  1. I had a rough 24 hours… husband not as bad. I had been asking from our 1st medical visit for ibuprofin and finally got. Really helped, acetaminophen they gave me in the NyQuil wasn’t effective for me- highest temp so far 102.7.Their dr said what they have seen from COVID lately was like a severe cold, which seems true but I was pretty miserable. All medical is free for this, they gave me a thermometer and pulse ox too.The food they’ve been sending has been decent and meh at times. My taste and smell is fine. There’s no outbreak per our guest relations person. Neither my son nor our friend wanted to pick us up. Haha. We then figured out both of them could drive to port and drop our car to us. Celebrity rep said they are getting car service for us lepers and we leave via different gangway. We were sent a really nice letter w options, technically we coulda stayed on next cruise to issue late or go to hotel. We will get a credit for our days of isolation and I asked for our 379 ish $ in non refundable could be made refundable since I can go shopping or to casino to spend it. I had packed one bag as I went so just my big one has to get stuffed. husbands gonna try to get me a latte right now. Been drinking Coke… I always do when I’m sick. I am sorry if this post is a little disjointed, but felt I should update celebrity is taking good care of us. it was cool to finally see what medical looked like on a ship. They have quite the set up. The nurse laughed when I walked in, she said she knew I was a nurse from the way I walked in. Cute. b in isolation at sea!
  2. I wish… we are both PCR positive. Mind you I worked thru the pandemic, have traveled all over, flown a few times, Disney twice, and we are VERY mindful of hygiene on board…pack your home tests! We are missing chic night dinner. Good thing we have books to read…
  3. Wow, we’re down in medical waiting on PCR’s b at sea
  4. It’s on the other side of the island. You take ferry to st George- you can use Bermuda bus but for 14$ it was a quicker ac’ed ride. You get free maps from visitor center and ferry tokens, bus fare or all day transportation passes. Today we went into Hamilton & helped their economy recover & our wallet lighten. We used ferry tokens 4.50 each way. Mon the way back to the dockyard we were on the very old Bermudian ferry- swear it took longer than going dockyard to St George would take. Norwegian Joy just left- we are on our balcony waiting for sailaway… b at Sea
  5. My husband saw a guy using the self service pizza tongs and put them on the pizza plate instead of the dish it had been placed on. Each day we return we’ve gone to buffet and end up eating pizza as the food was less than appetizing. I tried chicken aka king over rice and ate little of it. the second silent disco on deck 11 for suite guests was last night, I don’t remember separate discos for suite guests on our last Summit cruise before the pandemic .I used to alway run down to cafe for our morning tea and coffee, but to get it earlier cause we are up so early- the butler has been bringing it., here’s a pic from our cabin when the coffee & tea arrived. I swear the lights twinkled, I know I’m delusional. Haha b at sea
  6. Thank you, sometimes we forget to “look up” I love looking for unique cloud formations. Then there’s flowers below to admire. btw. When going to ferry there used to be two different lines at two different dock areas. There used to be signage. No more. It was one line and when the Hamilton ferry passengers had to board- us St George bound let them pass… we always love being on the top deck for the breezes and views. b at sea ps Nothing better than coming back to the cabin & the bed is all in perfect order. , that’s why I shared that pic. love being so spoiled. Booking our next cruise tomorrow after sailaway. Also, I checked all the dailies. No karaoke - maybe it was stopped for COVID and not restarted yet. Regarding St George Ferry- it lists dates of operation. I’ve uploaded my crumpled schedule. It does not go to St George tomorrow- so our only ferry choice is Hamilton. Our cab driver back to the ferry from Clearwater warned us against gypsy drivers as they can be uninsured. Fare was under 19$ for the 4 of us. Good AC too!
  7. Restroom very clean, you can rent chairs & umbrella. There’s a food truck w a bar area that has reopened. We had brought beach sheet to lay on. One area was quite rocky, but not the entire beach. I walked one end to the other. The water was super calm. You can walk from Clearwater to Cooper Nature Preserve- no amenities- but a few more beautiful beaches. Our dinner mates made it there. & said it was beautiful. Dinner was delicious at Luminae, we’re skipping magician show tonight. b at sea
  8. I don’t see anything on the app, I’ll check the dailies when we get back to our suite. we ferried to St. George- the Carnival ship left earlu afternoon. We were going to repeat a long walk we have done from center of St George but around by Alexandria Bay battery and the long walk to Tobacco Bay. It’s a nice long walk… but hubbies knee was bothering him so we hopped in a bus shuttle for 7$ each to Clearwater Beach. We could have walked into Coopers Island but just plopped dow, swam, and relaxed. On ship hungry, but had to eat pizza cause I didn’t like what they had out, even the desserts. b at sea
  9. We haven’t come across the Captain yet. Yesterday we ferried to Hamilton & shopped a bit- no beach Went to the Broadway revisited show. It was very pleasant. Just a handful wearing masks and I do mean hardly anyone. I’m sharing for the person who had asked. we did have to wear thru the little Bermuda dockside building for all of 3 seconds to walk thru. Also on lower level of ferry- I did notice ppl walking thru to go upstairs didn’t put on the mask as required. We did. We’ve docked at this wharf many times, this time the water is strikingly blue. This is my favorite photo so far. Maybe I’m just so grateful to be here & my memory is skewed… 🙂 St.George today. b at sea
  10. Last photo before breakfast & off the ship…
  11. Now there’s two ships following us in!
  12. For some reason, the video uploaded but not playing for me, hope y’all have better luck w it. it must have needed more time, the snippet I sent I can now view on CC.
