  1. It really depends on what you are looking to do... PB for active fun, ie water toys, kayaks, snorkleing, etc

Nachi is a great AI with a pool and pool bar, quiet beach, but you will not find all the water toys there.. not as "active"

We had fun at both but it was what we were looking for each time..

Couldn't agree more. If you want the water toys, crowds, etc... Paradise Beach. If you want to chill by a beautiful beach, Nachi Cocum.

  2. Thanks for all the replies! I especially enjoyed the butt cheek one :D

I guess my question was more for my 3 boys but as a woman, it is a bit harder to carry if I only have on a bathingsuit and a wrap (you men are lucky with your velcro pockets in your bathing suits!).

So is the Seapass card and the room key the same size? Both credit card sized? For those who use lanyards....which kind do you prefer...the one with a clear pouch or do you just hole punch the cards and attach directly to the lanyard? Would the room key still work if it's hole punched?

The seapass card IS the room key, credit card sized. And yes, it would work if still punched. Under age kids have holes punched in already to identify them as minors.

  3. If I were a single mom traveling with three boys, I'd keep all their cards with mine, since I'm assuming you will all stick together on excursions. Deal them out when getting on/off the ship, and gather them back up. It's up to you whether or not you put it in your bag, or wear a lanyard, just do whatever makes you the most comfortable taking care of your gang!:)

  4. I just sent my request in for reservations. I expect that they will contact me (if there is availablity) and then I pay my deposit. Do I have that right?

Yes, and then you pay the balance in cash the day you are there.:) We'll be there next Saturday!

  5. I believe the poster meant "suite" but forgot the "e".

    I know...that's why I winked!:D

Freedom has both a concierge lounge and a diamond lounge. The diamond lounge is behind Olive and Twist on Deck 14(?). Sorry, they ask that you not remove any glassware or drinks from the lounge. You are welcome to enjoy your beverages and hor d'oeuvres only in the lounge.

Thanks for the reply...I'll just purchase a latte if my balcony is where I want to be. But I'm sure we will enjoy the lounge as well:)

  6. Unless you are in a suit you will be using the Diamond Club located on deck 14. Your DC key will also get you into the ice show. Enjoy :)

    Do I really have to wear a suit?:D ;)

Is the CL and the Diamond Club different? I thought that all Diamond/Diamond Plus members can use the CL whether or not they are in a suite. (We're in a JS...I know that doesn't count as a suite)

  7. I received an email and this is part of it:

  8. I would not worry to much if DH is healthy and ok. I am an overweight, have arthritis and I did the body surfing with no problems at all. When you fall off, you bounce of the back a little bit, but I didn't even get a bruise or anything. It might be that the surfing where you stand up could cause more problems if you fall and twist something, but as said it is very cushioned and lots of water. I would not worry to much.

    Thanks for the info:)

Check out this video on the Flowrider!

Great video...the staff makes it look so easy!

  9. How risky is the Flowrider? DH wants to do this (he's 49 and fit) but I keep picturing him hobbling around the ship on crutches, with me doing everything for him:eek:

He says he's not going to stand, just do the boogey board thing...but I know him better than that! (He has bungey corded, and jumped out of planes numerous times)

Am I going to be an orthopedic nurse on my anniversary cruise???

  10. This may be a stupid question! But I am looking to book a D1 or JS on the Freedom for 2009. I see the symbol beside some of the staterooms that indicates it has a sofa bed. If a stateroom does not have this symbol - does it mean that it has no sofa at all or just not a sofa bed?? Thanks!

A note on the difference between D1 and a JS....the D1s have the bed near the balcony door, and the JS has the sitting area near the balcony door. I like the JS layout much better, because you can relax on the sofa and see the ocean, not the bathroom! Just an point that might matter to you!

  11. We are on that same sailing, Caribe...and it can't come soon enough! We're in a JS on the 9th deck and I doubt I'll go on the FlowRider, but you never know!

The one thing I like about the newer ships, including some of the Voyager class, is the balcony glass that goes from the rail to the deck floor. Our last cruise was on the Adventure, and you felt boxed in from all the steel. I am literally having dreams about sitting on my balcony with my glass of Chardonnay!:)

  12. No. At this point, it is too close to sailing date, 31 days. So, I would have to pay in full. I am going to call tomorrow morning to see if they can expedite the transfer to the TA. At that point, maybe I can at least find out how much more I have to pay for the cabin. I am just so anxious. It is not just the last quad balcony, it is the last quad cabin...period. I will just cry if I can't change rooms.

Just do all you can and try not to get crazy (that is really funny coming from me!!) Keep plugging and know that the bottom line is that you will be on an amazing ship and somehow it will work out (kids next door or not!):)

Hope to hear good news from you tomorrow!

  13. BTW, has anyone stayed in JS 9644? It's not quite mid hump, toward the aft...would've rather got 9638 (or 9338) facing more toward the front...anybody have any opinions about this cabin?

Not that I'm complaining...! It's just a bigggg anniversary for us and I want to make sure it's as good as I can get it... and yes I do check for those other cabins every day:)
