Many thanks for the info. Mrbill

The Nikon lens mount has a shorter mount to sensor distance than the Canon EOS mount and a smaller diameter. No adapter is available for mounting Canon lens on a Nikon.
Sorry...
Dave, Thanks for the info

Does anyone knows if they make or have a adapter that you can use a canon lens on a Nikon D-3200 ? The reason I ask is my son has a canon lens which I love to have but I have a Nikon camera. Thanks for the feed back.

FYI: I was trying to book 5 hotel rooms for our April NCL cruise from LA/San Pedro. Three of the 4 were booked for April 12th.
Pat
Try Doubletree hotel in Carson . They do have free shuttle to and from the cruise pier. Were staying there in Feb before our cruise. They have free parking, full breakfast plus the parking with the cruise pkg.
-
Will do. How long does it take to get to the terminal from this hotel.
I think about 20 min. When you check in tell the desk you need to sign up to go to the cruise pier.
-
I like the looks of this hotel. I booked it, total $191.
I think you made a good choice. Make sure you get the telephone number to call when you return from your cruise.
-
I booked this place, but my friend concerned no covered parking.
What cruise are you taking? Does your friend have car cover? We never had any trouble with our car being park at the hotel.

Any suggestions on hotels that will keep our car for the week we are gone. We aren't picky. Cheap works for us.
Were staying at the Doubletree at Carson. For the room ,free parking, Full breakfast ,shuttle to the pier and pick up when you return I think were paying about $165.00 plus tax. This will be our fourth time staying there. Very nice hotel, and they give you free cookies and drink voucher. Hope this helps.

Your review was just O.K. ONLY KIDDING, It was one of best I read. You must of spend hours doing it. AGAIN GREAT JOB.

Hate to tell you' date=' but Carson is in an industrial area.[/quote']
We know, we stayed at this hotel 2 years ago, I wanted to be closer to long beach but I think this is our best bet.
-
Want to thank you for the info about the Bestwestern.I called doubletree in long beach and they gave me a price of $ 254.00 for the park& cruise pkg, too much. Called doubletree in Carson and there price for cruise pkg was $171.00 plus tax. We booked it. Thank's again.

Worse. Ugly surroundings. Busy traffic. Metro train goes right by the hotel. Muffler shop next door. Not a great neighborhood.
Do yourself a favor. Don't look for extreme bargains in Long Beach. Stick to these hotels:
Hyatt, Westin, Renaissance or Hyatt at the Pike...Hilton, Maya Doubletree, or Residence Inn Downtown...If you really want a Best Western, the Best Western on First Street is much better located.
If you need parking for the cruise, contact the Maya Doubletree or the Hilton and ask for a "Carnival" rate that includes parking for the week.
You will be SO MUCH HAPPIER staying in one of these hotels. Start off your cruise vacation right...with a nice hotel in a good neighborhood...
It is well worth spending a few dollars more...
Thanks for the info

If it's on Friday or Saturday, yes it's bad. Feels like a club in Oakland.
How about the bestwestern hotel on Long Beach Blvd? any better than golden sail?
-
The golden sails is also a hip hop club on the weekends. Lots of urban gangbanger types. And yes, I lived in Long Beach for 15 years.
Is It that bad for a one night stay?
-
Mike,Great review and great pictures. What lens do you use on your Nikon? the pictures are sharp and clear. Job well done. mrbill Tracy Ca

Cruising out of Long Beach in April and am looking at staying at Best Western Golden Sails for night before and wonder if anyone has stayed here and can offer their opinion of using this for night before our cruise. Thank you.
We booked this hotel for our upcoming cruise in Feb. $150.00 for the room, full breakfast, parking for 1 week, shuttle to the pier and back to the hotel when you return. For the price I think it's a good deal, and i think you cant go wrong.
-
They will only book so many rooms under the Carnival Corp code. Once they hit there limit, the price will be much higher. It just depends on when you sail. Try calling them and ask about a cruising special. We did one time and got a room that someone had canceled.
How do you get the Carnival code?
-
I got the balcony waterview rooms at the Maya for $119 with the Carnival code
Hi,How do you use the carnival code and where do you get the code.I tried the corporate code from post 13 and I got a price of $213.00.Thank's for your help.
-
The code to book online is 0560018220. You enter this into the Corporate Code box. The Carnival Rate will come up but it may not be the same rate as others depending on when you book.
Thank's for the info. This should help.

LOL...we made that mistake several years back on a last minute cruise. You are kind with your words.
The last 4 times we cruised from Long Beach we have stayed at the Maya 3 times and the Hilton once. Got the Hilton on Hotwire for $70... Not a bad rate but parking is $17 per night. We used the Carnival rate for the Maya, $119, which included shuttle and 7 day's parking.
How did you get a carnival rate for the Maya hotel for $119.00? Were taking a cruise in Feb 2014 and the price for the Maya is about $200.00 plus tax and fees.