  13. THIS is why we love cruising! Boy how we have missed just being… b at sea PS, there’s a Carnival ship following us into port. This video clip is a slowlyuploading. IMG_0446.MOV
  14. That was listed as something you could pre purchase - I believe it was listed under excursions. Suite guests were invited to a meet the cast of the production shows, our table mates at dinner went and enjoyed it. Since we skipped the show the other night, we “sat out” this experience. our coffee and tea were delivered & we have to get moving- cause we’re almost in Bermuda! b at sea
  15. I laughed when I saw I did that. I’m typing with one finger on my phone, so I try to catch the poo I post…..before I hit send…. b at sea
  16. Ok we never stayed at indoor pool- just walked thru. It was a sea of humanity. This is our 4th Summit Bermuda cruise- it’s never been so full of people. We went Up to sunset bar for drinks & pizza. Then took a nap before showering & dressing for dinner. We’ve got some sunburn today so we may wander into Hamilton tomorrow so we don’t enhance the burn. Dinner in Luminae was good. We went and got Cokes in Michaels Club before heading to the theatre for the 9 pm comedian. Although they were handing out masks at the door- I never saw a soul take one. Rare were the masks in the theatre. Since casino will be closed for next three days- I decided to burn some OBC. Walked out with all my money & won 151.00 The sanitizing wipes in casino & gym were barely moist. In the casino those dealing at the tables all wore masks. Staff working where you cash out were not. I’m only sharing for those who were interested. I’ve had three full vaxx and have a booster & worked thru the pandemic… it was weird when our mask mandate ended a few months ago- but I’m used to not wearing one now…I’ve only worn one when on mass transit at home. Rich the cruise director reminded us to take cruise card and photo government ID in Bermuda. He stated they are required to walk thru the terminal building (very quick to pass thru), bus, & ferry still require masks. Shops are owners preference. Gotta sleep! Coffee will be here at 6. We always buy transportation passes when we leave Bermuda- “ for our next trip” the all day passes do not expire till punched for the first time. When we get off the ship- we just get the day going, no standing in line for us to buy them. Our daughter bought us Bermuda masks from the post office in Hamilton when she & her fiancé sailed on Norwegian Joy this spring. A VERY useful souvenir nite all! b at sea
  17. Not many. In Luminae- 2 out of all that staff. Up here on retreat deck, there was one staff despite us being in super breezy huge winds. we’re headed to the indoor poo in a bit- I’ll see what they are doing regarding optional masks. BTW in the Bayonne terminal, didn’t see any staff wearing masks… b at sea
  18. My iPhone works great up there, it’s it’s on the premium wi fi it might be perfectly fine. b at sea I’m waiting at looooong line for cafe Al bacio after I stopped to enquirer about an ABC cruise. Already did gym and frozen mango daiquiri. So looking at cc helped pass the time.
  19. When you go down grand foyer staircase, go left. 5 Apple computers there. Oddly sanitizing wipes are by each station- but no trash can in the area. We did breakfast first. Seems with the time change, people slept in. We’re recovering from breakfast before heading to the gym. There nothing on our agenda for the day. I started a 420 page book yesterday & just finished it. Gonna hang out on the retreat deck later. b at sea
  20. I had a long post typed on my phone, but seems to have gone poof…I see they moved internet down to 3 from deck 6- so I’ll check it out after gym & breakfast. Yesterday we shared a dessert at lunch- Black Forest revisited, it was sooo good we asked to have it at dinner and they put two aside. We got our pressed clothing at 5:30, dressed quickly and went to retreat lounge to meet the officers, had drinks. My Hubbie had two Cosmos that hit him hard, we were kinda. We never got the usual pic, photographer never came to us nor in Luminae. Really odd. We skipped the show called Life as we’ve seen it, went to bed by 10. Trying to decide gym or breakfast first. My Garmin showed my lowest stress level in weeks. b at sea

  22. Haven’t wandered up to their Internet cafe- I’ll try to get there. Right now it’s 5:25 and we are waiting for our pressed clothing from laundry- we were assured it would be back by 5 today. We weren’t going to dress for chic night early- but plans changed when we got the invite to meet ships officers in the Retreat Lounge. btw. When we had watermelon in buffet, it was served to us. It wasn’t lunch yet. b at sea
  23. yes it was announced all staff are given the option if they WANT to wear mask or not. Both are acceptable. b at sea
