The specialty restaurants are usually set menus, you can see them on the RCL site. Treat yourself!

Exactly, I love that rocking when I go to sleep. Was on Oasis last year and felt nothing, nada. Was disappointed.

Weird question, I know. But I do enjoy feeling the movement of the ship when I am aboard. With the advent of azipods and stabilizers I don't notice the motion of the ship as much, which I guess is the point. But I'm wondering if any of RCL's ships are known for more movement or sense of movement? :p

Loving this report! My main complaint about trip report is that there aren't enough pictures, can't make that complaint here! Looking forward to more, thank you so much for taking your time to do this for us!!

Subject pretty much says it all. I just booked the October 22 voyage of the Liberty. Only have deposit down presently. When will the shows, specialty restaurants, etc. be open to me to make reservations? How far out is ideal to book these? Anything on this ship I shouldn't (or even should) miss? Thanks!!

Wow, this makes me livid for you and the others who are going through this situation. I hope it turns out alright for you!!

Go from Europe to US. Your days will be 25 hours long!

Leaving on Oasis in 3 weeks
My wife is a big fish eater.
We were questioning where does RCCL get the fish. Hopefully NOT from China. Any info appreciated
 Do you mean your wife is big, and she eats fish? Do you mean your wife only eats big fish? Or your wife is big on eating fish?
I kid, I kid. They get their fish mostly from fish farms in the US and Canada.

Great review! Considering Liberty in October, this was very helpful. :-)

it's not because it's '666' is it? that would be ridiculous.

Thinking of doing the Anthem in October as it fits in nicely with my kid's fall break. (yeah, yeah, we never had that when we were kids) But I am a little unsure if this itinerary is even worth it. Having family in Florida that we visit fairly frequently Port Canaveral doesn't seem like a great port to stop in. Am I wrong about that? On first thought it just doesn't seem too exotic or exciting. Coco Cay is great for a beach day. Nassau seems to be the only stop with any sort of intrigue. I am interested in the ship itself but three sea days seems like a tad much. But again, I could be wrong. I'd be interested in knowing what the consensus is on this cruise. Is the ship the main attraction? And just as an aside, why did RCL choose to sail out of NY where the weather may not be that conducive to that first and last sea day, not to mention the travel of the distance to and from the Caribbean takes the opportunity away for an additional port day. Thanks so much!

Is this normal? You're getting off tomorrow or the day after tomorrow?

Hello, I am looking in to booking The Anthem and I noticed, monitoring the cabin maps online, that cabin 13562 and the cabins directly below, seem to be constantly available. To me, it looks like these would be the first to go so I am wondering if people are avoiding them for some reason? The maps make it seem as though the balconies are extra large so I don't get when these wouldn't be the first to be booked, unless there is another reason for this. Thank you in advance and happy cruising!

What a terrific review! Thank you so much for taking the time to post. I watched your youtube tour of the cabin. Are you planning on posting any more video from around the ship? Again, thanks for writing this up!

After cruising on the Oasis last year, I have to say that 'S' class is pretty much as big as I want to go.

They won't be cruising until 2020. I've seen some renderings of the proposed ship and it looks very innovative. But, in one set of drawings, it sure seems that Virgin Cruises will be a class system. There's some pictures of how each deck is laid out and there sure seems to be a lot of places designated as "First Class Only", which includes pools, lounges and even entertainment areas. I'm not sure if that kind of thing is a good idea. Some people here on Celebrity's board complain about the perks for suites, and claim that they don't like the perceived class system on Celebrity ships, so I'm not so sure that people would like a lot more of a class system on Virgin ships.
Just about every line does this in one form another. I'm ok with it, more room for us down in steerage!!:D:D

TBH, I had no idea Virgin had a train system. So wish they would do that here!!

I am afraid I do not share your admiration for the Virgin brand. I know many do but I cannot understand why. Virgin Trains have a dreadful reputation here.
Virgin Trains managed to sell me not only tickets but also seats on trains that did not exist a few months ago. When Virgin took over our cable TV [originally Cable and Wireless] the customer service was dreadful. And on our only [return] flights with Virgin not one crew member smiled at us from check-in to landing.
I am afraid any company that fails three times does not get another chance with us.
Stateside Virgin doesn't have quite the hold across many industries as it seems to over there across the pond. Here we have the airlines of course. And a lot of press releases about Virgin Galactic. No trains, no cable. At least not under the 'Virgin' brand.
Anthem - Different deck plans for different dates???

Could be chartered then. I couldn't imagine a new ship going in to dry dock, but I could be wrong...
