In addition to visiting the beaches these are other items we enjoy when we visit Barbados.
Your photos are great. Do you happen to have your posts in a Word or PDF format? If so, would you post a link please?

We will be taking a cruise called the Amazon Explorer and will visit ports in Brazil (Macapa, Santarem, Boca da Valeria, Manaus, Parintins, Alter do Chao, Belem) Has anyone visited these ports and can offer information on tour guides, must see, transportation from port to activity, etc.? Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.:)

I’m very sad to report that a dear friend and cruise critic member, Rev Smith recently passed away. I met Rev on the Roll Call boards a number of years ago, and we ended up becoming close friends, enjoying cruises together as well as trips to Disney for the Food and Wine Festival. Although Rev hadn’t cruised in a couple years, she was a Loyal to Royal, as well as a Pinnacle member. I’m grateful for having the chance to meet and know my dear friend Rev through these message boards.

Hi
What Rev's first name Rita?
-
Very sorry to hear this. I am part of Linda's group that sailed with Rev in 2006. My husband and I met her for lunch once when she was in Washington, DC. Deepest sympathy to her family.
Does anyone know the details who would be willing to share here?

I do not know you but I have been reading these posts. Deepest sympathy to you and yours.

on our past trips to Bangkok, we have always used an excellent tour guide named Rat. We are currently returning to Bangkok in June and would love to use her services again. She no longer responds to the email we had for her. Does anyone know how to contact Rat?
Hi - I was wondering if you were able to do a tour with Rat and if so, would you please provide contact info.

Hi - I contacted Zoom for a tour of Ho Chi Minh City on November 20, 2017. He told me there are 4 people from the Princess ship already signed up for the city tour. If you would like another couple join you, please let me know so that I may contact him to reserve our spot.

We had contacted Zoom about booking a tour for our cruise in November after reading the positive reviews. He recently informed us that his prices had been lowered after the initial quote he gave us. This seems like real service when he simply could have not said anything and made more money. I just wanted to post in case anyone was on the fence about using his company. Needless to say we are very excited for this tour.
Are you on a cruise ship? What day is your tour in November?

Thanks for a great review. We've done Avalon from Paris to Amsterdam, and we're booked for Nice to Paris this spring. I think you'll like their European product.
Hi
Which of the river cruise lines did you like best?

We used the Red Line yesterday. Picks up right by the cruise port. We took the bus to the Acropolis and then after that the City Tour. It took around 2 hours if you just stayed on (we did). Traffic was awful and it was very hot. Don't recommend you do the same as us. Get off and walk and then get back on. We were really sorry to see the city is almost covered with graffiti. Every road sign, wall, door, bridge and everything else was affected. It is a real shame because it does detract from the beauty of the city.
Thanks. We were thinking of staying on for the city tour of Piraeus since we will have had a guided tour in Athens.

Any suggestions what to do in Corfu? We will have taken a taxi tour but will visit the port again in August. Open to all suggestions.
-
If anyone has done anything in ALicante, would appreciate your suggestions. Thanks.

We used CitySightseeing on our port call to Piraeus in the fall of 2014. We got off our ship and walked approx. 100 yds to board the bus. We got off at the Acropolis stop, very easy. Citysightseeing had a table next to the bus at the pier to purchase tickets and answer any questions. Enjoy your trip!
Did you spend anytime in Piraeus? This will be our second visit to this port.

Anyone have any information on questions asked by SightCRR?

There are taxis available at the cruise terminal and there is a shuttle bus that will drop you at the Columbus monument (at the foot of Las Ramblas).
Here is a link to some info on the Barcelona ports:

Is this for Alicante too and not only Barcelona? Do you know the taxi cost for 2?

Hello
Looking to go to Mercado Central from the cruise port. What is the distance from the port? Is it walkable? Are there taxis or other means of transportation?
-
Hi - I have a ticket for this for next week (2 day stop in Athens on HAL Oosterdam). All reviews are very good, including the walking tours that included as part of the ticket, but I'd also be interested to hear from others who have used this. Of note, it's not entirely clear from their website, but I have confirmed with them by email - cruise ship passengers who buy a day ticket, can actually use it for 2 days.
Thanks!
We will be there in August. Please post what you think of it.

We did a great tour of the northern part of the island that included a Monastery. Excellent
What tour company did you use?

Has anyone used CitySightseeing Hop-on/Hop-Off bus in Piraeus and Athens? Pros and cons?
-
We have been there 4 times, taken various tours, rented cars. and probably done just about everything in the region. Bottom line is that Olympia is the only decent tourist attraction. With a rental car (or tour) you can visit the nearby winery (it sucks), go to a beach area (nothing great) or visit a nearby city such as Pyrgos (not worth the effort).

We were thinking of taking the city sightseeing Piraeus/Athens sightseeing bus. It's a hop on/hop off bus. Any thoughts on this? Would you recommend it: http://www.citysightseeing.gr/

Hi
We will visit this port twice during our cruise. We have booked a tour to Ancient Olympia the first time but are wondering what we can do in Katakolon the next time we are in port. Are there any "must sees" or things to do? It seems most of the most on here are relatively old.
Thanks in advance.

We were happy walking around Mykonos. Link to some pictures below
Is it easy to walk to the lighthouse?

Hi, my husband and I are going to be visiting Marseilles in October and I ran across a thread where you were looking for a private tour during your visit. Curious to know if you ended up with a private tour and whether you would recommend them.
Thanks,
Anna Marie
I did book a tour with this company and will let you know when I return on how it was.
Email me at obxcl328@gmail.com after August 18th

Hi
Most of the posts have said Mykonos is a DIY port. What did you use for transportation to say the lighthouse, Paraportiani Church, Ano Mera and Monastery of Panagia Tourliani?
