We have used SAS and they were wonderful - $15 per person but don't think they do just a pick up for 2 anymore but not sure?? I have never taken a cab from FLL to the POM but know that a cab from South Beach to FLL airport is about $80-$85 one way. I believe there is a budget hotel in FLL that does offer transportation to the POM - think it is a Ramada - I worked with a gal year ago that stayed there - nothing fancy and the outside area and restaurant were pretty good - Hotel Intercontinental in Miami is gorgeous and just depends on your budget, etc

See that lockers are for rent - can someone please tell me where the lockers are located? I assume in the main area where you eat lunch, etc.?
Thanks!

We used SAS a few years ago as well - picked us up at a FLL beach hotel to Port of Miami - $15 each - great experience!

Mike - your review is absolutely unbelievable...thanks for sharing. You have a lovely family as well. I was suprised to read that you stopped in Bangor, Maine to do some school shopping. We live closeby Bangor.

From photos people have posted, there appears to be some good shade with the palm trees on the beach. Just wondering if you can really get shade without renting a clamshell?
Also, it appears you can walk on the beach for a long ways. Anyone who has been there have an idea of how far you can walk?
Thanks!

I've seen these two hotels come up on Expedia at great rates all of the time but never considered them thinking it was too far away from anything. Am I understanding correctly that at the Deauville there is a Walgreen's and shopping area closeby. What about restaurants within walking distance? Is the bus stop closeby if you wanted to go to Lincoln Road, etc.? Are the Newport and Deauville near each other?
Thanks!

Just requesting information again on Jolly Roger. See that Carnival now offers this tour. HOw much? Times, etc.,? Does it include lunch? Thanks!

The Puerto Maya pier now has so many shops that I don't feel it's really necessary to go into town but am sure the in-shops would disagree! We enjoy walking but it is a long walk into town and no shade and on a hot day, it's a bit too much. We saw lots of people doing it though.

Where is the Embasy Suites located?? I assume near the airport since most hotels downtown don't offer shuttle service, etc.

We are going on the Liberty in two weeks and wanted to check out the menus - my husband had the meatloaf last year on the Victory - horrible and he is not a picky eater - nice to see the pictures of the food - I typically go with fish (not fried) and is usually quite good
