  1. We went on the Dream last Labor Day, which was the first we'd been on since 2016. We didn't have to take our life jackets, and we actually mustered in the theater. I believe several muster stations are inside now, so maybe there were more people, but they were in dining rooms, etc. We leave on the Valor this Saturday and are not at all concerned. Just keeping our hands washed and watching out for others.
  2. I'm a rum and diet Coke lover too. But, diet Pepsi isn't too bad...especially when you get to the third one!
  3. I could not care less what the State Department "urges." We leave in 4 days on the Carnival Valor!
  4. 7 of us leaving on the Valor this Saturday from NOLA. As far as I know, none of them are canceling.
  5. We leave from NOLA on 3/14. Got the email this morning and will be taking advantage of that $150 OBC! Great move, Carnival!

    Can't decide

We went to Paradise Beach last September and are going to Sancho's over Spring Break. Paradise was very laid back, food and drinks were great. We had our 4 yr old grandson with us then and he loved the pool. Service was wonderful! I've heard Sancho's is a bit more active, and since this is a girls' trip with 7 of us going, we decided to try it. Just pick one and go with it!
  7. Checking back in to see if anyone has been here. We're looking forward to our trip in 17 days!
  8. One overhead and the couch becomes a bed. We sailed last Labor Day with oldest daughter and 4yo grandson. Grandson loved the upper bunk!
  9. Not sure of the rules in Alabama, as we haven't sailed from there. But, in Texas, you are not allowed to use the Cheers package on the first day of the cruise. We're doing a 5 night for Spring Break...out of NOLA.
  10. Two adults and three kids? What are the ages? I've known folks who did a balcony for the adults and inside room across the hall for the kids, depending on the age/responsibility of the kids of course. Five in one room would be tight, imho.
  11. Hey folks! Group of 7 on an upcoming girls' trip on the Carnival Valor. We have booked a tour with Autoprogreso to go to Silcer Beach Club on our stop in Progreso. Anyone been? Thanks!
  12. We didn't see any vendors while we were there. They have a small souvenir shop, but nothing pushy. We're going on the Valor out of NOLA in March for Spring Break and already decided to go back to Paradise. Hope y'all have a great time!
  13. Paradise Beach was great! Service was wonderful, everything was nice and clean. Good food and drinks, no pushy vendors selling trinkets on the beach. Water toys were fun, even though the 4-year old was scared at first. Lots of shade, as 3 of the 4 of us burn easily. We're planning another short cruise for Spring Break and plan to go back when we stop in Cozumel. I highly recommend!
