  1. we've booked two weeks on Azura from the 27th April 2023, saver fare. We've not received an email so just checked on the link, got this response:

This booking is not eligible for P&O Cruise Upgrade.

Unfortunately, your booking is not eligible for P&O Cruises Upgrade. If you become eligible for this booking, or any other, you will receive an invitation email.

Does anyone know why, is it because booked for two weeks or because a saver fare. As anyone else on this cruise received an upgrade offer?

  2. Can anyone recommend any hotels that do day passes, or boat trip with nice beach club, not too overcrowded.
we are on the celebrity constellation departing Jan 2nd 2023, overnight in Cartagena.
Only been to Columbia once before and went straight back to the ship due to the excessively aggressive vendors, so looking for something away from vendors.
    any help appreciated

  3.  We are cruising on Azura in October doing a back to back, so we have two days in Tenerife. We are looking to book a car for the two days to pick up in the port, and wondered if there is any parking available for when we get back to the ship, before we head out for the second day. Has anyone else done this, any advice gratefully received.

  4. We are looking at flying into MCO airport the day before a celebrity cruise from Tampa. Is there a shuttle available from MCO to Tampa? Do Celebrity cruise do a transfer after the cruise direct to MCO airport? Any help given much appreciated

  5. We are going to Cozumel in April and thinking of going to Playa Mia. We dont know whether to book just the beach break or the all inclusive with buffet lunch, there are 6 adults and three children ages 3, 5, and 7, we are not very likely to want much alcohol, maybe one each at most.

Does anyone have a copy of the a la carte menu or details of what is included in the buffet, also is the buffet just one visit, as the children seem to eat every couple of hours.

We will be booking through the Norwegian cruise line, as we have the $50 shore excursion credit, does anyone know if the cruise run their own transportation or if it is the same as if booked with playa mia direct? As there are 9 of us we are hoping for a large vehicle that we can all get on at the same time

Thank you for any help given

  6. We have also just reached Platinum on NCL and are looking forward to our next cruise in March. We are taking our children and grandchildren with us as it coincides with a big birthday.

Does anyone know if it is possible for us to give our free meal at Cagneys/Le Bistro and Moderno to our adult children to enjoy instead of us, as we have eaten at all of these restaurants before, but it would be a real treat for them.

I do know it says no transferable on the voucher but how rigid is this

    Any help please

    Many thanks

  7. We did a b2b on Norwegian Sky last year, tried hard to find out in advance what we needed to do. We visited guest services twice and we were told not to worry about it, our cabin steward would help us.

On the last night of the cruise we received a letter stating that we had to pack all our belongings, but to keep the cases inside the cabin on the last night and only to put them out in the morning. This letter arrived whilst we were out for dinner, so we did not actually see it until 10.30pm when we returned after the show. Fortunately I had taken the lack of instruction with a pinch of salt and had packed our cases anyway.

The next morning when the cabin steward knocked on our door to see if we had vacated yet, we told her again that we were B2B and she  was supposed to help us move our stuff. She looked horrified, and definitely would have had no intention of moving clothes on hangers from one room to another. We therefore put our cases outside the room and went to the meeting point.

This was very straight forward, we were all issued new cards and walked off and back onto the ship.

Then on the advise of another back to back cruiser we went and collected our own cases and walked them upto our new cabin, as they were still stood in the corridor where we had left them.

The cruise was fantastic and we would fully recommend doing the B2B, but would appreciate receiving the information as to what to do further in advance. They must have had a copy of the letter regarding B2B at guest services when we asked, but they did not give us any information.

Hope you enjoy your B2B, but be prepared, dont rely on your cabin steward.

  8. Hello,

We are bringing the extended family to florida next March and will require a 15 seater minibus. We will be travelling around as going to Disney and then cruising from Miami.

As anyone hired a minibus with 15 seats and does they have isofix points for the childrens seats, as we will have three children with us.

Many thanks for any help given

  9. Yes we did find a shaded spot. There are quite a few trees so we got chairs near there. We did go early to grab our seats, as there were two ships in on the day.

There was also an option on board to hire a clam shell covering two beds for around $40, sorry I cant remember the exact amount.

    Have a great holiday.

  10. Hi, We will be in great stirrup cay next week and wondered whether there were sun umbrellas to hire or any shade anywhere. Is there a certain better spot on the island to head for if you need shade.

Grateful for any info in advance has we havent been before and we are cruising with NCL and the only options to pre book on the excursions are villas or cabanas at mega bucks.4

  11. I read in cruise critic news that Carnival Cruise line is resuming visiting Freeport from Friday 11th October, when are Norwegian going to return. Our visit to Freeport has  been replaced with a sea day on our cruise at the end of October, we would far rather go to Freeport and boost the local economy, which I am sure is in need of the tourists return

  12. We are booked on the Norwegian Sun sailing 26th October 2019 which was due to call at Grand Bahama Island. Whilst we  have not received any formal notification of NCL yet, but have noticed that Grand Bahama has now been taken off our itinerary and been replaced by a day at sea. We had been expecting it, but still sad.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Bahamians.

  13. Does anyone know what cocktails and wine are included. I was going to take the premium package as one of our free at sea , but appears the only thing not really included is water, so probably don’t need it, perfectly happy with standard spirits, but like a Pinot with dinner and the occasional martini.

    Any help appreciated

  14. Don't book it, it is dreadful, the worst excursion we have ever been on.  I've copied my posting of the Costa Maya Beach break.

Do not book the Costa maya beach break with royal carribean, we were there today and it is quite honestly the worst excursion we have ever done in thirty odd cruises.

The whole place is made of shipping containers, toilets, bar, food service area.

The beach itself is ok, but you cannot walk in the sea, it is rocky and as the water is s murky brown for the first few metres you cannot see where to stand.

If you just want to sit on the beach and drink out of small plastic cups, this is for you. Otherwise avoid, we  set off at 10 am and we’re waiting for taxi back to ship at 1pm, 20 minutes wait.

We really tried to make the best of it as it was our last beach day, but couldn’t get in the sea, so rather than waste the day went back to the ship.

There was no pool, although I thought I had read there was when booking, the beach was called bamba beach

  15. we were well past the light house about 15 minute drive past. Can’t be more specific as we were on the party bus with blocked out sides so going couldn’t tell where we were heading, but saw the light house on the way back, tour was no cm05,

We asked several times whether we were in the right place as we wouldn’t book a party bus, prefer the quiet beach life

  17. I emailed divi resort as we’ll be there at the end of October and got the following response:

We do not charge a fee for day use at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort. The beach is open to public access as well as the restaurants and water sports department. The beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent daily at the activities hut. The cost is $5.00 for each item. Only guests staying at the resort are allowed to use the pools and hot tubs. Please be sure to "check-in" with the Front Desk upon arrival at the resort.

    Hope this helps
