  1. My family had an awesome time! This was my first time on an Oasis class ship and we loved her! It didn’t seem like we were cruising with more people. We are used to cruising during the holidays.

Our interior cabins were in a small hallway on Deck 8 forward and we loved the location and strolling through Central Park daily. Our stateroom attendant Bob was awesome!

The food we ordered in the dining room was all good and servers were excellent. We did My Time and only had the same servers twice (Day 5 and 7). Everyone was excellent. we also had lunch in the dining room on two sea days. We didn’t do any specialty restaurants this time. We did fine in Park Cafe, Windjammer, Dog House, and El Loco Fresh.

We thought the performers in the shows were great and the shows were well-done. Our favorite was Aqua 80.

We loved the Beatlemaniacs in the Music Hall and the midnight party on the 1st night. The washy washy guy on Deck 3 of the dining room was awesome with his nightly costumes and dancing.

I was bummed the weather caused our excursion cancellation in St. Thomas because I had never been there before. But we found a local grill and the Painkillers eased our disappointment. It was also our first time at Labadee and we enjoyed our bungalow at Columbus Cove.

we loved the ship so much we are booked on Allure for Christmas when she comes to our home port of Galveston.

  2. My kids have cruised the exact same amount of days. When my daughter turned 18, we got her own Crown and Anchor account. She received credit for every cruise she did (double for suites and when they use to do double for December sailings). She’s a Diamond in her own. Her younger brother carries my Diamond Plus status and it makes her mad. 😂

  3. I just had my second Nachi experience last week and it didn't disappoint. The service is excellent, margaritas were strong and tasty, the food is outstanding. I will always go to Nachi when I'm in Cozumel. My kids parasailed, snorkeled and did the Banana Boats also. We were there with a group of 38 and it was mostly us with a few others.

  4. We just did the Stingray City only tour through Royal and I didn't think our tour was crowded but their were lots of other tours there. I don't think it took away from our experience with the stingrays though. When we returned to the port area, we took an easy walk to Paradise Restaurant. It is right on the water. The food and drinks are excellent.

  5. We had a great Royal Caribbean stingray tour last week. It was run by MarineLand Tours. The captain of the boat and the crew actually drove the trolleys that they picked us up on at the port so we didn't have to wait for transportation on the way back. The crew could not have been nicer.

  6. We got off Liberty yesterday and from the minute they called us until we got on the Lighthouse shuttle, it took 30 minutes total. I think this was good. However, the terminal baggage area was crazy. The bags in my section were strewn about and it was packed. We had an excellent porter thought who zipped us out quickly and customs was the fastest I have ever experienced.

  7. I was on Navigator in October. The concierge was very nice and accommodating. There is no view but there is a great view in the Diamond Lounge. The bar is in house and the bartenders were fabulous.

Chops has breakfast for suite guests.

There was a little bit of everything for formal night.

I didn't have a favorite part of the Promenade. It's a lot like the Voyager.

The ice show was the best I have ever seen. The other shows were fine. I really liked the one that featured the special ballroom dancers.

Sabor was amazing. We ate their twice. Giovani's Table was also well worth it. Sabor did a guacamole demonstration by the pool one day. I didn't make it there but it would be worth it because their guacamole is that good!

We booked independently at Nachi Cocum in Cozumel. You can look them up online. It was an amazing destination and I'd do it again. I've done some great excursions in Cozumel from the mini powerboats, to a cooking class and beach buggy excursion. I haven't been to Falmouth.

    Enjoy!

  8. I was just at Nachi on Oct. 24. We loved it! They took great care of us. We had the guacamole, tortilla soup and garlic butter grilled shrimp. All was delicious. I drank margaritas all day. We did not use the pool but loved our palapa. The beach was calm and easy for swimming. I will definitely go back here. We told our waiter Manuel that we wanted to leave by 3 p.m. He got us a cab. When we walked up to the front he said ours was next #46 and it pulled up at 2:59 p.m. You can add extras like parasailing, massages, etc but we just enjoyed our lounge chairs, the beach and the awesome food and drinks. We did buy the welcome picture they took of us. My mom normally likes to buy a port picture each cruise so we did this in place of the ship's Cozumel picture.

  9. I just cruised with my parents in the same cabin last month. I have only been with my kids and husband in the past except on the times when we've had family suites with the extra bathrooms. It was really easy though. My dad liked to go to the concierge lounge at 4:30 so he was always ready and out so Mom and I could shower and get ready to meet him there later. The beds were set up bunk style with the other bed against the wall so we had walking space in between the beds. We were in an interior on the Navigator. We had plenty of storage space for everything. We all are seasoned cruise travelers though so we don't bring a lot more than we need.

  10. I have done three NYE cruises with my kids and we have another planned for next year. I love it and the kids do too!

NYE is typically formal night. On your table that night will be blowers, tiaras and top hats in NYE theme. There will be several countdown parties throughout the ship. Normally there is one in the Centrum or Promenade, depending on your ship, and then also on the Pool Deck. Complimentary Champagne is passed out right before midnight to everyone of age in these areas they are doing the countdown celebration. Then there is normally live music in several venues afterwards. Kids are welcome to join in the festivities. My kids love it! It's a lot of fun. I would imagine that the Kid Clubs have their own countdown and party if the moms and dads were ringing in NYE without them elsewhere but my kids have always been with us.

  11. My kids (13 and 11) were allowed in in the evening when it's posted as 18 and up on the Liberty this month. I was not going to take them but my dad went by himself one night and in talking to the concierge mentioned the kids. He told him they could come and stay since they have their own Diamond status. Their behavior was good so they were allowed to go each night. They enjoyed sodas and appetizers (especially the hot wings). The bartenders enjoyed them too and showed them magic tricks each night. We would go around 7-7:30 p.m. when the largest crowd had already gone to first seating of dinner so it wasn't overly crowded.

  12. I have done 3 NYE cruises (they are the best!) and NYE has always been formal night. They switch if they need to but in my experience there has never been an additional formal night because of NYE.

There are live balloon drops in the centrum or promenade, deck party by the pool, free champagne for everyone at midnight. At dinner there will be tiaras, top hats and blowers for New Year's.

It's just fun! Live music so you can dance the new year in. This past year, there was a 2013 ice sculpture by the pool and when it hit midnight, it was slid into the pool and 2014 ice revealed. Very cool.

My next NYE cruise will ring in 2016. I can't wait!

  13. My kids (13 and 11) have never felt sick and they've been cruising for 6 years now.

If your kids can swallow capsules, you can get Ginger capsules in the vitamin section of any drug store or Walmart. They are all natural and help with motion sickness. My ex husband really was prone to motion sickness and he tried lots of different things. The ginger is what worked for him and it's safe for kids and there are no side effects.

  14. We booked a ship's excursion private island beach break and we tendered directly from the ship to the private island and then directly back to the ship. It was awesome! It was beautiful and one of my favorite beach breaks.

  15. I divorced last fall but my ex and I both had this letter notarized for travel. I have the same last name as my two children (13 and 10) and we each have passports. We flew from Houston to San Juan and boarded in San Juan. No one asked for the letter but I won't ever travel without it.
