Last night’s show was the impressionist, Paul Boland. He was alright but we got stuck sitting behind a couple that wouldn’t stop loudly talking, so we left early.
That drives us mad, if you want to chat, find a bar, if you're in the theatre show some respect and watch the show. Sorry, rant over.....

Thanks all. To be honest, still not 100% sure on Marella. For every good review I read, I see another saying it’s like a Butlin’s holiday camp where the buffets are more like a cafeteria.
Can get 7 day celebrity around same time and similar ports with drinks and tips for a lot less than £2.9k. When adding in flights, brings it online with Marella. I assume the Celebrity experience is a step above Marella.
We've cruised both Marella and Celebrity, in our view the food was better on Celebrity, evening buffet on Marella was poor, service similar on both, entertainment was better on Marella. Other major difference was the makeup of the passengers, Marella mainly British, Celebrity much greater mix of nationalities. We happily go on either but for us Celebrity shades it, especially if the prices are similar.

They were towards the end, but Laura didn’t give straight answers:
eg Will you bring another ship to Southampton- no ‘yes or no’ but talked around the subject of planning etc.
Sadly we can read into that, no, we won't put a second ship in Southampton, we'll have more ships repeating the same intineries in the Caribbean. And as for future upgrades to M class ships, no chance.

You can as the 2 device package allows 2 devices to be logged on at the same time, they both use the same log in details

We have booked a Caribbean cruise in January 2025 on Explorer of the seas based on itinerary, but are having second thoughts based on reviews. Any insight would be appreciated.
We've been on Explorer twice, most recently this September. We loved her and her crew, the only thing we felt could be improved was my time dining, wasn't as slick as it should of been.
We'd travel on her again in a heartbeat.

We're on Infinity in a few weeks, keen to hear what you think of her. We can't wait, it's our first time on a Millennium class ship.

Sad that as most other cruise lines seem to be increasing their UK presence RCL seem to be taking a step backwards.

Last time I looked, there appears to be a week missing from the 2023 itinerary - 31stOct to 7th Nov unless I missed it somewhere
you'd need more than a week to do cabin refurbs, my money's on the 16th Oct- 6th Nov 24 window.

Just a polite reminder that an ESTA is valid for 2 years not just the one entry i.e. if you are going on a US holiday or through the US before it several times before it expires. Just remember to to update the details online for your next trip 🙂 .
I know a lot of people know this already but I just helped some friends who didn't and were about to buy new ones!
Also, if you renew your passport you have to renew the ESTA, it's only valid against the passport you have when you buy it.

Every year people say the same thing and every year Royal releases in the fall. 🤷♂️
And every year we live in hope 🤞

A number of cruise lines are already releasing their 2025 summer and autumn sailings, you'd think Royal would do the same rather than waiting until November.

Feel Marella are missing a trick here, there are a lot of Marella cruisers who'd rather not fly, perhaps if the Marella fleet continues to grow they may deploy a ship sailing from the UK in the future, we can only hope.

I did a speed test while on Vision 3 weeks ago, the ip address confirmed it was using Starlink. The speed was quite good, however there were still some blackspots in the cabin (can't blame Starlink for that)

Cheap and tacky, the value of the original design blocks is sure to increase on EBay.

Hi,
can anyone who has recently sailed on Explorer let us know if any port information is provided on board by Marella, or do we need to print out maps etc before we join the ship. We prefer to DIY rather than use organised excursions. Many thanks.
The cruise news tells you how long it takes to walk into town from the port and that's about it. There was some information when you got off the ship in some ports but not in all of them.

Not certain but I think one of the Explorers is featured on channel 5 next Friday with Susan Calman. 😊
It looked like Explorer 2 in the preview clip, looking forward to it

Glad you got it sorted.
Claim paid today, definately FB messenger is the quickest way to get a response from TUI.

All,
Did get in contact via FB and they have processed my claim manually, now just need to keep an eye on the bank account and hopefully see the funds paid in.
As @howmuch! suggested they did repond quite quickly.

All,
Hoping someone has successfully managed to claim for a delayed flight using the online TUI form.
I think I'm inputting the correct info, quoting the Marella booking reference, stating I booked online using a TUI/Firstchoice website. I've not included our middle names as they don't appear on the booking confirmation but I've been rejected twice. Of course there's no way to speak to anyone and I just get the message saying we couldn't locate you in our delay system.
So if anyone has been through this loop can you clarify, did you say you'd booked online via TUI, did you include middle names?
Any help much appreciated.

Just returned from a week on Explorer, Main Dining room was a miss on both nights we tried it. Vista and Tapas were excellent, buffet was a non event, only 5 main dishes to choose from in the evening, breakfast was however excellent.

When we visited it was the Cuban Convertable Peso, you can only get it in Cuba.

If you both people in the cabin own 100 shares each can you both claim, or is it only 1 claim per cabin?
