  1. Went to Cabo in March (Mexico trip by air). Yes, huge amounts of tourists from the USA and yes, I would think it is their widespread presence there that drives up the prices. $550 per night in several of the 5 star resorts there. For context, minimum wage in Mexico is $150 per month. And as far as we're concerned, cruising is not that expensive if you take into account what some things cost on land. As my wife pointed out to me earlier today, if you take the cost of our post-cruise meal deliveries for lunch and dinner yesterday and compare that to the daily cost of cruising, you end up with very similar numbers.
  2. I bought CCL at $21 in 2020. My thinking right now is to DCA a few more over the coming months. My banker warned me not to buy in April 2020 as he thought that bankruptcy was a possibility. At that time, it was $8. It has since gone to $30 and come back down to $13.5. It could go down a little further, but I don't expect it to go below the previous low at $8 since a similar level of restrictions as back in April 2020 is highly unlikely. IMHO the time to start DCAing CCL is in the coming weeks
  3. Not a pro, but if unless you sell, you won't have to book a loss, just like you're saying. However, the same holds true for theoretical gains. If you don't sell, there's no profit. IMHO, it's best to hold cash for the time being and DCA in the current (and probably coming) bear market.
