We are visiting Apia next year and wondered if it is easy to get taxis at the port to take us to Robert Louis Stevenson’s house and bring us back. Also is there much to do in Apia or should we consider a tour of the island?

That’s good to know. It will be the longest journey on the smallest ship we have ever cruised with.

@Sthrngary thank you for your very detailed “word salad”. I have really enjoyed following your thoughts on your first O cruise as we will be doing our first in March next year. Hoping the experience on Regatta is as good as your Riviera cruise. Happy cruising!

I have also been to Argostoli. The town is small but there are lots of shops in a street just back from the waterfront. There are also lovely bakeries and tavernas on the water front. There is a small lagoon to walk around where you might see turtles. It is a short taxi ride to nearby beaches and you can also visit the memorial to the Italian solders slain in WW2 (subject of Captain Corelli’s Mandolin).
