I’m obviously grumpy from lack of sleep, so take my comments this morning with that knowledge in hand. Obviously it was the right thing to wake everyone up to save someone’s life, so I’m not grumpy about that, just my inability to fall back asleep for awhile. Didn’t do the lovely Park Cafe for breakfast because of the rain and wind. Instead, I tried the Windjammer. My initial instincts to stay away from the buffet (any buffet) were the right ones. But WOW, I really didn’t like this one. The food was fine and vaguely warm (just like on Carnival) BUT it was like TIme Square on New Year’s Eve. PACKED. I found a table to put my coffee and silverware on. On Carnival, that would save my seat. Went and got some food, since I’ll be gone all day on my excursion. Got back, and my coffee was GONE and people sitting there. I find another table after quite a bit of looking (now my food is vaguely cold) and a server comes over and saves the day…I tell her what happens and she got me a new cappuccino. That was VERY nice, and she got it for me very quickly. There is another place to get Espressos right at the beginning of the Windjammer from the non-pool side (aft? forward? I still get turned around). Had my food, weakly attempted a few videos of the buffet (just too many people; will have to try and find an off time), and now I’m getting ready for my day out. Did find a little spot near a kids outdoor feature right near the coffee spot that had NO high plexi-glass outside; will check that out for a few photos of our sail-in to St. Thomas. By the way, the Cafe Promenade espresso coffee is by far the strongest and best (and only dry one I could achieve) so that explains the big line there every morning. Photos to follo!

Wonder of the Seas has them. They were offered when I booked my room, and I know someone on the ship with me right now that got a Royal-Up to one from a regular interior.

Just got woken up by a 4am in-room announcement. Medical emergency. They need someone with a donor card and an O Negative blood type. I unfortunately have neither. We are at a dead stop; I’m suspecting a medical evacuation. I hope the person is OK. Now I’m wide awake. I went from completely asleep to completely awake.

After Chops, decided that I’d change my boots with heels to flats in order to go to Silent Party in the Solarium. Good decision. This boat is MOVING tonight! Very long line to get headphones, but it went fast. Wish they could air condition the Solarium at night; it is such a big venue would be GREAT for deck parties and silent party, but it was HOT in there, and unlike doing a party on deck where you get breezes, there are none in the Solarium, I danced maybe 7 or 8 songs before it was too much. Went downstairs to the ice show, and it was cancelled. No surprise there; the person at the door said 2 performers were injured earlier today when they did try to have the early show. I hope the injuries were minor, and I can’t believe they even tried one tonight. My reservation is now good for the last night at 7, so Ill have to be packed up before dinner. Good thing my Hibachi reservation is at an odd time for me, 5pm. I’ve given up the ghost for the night—just was too hot to go back to Silent Party Speaking of Silent Parties (for those that don’t know; everyone wears a headphone and there are 2 or more tracks playing and so its silent if you’re watching and kind of a hoot to see everyone jamming to a different beat. REALLY good Silent Parties have 3 channels and live DJ battles (on Celebrity Equinox; best Silent Party EVER! . Tomorrow is St Thomas and I’m really hoping for good weather. This one had 2 channels only and didn’t even see where the DJs were, but it was very well attended. Did 13,500 steps today; if I felt like going out more or casino I could have got my 15,000, but hey, I’m on vacation!

The Filet Mignonette was perfect—proper medium rare, properly warm and melt in your mouth! sides of Yukon hold mashed potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. sauces of peppercorn—didn’t like it—and wine reduction. Also meh. Sauces really not required! bread was warm too—Parmasean Bread excellent and Pretzel Bread ( too salty!) There was a bride and wedding party here. I don’t usually post photos of random strangers but I feel like I was a guest at her reception!
