, her boyfriend, and a couple other old friends and we had a blast! Great ship, staff, food, and ports. So let's get started.
We flew Southwest out of Nola to Ft. Lauderdale and stayed at the Comfort suites near the airport. We had pre arranged for SAS Transportation to bring us to the port of Miami. It was $15 per person and they picked us up at 9:30am. We had to make two stops along the way to pick up more people and were at the port for 10:30am. We are platinum and were on board before 11:30am enjoying those awesome Guy's Burgers!

We just got back from our Glory cruise and Half Moon Cay was our favorite port! We also had cabana 10 and loved it!
-
We leave this Saturday on the Glory. Can someone please tell me so that I can reassure my husband....will he be able to catch any of the Stanley Cup playoffs on board???
We will be cruising with y'all. It's almost time!!!
-
Hiya Babs, we are leaving this Saturday on the Glory doing the same itinerary. Can't wait!!! Anxiously awaiting more of your review and pics.
-
Nice review as was your review of the Glory. Glad you had fun down here in Nola and like that you went off the beaten path a bit going to see the Tabasco plant. By the way, did you know that the causeway bridge is the world's longest bridge over a body of water at 24 miles long? Just some useless trivia info for ya. lol

Our cruise is 2 weeks away and was curious about this too.
-
I hate it when people have nothing better to do than look for petty things to criticize.
Well said!! Thanks for the info on the movies.
-
Curious as to what movies they showed at night on the big screen on the Lido deck.
-
Our cruise is 4 weeks away and this review is getting me more excited to go!!
-
We are 30 days away from doing this itinerary on the Glory and can't wait! Looking forward to the rest of your review and more pics.
-
Hey, glad you're back! Was looking forward to the rest of your review. lol
-
Don't wait too long though as there are only 15 of them and they usually sell out from what I hear. They are sold out on my upcoming cruise but luckily, I was able to get one.

With all due respect to JFK, that commercial was pretty lame and boring compared to the others that they made. Message in a bottle would have brought a lot of smiles and the cruise virgin one would have created a buzz and had people talking about it as one of the best ads.
-
Usually we will tip a little extra to the room steward or any staff member like bartender/server etc. at the end of the cruise if they have given us great service. We also make sure to have some money available to tip in case we order room service.

Ummm Was Grand Turk taken off this itinerary?
-
Great job so far and love the pics. We are doing this same cruise May 30th and I am really looking forward to HMC. Can't believe the water. Looks so clear like a swimming pool.
-
Awesome review so far! Enjoying the pics and copied the Alchemy bar menu so that I can show my peeps for our upcoming cruise on the Glory.

We always book the category 4J cabins and enjoy the secret open deck i nthe front of the ship. It's a great place to watch the ship sail into and out of the ports. These cabins are usually about $500 cheaper than balcony cabins on a 7 day cruise so that's the main reason we choose the 4J.

Really enjoyed the review and pics. Gets me even more excited for our cruise on the Glory in May. Glad you two had a good time.
-
Thanks for clarifying! That sounds like a good idea for us. Magan's Bay sounds like a must-see view, also. I don't think I'll be able to get the guys on the tram at PP. Maybe we gals can stuff them in a taxi and meet them down there. ;)
We have always planned our own sightseeing and just used taxi's. I am not a fan of led tours. After ten minutes of being packed in and led around like cattle I would lose what little mind I have left.
First of all congrats to your Buckeyes for winning the Sugar Bowl. We are planning to take a taxi to Mountain Top and then to Magen's Bay Beach for a few hours. Our daughter and her boyfriend have not been there so will be great for them to check it out. The views from up there of the beach and surrounding islands is really awesome. The store is pretty huge if you need to get some souvenirs and let's not forget the strong banana daiquiris they sell. Wife and I are in the same "young" age group as you. lol We still like to party and have a good time though. See ya in about 5 months!

Thanks for taking the time to post all those amazing pics! We are making our first trip to GT in May and can't wait to do some snorkeling in that beautiful water.
-
We always bring our own bottled water and soft drinks from home as it is a lot cheaper than buying from the cruiseline.

We booked reservations to eat at the steakhouse on the first night and really enjoyed it!
