How many gamblers are onboard with free or heavily discounted cabins?   This could be the reason for shorts and flip flops in the Dining Rooms at dinner.   I have never experienced this state of undress so have they lost all their money/clothing allowances on gambling?   Does Celebrity offer counseling for gambling addicts?   I know the casinos offer this in the states.

    You can't be serious....

Have an email from HAL this morning with "important information" about my 11/14 sailing.  Unfortunately, the attachment won't open.

Logged in to my account and, of course, everything is there and looks fine, but we know it often takes the website a while to catch up with reality.

I've posted in the Roll Call to see if anyone can open the attachment, but there's very little activity.  Sort of surprising, given this is supposed to be the first sailing from the U.S.

If it is the same email I received this AM, it is just advising (reminding) passengers that Visa's are required for certain passengers from certain countries....a generic reminder...

Two of us booked with casino free cabin offer.  We paid extra to move to a Neptune and they would not let us buy Club Orange (said we already got it).  Friend had free verandah and they were able to purchase CO and got a great upgrade to a VA cabin on deck 7.

My experience also...We have free casino offer and we were able to purchase CO...

Thanks for starting this thread - it's just what I was looking for.

My partner and I are on the verge of booking on HAL for the first time. We've sailed twice each on Princess, Norwegian and MSC. And we're thinking the overall vibe will be more like MSC or a little bit of Princess, not as action packed as NCL.

Quick question - is there a daily listing (printed or via the app) that details when/where the meetings are held along with other activities? Also curious - since this is 2021, are they actually still called Friends of Dorothy and not LGBTQ, etc.?!

    THANKS!

It will be in the Daily Program...but don't remember what title they use....

  5. I am basing it on the email I received from Princess informing me I had until July 25(?) to purchase Princess Platinum coverage on my future cruises I have booked. It further stated I would no longer be able to purchase the Platinum coverage after that date due to being a resident of NY.

I am assuming similar rules would apply at HAL....HTH

Yikes!  We bought the Platinum plan when we booked last March.  I just called HAL and was told that it is a new policy from NY State.  I'm waiting to hear if I get my plan premium refunded.  I was referred back to my TA to handle cancelling the Platinum protection but HAL will allow it to be cancelled.

As long as you purchased before mid July, your policy remains in effect. It is only for new policies issued after mid July.....

Just curious if anyone has experienced being on time to an early flight out of SEA (11:15 AM) on disembarkation day from the port (cruising HAL).  We plan to use the port valet luggage service and hopefully can just walk off the ship as early as possible.  Ship is scheduled to arrive at 7:00 according to our itinerary.  It seems it should be doable on a Saturday in late August.  Right?

You might be able to, but it may be too early of a flt. for luggage valet service...
