  1. Just got off of the Silhouette, on Monday (May 5) and the craft beers can now be obtained in Cellar Masters.

Great!!! I love me some fine beers.

  2. Everyone has opinions. Some express their opinions differently than others. We can all choose to read or ignore any posts or posters that we determine are not helpful in efforts to achieve our goals relative to cruising well.

In the end, the most important thing is that we try to understand what each other is saying.

    Communication people.

There are lots of cuts. There are lots of changes. There are lots of vacation opportunities. We must be thankful that we can make choices.

    Happy Sails!

  3. We are gonna try to do a suite more often on our future X cruises. Not so much to get to enter Michaels but for the extra space that a suite provides.

  4. Just off the Constellation yesterday. Michael's has been converted to PH, RS, CS and Zenith only.

It was wonderful. No offense meant to anyone but you get what you pay for.

Concierge was excellent. I highly recommend this experience.

Can you tell me what services/amenities/entertainment were on offer? What makes it wonderful and thus likely to motivate one to book a high level suite?

  5. Called again today and got the OBC switched for free grats within 60 seconds, no fuss, no re-booking, no loss of perks.

As I said at the beginning, they just make things harder than they need to be, which is at odds with the on-board experience (mine) which has been very good and easy going.

Consistency is definitely not a strong point with X's onshore people. So if at first you don't succeed.....

  6. The excitement!! It can be overwhelming!!We have experienced some of that to which you refer on holiday period cruises when our kids were younger. It is great that when we want holiday cruising now, we can now choose longer itineraries or lines which don't attract too many kids(ie, HAL) as a means of reducing our exposure to such conditions. Good luck.

  7.

....Celebrity initiated the program, which they have an obligation to administer fairly. The fact is it is now harder to achieve reward levels. While no one is questioning Celeb’s right to make the changes, the underhanded way it was done is the issue and leaves a bad taste with the majority. My feelings are for those who were paid in full, expecting to make the next tier, whatever their reason for booking, and were left without recourse due to the timing of the changes as well as lack of reasonable advance notice. A business which does that and expects loyalty is making a big mistake. The program was their idea to increase sales and profits. They should have foreseen the costs and potential problems and we should not be penalized for their poor judgment....

Well stated! We too have no skin in the game, but fair is fair.

  8. ...Frustration is high and, I expect, particularly so for those who are sailing now or soon [personally, I'm leaving in three weeks for 42 nights on Journey]; I'd like to--and deserve to--know what to expect before I board as the current scenario is casting some taint, no matter how great the onboard experience impressions start pre-cruise, on what should be a lifetime trip... Commitment is a mutual thing...

I hear and understand your frustration. IMO, you do deserve to know what comes with your 42 nights on Journey BEFORE you board.

Hopefully it will all be worked out to your satisfaction.

    In any case, Happy Cruising!!

OP, if you've been on Celebrity many times, the entertainment options and nightlife on Reflection is no different from any other Celebrity ship.

Hazy pretty much said it all, but X seems to be gearing their entertainment in general toward a younger crowd than has been the case. Have a look at the pictures of the "X pax" on their website now compared to 5-10 years ago.

  10. The new future cruise program, we'll be booking our future sailings onboard for now on.

We booked two definitive future cruises on board Reflection two weeks ago so as to take advantage of the 'combinable' feature offered, but the future cruise rep despite not being otherwise occupied, missed an opportunity to inform me of and promote the new passages offering relative to my existing passages.

Communication has never been X's forte.

  11. I am pleased to report that we have been able to make contact with the executive customer service division at Azamara and have been in discussions with them for the past two weeks.

To get this type of consideration, please know that I did email the entire executive board as the listed customer service line proved unhelpful at best.

The executive service division was extremely responsive and helpful and we were able as of this morning to come to an agreement.

It was a pleasure dealing with Aurora and Cynthia and we look forward to another cruise on Azamara without incident in the future.

Congratulations!!!! You have handled this issue very well indeed!!!Happy Sailing!
