If you list the ports, it will be easier for people to make recommendations

As Regatta is a smaller ship, the ability to craft special meals for a few passengers will be very limited.   I have seen very few vegans  sail with O.

We sailed with O on Regatta in 2018 I am strict vegetarian and have an allergy to mushrooms and do not eat whole eggs, or things like quiche, they could not do enough for me, I was asked to choose from the main menu or veggie/vegan but they were happy to change things and even let me change my mind at last minute on more than one occasion, just let them know the speciality restaurants also catered for me very well.  Hope this policy has not changed as sailing with them again march 2021.

Booked a cruise we wanted in 2021 and were just advised it will not go. Private booking has taken over the Journey so the Quest now has to move things and shorten cruises.

So disappointing and are now looking to other cruise lines for the same trip.

We are concerned booking with Oceania for a long cruise as the last few we have done have been with AZ and we love the relaxed atmosphere, but sadly no cruise we have not taken in the time frame we have available.

Anyone with experience on both lines if you could give us feedback it would be appreciated.

I have travelled with Azamara but not for a while, our first time was not good, but we are giving them a second chance next year, we travelled with oceania last year and we could not fault it, only reason we are going to A next year it was going to more ports of call. Oceania was fun during the day with lots going on if you wanted to join in, fantastic food, the best we have ever had on a cruise and all the staff were amazing. Hope this helps.

  6. I find it interesting that people from different countries seem to have different info, the Feb 8th sailing we only found out a short while ago it would be Wellington, never a suggestion of anything else, even when we booked about 16 months ago.

I look regularly at calendar as some of the timings have changed for when we dock/depart as we have nearly all private tours arranged, much much cheaper than Azamara and seem well organised, just waiting on one confirmation for shuttle to Dunedin railway station and white water rafting and all booked!!

We were going to do the winery and lunch, with ship tour,  until we found out lunch was 10.30/11 am, no thanks, booked a private tour for 4 hours half the price of ship tour.

Looking forward to being in NZ and visiting Tassie, look forward to meeting you all. xx
