  1. The secret algorithm is to find who has the most disposable income that can run through the machines.  DINKs, no mortgage, high credit score, high limit credit cards, etc.

We came home from one trip $4k in the hole (prepaid our next cruise haha) and got Elite offers.  We had been on 4 prior cruises, lowly Red Cards, and had never before had a casino offer other than the basic discount plus DOUCasino. We skipped over getaway, premier, and ultra.

We just got off the Elite cruise and have received our first Ultra offers.  Trying to wait for the next round of Elites but the Ultra is looking pretty good.  I like busy casinos.

  2. I must be in the minority in liking a crowded casino!  Lively atmosphere, machines going off everywhere!  I think it adds to the fun!

DH has early access on 19th and I can book 21st - we are hoping to be able to book two rooms on our offer so our niece and nephew can come along!

Are Ultra codes bookable more than once?  Elites we can use each code 3 times.

A crowded casino with high level players.  There are more details in your offer and different sailing dates/ships offer different perks.  Some fill faster than others.

I do agree that the quantity of high level players in the casino was obvious.  It was nothing to see many folks well north of 50000 points and all they were playing was slots. As we are newbies, we were certainly on the bottom of the "attention" scale.  The hosts did call us by name when seen in other areas of the ship so that was nice.

  4. The offers with Funplay have a more limited number of sailings to choose from than the ones without Funplay. The Elite benefits are what makes Elite offers special, not the Funplay in my opinion. I just got off our first Elite cruise on the Spirit.  The casino was full, but there was always a seat available. There are only around 100 Elite cruisers on each sailing, so if the casino is packed, its the rest of the guests on board being there, not Elite's fault as it is implied. YMMV, but we thought the benefits, gifts, and special attention were enough to keep booking under these offers as opposed to other casino offers.

  5. That whole particular day was a cluster and that's being kind.  I was also on this cruise and the lot didn't even open until after 1pm due to the situation with the previous cruise being held outside the bay due to the fog.  We had a 6 hour drive to get to the port.  We were actually the very first car in the line on the little side street where you go straight to enter the deck. As this was our first time cruising out of Mobile, we relied on the police to tell us what to do.  They directed us to park here and wait.  About 2 hours later, a port authority security person made us move (but not one other car, but thats another conversation). We went to Waffle House and came back and waited in one of the overflow lots.  After the previous cruise finally docked, we left the overflow lot and started driving circles around the area until the "authorities" would let us in which began about 130pm.  There were plenty of spots available even at 430pm.  Since we were all held in the overflow lots prior to boarding, many people just stayed where they were instead of trying to line up again.  Not one person working the port (police, port authority, etc.) had the same answer of what the procedure was. Happy to report the rest of the cruise was great
