  1. Has anyone done an airport transfer excursion with a transportable mobility scooter?

We are traveling from Southampton to Heathrow and have booked a Princess excursion to take us to Windsor before heading to the airport. I am assuming that these excursions are done with a large bus where luggage would go underneath. If that is the case I would believe that I would have no issue getting my mobility scooter under the bus as well as it is able to be broken down in to smaller pieces if necessary. Does anyone have any experiences with this kind of booking? We will continue to have data access while in Europe so if we end up needing to book something different after talking to the excursion desk it wouldn't be the end of the world but I am hoping I can get an idea before arrival.

We are now researching to try to find a decent noise ma home that makes a fan noise as well. Never tried one but think for an Alaska trip from east coast tough to bring our own fan.

We are trying a Venty - it is a collapsible fan that weighs less than 3 pounds and can run for 48 hours straight. They're a little pricy but we will use it anytime we are away from home.

  3. Our Cruise packing list contains:

    • A Packable Fan to keep the air moving in the room
    • Digital Hygrometer and Thermometer so I can tell if I truly am hot or just crazy
    • Collapsible Clothing Hangers because there are never enough in the room
    • Magnetic Hooks to hang literally everything
    • Over-The-Door Shoe Organizer that does not go over the door but is hooked to the ceiling to keep small things organized
    • Bungee Clothesline to dry bathing suits in the room rather than the bathroom
    • Magnetic Door Decorations so we can find our door (including a photo of my adorable fur baby, she is too cute to keep to myself)
    • Pen, Sharpie, and Highlighter
    • Postcard Stamps if we will be in US ports
    • Clothes Hamper to corral the dirties
    • Covid Tests, DayQuil, NyQuil, Cough Drops, and various other symptom relief options because I'm afraid to buy them on the ship and be "flagged" that we're sick when we really just both have mold and dust allergies that don't mix well with hotel rooms
    • Powdered Honey because the junk that comes when you order tea is just corn syrup
    • EmergenC and Benefiber packets to keep things regular
    • Shaker Bottle, Baby Bottlebrush, and Dish Soap because I like to make a magic potion of green tea, EmergenC, Benefiber, and a little honey each morning - shake it up, pour it over ice, and chug - then wash in the sink
    • Gatorade Packets for hydration
    • Card Games for boredom - ensuring that 2 people can play if we don't make friends
    • Candies from Indonesia and the Philippines to thank the crew with treats from home - easy to find at the local asian grocery store

I am sure I will still be adding more as I think of it but I do not remember the Elemis Lotion being in the dispensers only hand soap at the sink and the shampoo, conditioner and body soap in the shower. My last cruise on the Eurodam we still had the small plastic bottles with the hand cream to bring home. So sadly no more toiletries to bring home. I guess this goes sling with the no plastic bottles.

Oh and that reminds me, I may have to go with the bottled water or just plain ship sink water. With each new can of water I opened the taste became more tinny tasting. I still have an unopened can in the fridge I will leave because it tastes that bad. The tsp water on the ship is actually not that bad, it just needs to be cold to drink it.
