  1. Ok, it's been a while since I have done a review so bear with me. lol Did this one with wife, daughter, her boyfriend, and a couple other old friends and we had a blast! Great ship, staff, food, and ports. So let's get started.

We flew Southwest out of Nola to Ft. Lauderdale and stayed at the Comfort suites near the airport. We had pre arranged for SAS Transportation to bring us to the port of Miami. It was $15 per person and they picked us up at 9:30am. We had to make two stops along the way to pick up more people and were at the port for 10:30am. We are platinum and were on board before 11:30am enjoying those awesome Guy's Burgers!

  2. We leave this Saturday on the Glory. Can someone please tell me so that I can reassure my husband....will he be able to catch any of the Stanley Cup playoffs on board???

We will be cruising with y'all. It's almost time!!!

  3. With all due respect to JFK, that commercial was pretty lame and boring compared to the others that they made. Message in a bottle would have brought a lot of smiles and the cruise virgin one would have created a buzz and had people talking about it as one of the best ads.

  4. Usually we will tip a little extra to the room steward or any staff member like bartender/server etc. at the end of the cruise if they have given us great service. We also make sure to have some money available to tip in case we order room service.

  5. We always book the category 4J cabins and enjoy the secret open deck i nthe front of the ship. It's a great place to watch the ship sail into and out of the ports. These cabins are usually about $500 cheaper than balcony cabins on a 7 day cruise so that's the main reason we choose the 4J.

  6. Thanks for clarifying! That sounds like a good idea for us. Magan's Bay sounds like a must-see view, also. I don't think I'll be able to get the guys on the tram at PP. Maybe we gals can stuff them in a taxi and meet them down there. ;)

We have always planned our own sightseeing and just used taxi's. I am not a fan of led tours. After ten minutes of being packed in and led around like cattle I would lose what little mind I have left.

First of all congrats to your Buckeyes for winning the Sugar Bowl. We are planning to take a taxi to Mountain Top and then to Magen's Bay Beach for a few hours. Our daughter and her boyfriend have not been there so will be great for them to check it out. The views from up there of the beach and surrounding islands is really awesome. The store is pretty huge if you need to get some souvenirs and let's not forget the strong banana daiquiris they sell. Wife and I are in the same "young" age group as you. lol We still like to party and have a good time though. See ya in about 5 months!
