  1. Tropical weather is so mecurial. Now its (lighty) raining. Tropical squall. 🤷‍♀️
  2. I have achieved a connected balcony with my friends next door! I was going to go upstairs and relax on the shaded part of Lido, but finally there was no wind on my balcony, and it is sunny and beautiful out here. And hot! If any of you were around for my first Excel class ship LIVE! you will remember how much this white awning used to really bother me right underneath the ocean suite balconies on a good portion of level nine I guess I’m just used to them now cause I barely see it anymore!
  3. @TheLargeFamily Sorry—meant to say middle of MARCH felt like lots of kids. You see why I don’t normally drink lots of alcohol on a cruise ship? 😂
  4. No it doesn’t—last year I was on Mardi Gras in the middle of October and that definitely felt like LOTS of kids
  5. Not me personally, but four members of our group have had various massages and facials to have a very, very good deep tissue massage.
  6. At the WAVE morning show! 800 kids aboard just FYI We have Gabby and Steph (led my side dancing at party last night) with Kyndall. 3 Americans!
  7. Right? Cruises are like a box of chocolates—you never know what you are going to get! 😂 I’m going with the group’s flow—I get to cruise so often, only fair to go with the Group Gestalt!
  8. Still windy out on the balcony, but not so bad that I can’t sit out here with the coffee. Although that last gust may make me change my mind! Need a little alone time; love my crowd of people on this ship, but sometimes you just need to recharge the energy bank a little bit with some quiet.
  9. At 9am my husband wakes me up and says “Military Appreciation is at 9:30!” I’m like…9:30??? I DO love to go in honor of my Dad, but I was too tired. He’s taking some of our newbies who will really enjoy it though. But I did roll over and go back to sleep (last sea day till the end of the cruise!) SO…I am sitting here with my room service coffee and a bagel and about to go sit out on my balcony to enjoy the rest of the coffee. Funny thing happened…I got my order (only took 20 minutes!) but when I went to pour the coffee, they sent up an empty coffee pot by mistake. No biggie, I called down and they brought me a full pot right up. They were super apologetic, but hey, things happen!
  10. Ended the evening with the White Night party, the casino and pizza! Whew that Kyndall Fire is like the energizer bunny! Got QUITE the workout! Fun, even taught us some new line dances. 6 of the 9 of us went to the party and danced! Casino not very good to me. Will try again tomorrow. Tried to eat my pizza on my balcony but WOW is it windy. Even more than earlier today. Came immediately back inside in defeat and had my pizza in my sitting room of the Ocean Suite. It was a perfect first sea day! Getting the hang of traveling with a large group. See you all tomorrow!
  11. Really enjoyed Soulbound! Costumes, atmosphere, good spooky fun. This cast may be the most talented cast I’ve seen on a Carnival ship, and I’ve seen a whole lot of talented casts the past 3 years on the Excel class ships. It wasn’t just the above expectations singing and dancing, also the joy with which the cast performed.
  12. Dinner was great! Rudi’s has been exceptional at all 3 ships we’ve dined there. I had the tuna with kimchi sauce and watermelon, the Ciaopinno and the broiled lobster tails (which were huge!). Finished with bread pudding.
  13. Rudi’s Seagrill for Firnsl night! Wine is 50% off and we’ve all ordered 4 courses!
  14. We’ve been at Dr Ink’s since 5 in LIVE with the SeaHorse Glide. On my 2nd one and kinda drunk and about to cry during the beautiful Alleluia rendition by our violinists
  15. Some Bingo photos, the boys at the Havana Bar and the Thriller dance class in the Havana Bar then that everyone but our two oldest guys danced in.
  16. LOL clearly I meant PRIZES not PRICES on the last post. That is what happens when you dictate your post instead of type it, when you can’t see your keyboard out on the serenity deck.
  17. Bingo was fun. We bought a bunch of way too expensive bingo packages so like I think we got 48×4 packages for the whole group. Victor was the bingo host and kept it lively. Of course we didn’t win. The first prize was $65 each for three people. The second price was $250 and the third price was a chance at $1000 but the lady won 400. It is so much harder to win on these larger ships that I wish the prices were a bit bigger
  18. We got to the Serenity deck by way of the bingo because all my new cruisers really wanted to play. We are now in serenity deck, and it is very windy and not very sunny but we are having a good time because of the weather. It is not very crowded tons of places to sit.
  19. My son was the only late nighter last night. Went out to Summer’s Landing to enjoy the ocean. Then there is a midnight buffet back there—he had a mini chocolate cake and a mini ham sandwich. One Playlist production cast member was hanging out there talking to everyone!
